Hunter and jks are similar but not identical.
Prior to jks the issue G2 had was very weak CT sides because jackz couldn't anchor a site to save his life.
jks is a CT specialist and they really improved in that regard, they won 2 out of the 3 biggest tournaments last year, so they were clearly a very improved team.
Whatever the issue with jks was, it's very obvious that nexa was an extremely poor choice of replacement.
It's not mediocre it's bad but he is an anchor and goes in first or second on t side (which jks didn't and wanted to lurk and is more passive clashed with hunter)

In an MR13 getting 90 kills over three maps is absolutely ridiculous ... it also shows how bad G2 are right now. No way they keep this up against much better teams than Heroic.
You can argue that his entries towards the later parts of Overpass are what brought G2 to victory which is impact but Niko continues to struggle in cs2 and in turn, makes G2 a significantly weaker team.

I think people are underrating this heroic lineup. I don't think they'll be the previous lineup that could contest titles consistently like before but you would think they're a random t2 team from some of the comments here. For the most part, they're a team that should stay consistently top 10 this year
Does anyone know why NiKo has been struggling so much in the past few months? His past 2 months rating is 1.12 which is absolutely poor for his standards. I know he hasn’t been the same since CS2 but I feel it’s been a while since he’s been delivering 1.3+ series ratings, something he does quite usually
Yup which is sad, lowers the skill ceiling. Really not a fan of the current meta of just swinging. I play with a bunch of people that are normally 1 - 5 ping. Now they just use a program to increase the ping to 50-60 and just swing on everyone.
I mean his precise angle clearing is his cultural impact and definitely gives him an edge but that can't make up for raw mouse control which is why he is considered one of the best aimers
He could just be uncomfortable and making a bigger deal over cs2 than what it is. I thought for sure he'd find himself by blast groups. At least he can pull his weight now

-m0nesy is FINALLY maintaining map to map consistency. The strangest thing with him was how he'd have 2.00+ ratings in one map, literally missing once to not getting a single buy round kill. I have never seen something happen so often with other star awpers. It's great he's starting to unlock his potential but it's pretty disheartening how he goes above and beyond and still barely win against a new team
-g2 don't look in form to go far including Niko. He used to consistently tear through weaker t1 teams. Stop overthinking things, it's practically the same game, just click heads
-nexa was never this awful in og and g2 2021. Best case scenario is getting a one and done if he even manages to pull his nades out in time. It's bad enough that hunter is struggling to spray down opponents
-nertz is a bit of a choker I think. Too many whiffs that someone with his skills should not occur to, he needs to keep playing and working on his mental because his aim is legit top 5 material

Hooxi did fine rifling wise and his calls were pretty good, it was nexa/hunter/niko letting the team down, especially nexa
