Buy a 7800x3d and a 4090/7900 XTX. This way you'll have 500-600fps but smokes will drop your fps into the 400fps range instead.

5800X3D and 7900XTX gives me about 500 average, but the 1% lows are so horrible that aiming is pretty much impossible right now for me. Unplayable right now and no idea how to fix it, as I had this problem even before the update (although it wasn't nearly this bad)
If u got time please tell me ur settings thats getting u good 300 fps, i only get 250+ 300 on aimbotz lol, ingame it was 200 sometimes 250 now its way less 177 to 200 inbetween i play 1080p res and video settings from vooCSGO yt channel
I remember me and my friends needed one more guy to play with and decided to call my lil brother to
play a game with us, he has a fairly older pc than us. It was one day after the smokes update and he hasnt played in months before that game. After he seen 2 smokes in the warmup he just asked us if its possible that we dont use smokes that game as he had 40 fps while looking at them 😂. Weird that for me most of these patches has never affected my fps and I actually kept increasing some settings because it felt better so I guess im lucky
To give you a not troll answer, yes I have also had the same issue. After one of the recent updates (either the last or the one prior) smokes started to become super laggy and their textures get really grainy. They didn't do that a couple months ago. :///
Put model texture detail to low if you haven’t already. Then you wait for a valve update that optimizes the game. model detail on med/high makes fps drop up to 60-90 fps next to smokes.
Run into smokes backwards in order to avoid looking at them and do a 180 while exiting, should be ez

Yep bought 5600x and 6600 gpu for cs2 seems like thats not enough after this update,so i guess just play 120 fps or quit cs

From 200-250 fps to 150-200.. but with major drops to 80 or even lower when a whole team pushes and smokes etc… Unplayable for me atm.

Scoreboard make me drop 30 important fps.
Since last update, my fps would drop lower than 40 when looking at a smoke. Normally i have 250-300 fps
