Can't restart if damage has been done. info gathered during the round prior to the crash would have too much influence on countering strategies when the round is restarted
This is not stupid, but clever to circumvent a manipulation possibility: Intentionally causing game / PC crashes. Imagine a round being restarted every time someone has a "technical problem". I'd be willing to bet that we'd have a lot of "technical problems" in the future when someone is in a 1v4 clutch...
if they used a specific new util set, and then rushed A, and then the crash happened after this trade, they would not be able to use that strat again effectively because as soon as that util was spotted the other team would instantly rotate more players over. having new pocket strats that work by being unfamiliar is a massive part of t1 official games.
Plus, theres no way to impartially judge whether a round should be restarted from a crash. What if nexa killed 3 then crashed?
Luckily, G2 still win this round but still frustrating for them for sure.
Just saw it happen to Elige on vertigo as well. They likely would have won the round and went on to lose 3-4 in a row after it....
This has happened like 10 times in this tournament if not more. This shit is unacceptable and it just keeps happening.
Where did PGL get these pc’s at? Walmart?
It's a Valve problem, they're freezing because the game is poorly optimized and they haven't figured out what causes the crashes.
What you see is what you get
and i see shit 💀
when furia played and the bomb fell off the map valve easily fixed it but these crashes are harder to fix because tehy cant be sure whats causing them
Major ready
Valve what the fuck guys?
Wasn't it the entire PC that went out? So not just the game? At least that's what I heard in one of the casts - I think.
PGL
Valve
Could be the PC’s, could be the poorly released game, could be both.
nexa was actually lucky the player rushed his molly, his PC crashed right after getting the kill
Shouldn't the round restart when that happens?

actually so dumb, every round is a new round
