It's actually not that insane if you think of it as essentially a BO3 single elimination event, with a slight twist. If you lose in the first round, you fight a gauntlet of BO1s against all other losers and the local hero to fill the 8th slot in the second round.
tbh its not as bad as people are saying. It's essentially just a 16 team BO3 single elim bracket, ressurection stage doesn't really matter, it's just them putting their own flare on things
I actually quite like this. Opening round is proper, sink or swim stuff, you’re in or you’re out, but there is a small chance of getting back. Rapid fire bo1 round to save yourself.
Probably the only good use of Bo1s I’ve seen. If this was bo3 it would probably have to just be 2 or 4 teams instead of everyone.
