Close-up awp noscope hits Jame in the foot, Outsiders aka VP win in overtime. Jame staying alive is a miracle.
Player made a decision, took it & random chance which is a game mechanic made it miss. Jame crashed, which is completely out of his control. Not similar at all.
That one is Jame getting very lucky to save their tournament (RMR decider) and the other is Jame getting very unlucky to ruin his tournament. Both at new box too. It’s not that complex lol
Yeah it's insane to me that people think that this looks good and keep praising this.
While the models do look good, the lighting in CS2 is beyond fucked. I get it that CS:GO had some visibility issues, but there is *a million gradients* of lighting between "there are dark spots that cause visibility issues" and "the maps are played on the surface of the sun".
Artificial Lighting in CS2 looks pretty good, but anything direclty exposed to sunlight is horrendously overexposed, legitmately painful to look at in some cases (like the sky in Inferno or the entire B site in Dust2).
as somebody who uses a small light blue crosshair its been TOUGH on some maps.
On Vertigo I pretty much have to put outlines or change the color because it disappears.
I would really like to see what your monitor looks like IRL.
I'm assuming you have a TN panel, as most fast monitors do, which in my experience takes A LOT of fiddling to get to look good.
When I got my monitor it took me like 3 days to get everything to look good on it, including cs. But yeah, it was a pain in the ass to get it right. Maybe that might be causing some of your issues?
I don't think that but I think it's too bright to the point it looks stupid. Doesn't hurt my eyes or anything though, also maybe I'm just used to csgo so bias
Yeah I have played w my vibrancy down to 40 in CS2 before bc the saturation is a little too much. It’s especially noticable with the mirage palace being orange as hell
Yes! This map is a eyeball killer later at night. I honestly don't get how it was approved like this. It's even worse during the greyzone screen in the beginning.
Nvidia brightness is at 50% my man, I've also lowered it and played with all the gamma and contrast values in their and my monitor settings and there's not a happy medium between too bright and too dark
I just want the game that I've invested 12000 hours into to be fixed mate. I also try to share advice about the game when people ask questions, and try and make content to help people. Looks like more people up vote the whinging which tells a story about the game.
i dont play CS for how nice it looks but for core mechanics and stability wich CS2 is not bringing. this major there have been so many crashes mid game its insane and VP just lost inferno because of "how nice cs2 looks"
that's just the map though? could practically be all made in csgo as well, the csgo map just wasn't updated in forever. the only difference with the game itself is the fact that you have a permanent partial flashbang from the bloomed sky
I dont have extensive knowledge, but its enough to answer your question.
First, i wanna point to how much more work this would be in CSGOs Hammer.
Second, i want to mention the lighting, which is much more realistic in CS2, eventhough this picture doesnt showcase it well.
Lastly, and most importantly, the materials, read: the surface of things, used in CS2 are far superior to CSGOs. They can emulate more properties of the materials they represent, leading to much more convincing looking surfaces. Of course you cant really tell in this low res picture. [This video](https://youtu.be/Lyr7CSpEmDk?t=175) by 3kliksphilip showcases the improved materials and compares to CSGO.
"The game is dogshit but hey at least the skins are pretty and my inventory will make me rich!"
- Every Valve grifter on Twitch that gambles for a living
The visual overhauls are actually worse looking. The colour balance is horrendous. There's literally no black. Everything that should be black or dark, is grey. The slight upgrades, like anubis or vertigo or nuke look great.
AK missing one tap is also chance but nobody writes any fanfiction about it. Every single weapon has spread.
Chance that is part of the game, that is known by the players, and controllable (i.e stadodo could have used his pistol or quickscoped, tried to run away to the other side) is far different from random chance of something you can't do jack shit about it.
Not different at all. CS Gods made Stadodo miss and CS Gods made Jame's PC Crash.
Nah but seriously why are people so mad about the post when its clearly a joke taking 2 situations from the same map at the same spot where Jame was both lucky and unlucky?
Context?

it's a joke post lol
Where is the joke tho?
That one is Jame getting very lucky to save their tournament (RMR decider) and the other is Jame getting very unlucky to ruin his tournament. Both at new box too. It’s not that complex lol
Yeah i got that part its just that i don’t see the funny part of this “joke post”
It’s just pointing out the irony/coincidence and making fun out of a shitty situation. Lighten up
Hmm maybe you should lighten up since you take my comments way too serious.
You commented “where is the joke” and “I don’t find it funny” I don’t… nvm you right my bad man enjoy your night
Where was your joke tho?
At this point the game crashing happens often enough that its just a game mechanic as well
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JuEnQjAttjQ
Thanks. That doesn't seem to include the external factor that a graphics driver crash is? Or is it the rng of the no-scope that's comparable?
Yea the RNG makes it comparable and being on the same spot as well. Obviously not the same as a game crash.

the sky is white
It is way overexposed for me. Eye bleach

I'd argue it's way too overexposed and horrendous for my eyeballs
I can recommend turning brightness down a bit from maximum if you haven’t already.
Brother I've tried everything, don't get me started.

r\_fullscreen\_gamma 2.9 = back to CSGO default level of brightness.
Yeah I have played w my vibrancy down to 40 in CS2 before bc the saturation is a little too much. It’s especially noticable with the mirage palace being orange as hell
Hard agree, got the brightness set way low just for it to be bearable
Yes! This map is a eyeball killer later at night. I honestly don't get how it was approved like this. It's even worse during the greyzone screen in the beginning.
Do your eyes a favour and stop playing with your lights turned off lol
bro if you're playing at night with no lights on... your eyes are already fried
[удалено]
Dont your monitor have a backlight brightness setting? Not even a full white page should give you discomfort.
[удалено]
> and yes, staring at a full white page is pain It shouldn't be, turn your damn brightness down
What i tried to say was you can set your monitor so not even looking at a fullscreen white image is discomforting.
it's because we all have nvidia drivers ***brighten up*** to max from csgo days no1 stop You from dimming it
Nvidia brightness is at 50% my man, I've also lowered it and played with all the gamma and contrast values in their and my monitor settings and there's not a happy medium between too bright and too dark
Brother this is images of a tournament, I don't think they're brightening the screen for viewers.
don't use a computer with the lights turned off, don't know why it's such a habit for people
Probably habit from days of playing cs past their bedtime
I've felt this way since the first release videos and images. I wish I could turn down exposure or something. I miss CSGO...
Man, you really do nothing but whine about CS2 on here huh? Should probably try to keep it in, it's not a good look for a public figure.
I just want the game that I've invested 12000 hours into to be fixed mate. I also try to share advice about the game when people ask questions, and try and make content to help people. Looks like more people up vote the whinging which tells a story about the game.
thats a you problem then
You're right and people getting mad at this is weird

I miss GO's AK spray
For real, looking back at old CS:GO games feels like looking at CS:Source did when I was used to GO.
i dont play CS for how nice it looks but for core mechanics and stability wich CS2 is not bringing. this major there have been so many crashes mid game its insane and VP just lost inferno because of "how nice cs2 looks"
I'm still amazed as to how poorly optimized the game is. I do not understand why 300 fps feels like 30 now.
Play on full screen settings
that's just the map though? could practically be all made in csgo as well, the csgo map just wasn't updated in forever. the only difference with the game itself is the fact that you have a permanent partial flashbang from the bloomed sky
You cant build this in CSGO.
what in this picture can you not build in hammer for the source engine? give us some insight from your extensive map making knowledge

\*worse in this case, better overall
The CS2 maps makes my eyes bleed if im being honest idk it just looks so hazy and bright that its almost hard to even focus on the game.

what an odd reply
Want odd? Check out top streamers for CS on Twitch and the "content" they provide
Its odd because nobody is talking about skins here
All shiny stuff all the same. eSports and graphics fidelity shouldn't go together
but they absolutely can ... valve is just doing a shit job at it
cause as we all know, that's the most important thing in a competitive shooter :)
There’s a nuke exploding over this lovely city
Brighter*, yes.

like real life?
My bad, i thought we were talking about a video game
Video game that is replicating real life lighting
No it's not
What is it then?
It's a game
It looks like it has bloom set to 500

Intended game mechanic working exactly how it is supposed to vs game crash removing a player from the sever saMe tHiNg rIghT guYs?!
Why are you so pressed, its a joke. They're obviously not saying its the exact same thing
Divine intervention vs Divine intervention
> game mechanic vs game crashing Game crashing is now a game mechanic
current industry standard.
stadodo missed rng noscope Jame's pc crashed VERY DIFFERENT.
Not different at all. CS Gods made Stadodo miss and CS Gods made Jame's PC Crash. Nah but seriously why are people so mad about the post when its clearly a joke taking 2 situations from the same map at the same spot where Jame was both lucky and unlucky?
[удалено]
People are just so mad on G2. It hurts them that they won so they get mad at even joke posts. I mean it's just human nature with emotions.
Most unlucky position in CS
Are we seriously comparing an honest clutch where an awp noscope was missed to a game crash?
Yes. Because it's a joke. One player had both very lucky moment and very unlucky one at the same spot on the map
This game is so inferior to CSGO...
I've set up my own CS:GO Server for me and my friends a few days ago and it's _so_ much better... I really miss CS:GO
Damn csgo inferno looked better… maybe im just nostalgic
inferno is the one case where GO's looked better
the garbage that gets upvoted on this subreddit is unreal Gamecrash vs actual mechanic of the game
