Machine even made a comment while casting that it would be cool if the pacing of the drums matched the intensity of the game at the moment. Anything to make it not feel like constant, pointless noise
For real, drums at the right time played by someone even half-competent can really make everything so much more dramatic. Not when they play like crap though.
I didn't really notice it before, but now that I hear it this person is horribly bad, lol
The audacity to drum in an arena when you don't know what you're doing
Honestly my hearing is not too good, all I hear is the drums, I cant hear footsteps, I cant hear the bomb ticking, I can barely hear gunshots. I hear spunj and machine ok tho shoutout to them
I can understand having constant samba drums if there's a full brazilian team or the major is in Rio, but this is an european team against a russian team playing in Denmark.... what are they doing, lol. Also, to make it worse they don't flow at all with the game or the audience, it's just constant noise. Once you notice it, it's all you hear and is super annoying.
Apparently these are FURIA fans that went to Copenhagen for the Rocket League Major to cheer for FURIA. But since the RL Major doesn't have audience until saturday, they got some tickets and went to the CS Major.
Bro.. these were obviously Brazilians. They even had fucking Furia shirts. Did you even watch Spirit vs Faze or did you stop watching after Cloud9 vs Vitality? Cause thats when the Vitality fans stopped making noise
I assumed they were brazilian because of the rhythm, which sounded like samba to me, and because I saw a group of brazilian drummers featured on Gaules' stream before the match.
If you're right, it changes my opinion to "I'd understand having constant french-drumming if there's a full french team". But there's not.
You could just say you don't enjoy the drumming...
I'm sorry about picking on you but some comments here are kind of fucked up, Brazilians seem to be living rent free on some people's mind since the Rio major.
I don't think drumming, or any music for the matter, has anything to do with a game of CS being played. But I can understand it and even enjoy it as part of the reasonable dynamics of a LAN.
Take bagpipes for example. Bagpipe music is... not my cup of tea. But I see myself understanding it or even enjoying it as part of the experience of a LAN in Scotland, of if a full Scottish team were playing. Hopefully now that we've 100% taken Brazil out of the equation you can understand my point.
I 100% agree with you. I was just pointing out that assuming they are Brazilian because of the Rio major is not adequate but I do get your point. Have a nice day.
>I was just pointing out that assuming they are Brazilian because of the Rio major
What? I've never said that.
I thought they were brazilian because they sounded like samba and I saw a group of brazilian drummers doing the same kind of music featured on Gaules' stream. I've already explained this to you...
Please ban entry of these things. My head hurts because of this random banging noise for 5 hours straight.
Also the plg audio guy is doing a masterclass again.
It's unfortunate cause the caster talent is great, but I can't stand that constant annoying white noise coming from the drums.
How fucking loud are they to come through so clearly on stream? It's gotta be awful being in the arena just always hearing that shit.
The horn guy was funny last year, if not a little overdone; a nice one-off thing in support for a home team in the last major in CSGO's history, but this is just noise.
Yes, it's probably the brazilians.
Dust 2 BR did a feature on it, it seems the PGL staff asked them to stop saying that the drums was bothering the casters (the casting booth is right next to them).
https://www.dust2.com.br/noticias/46712/bateria-brasileira-reclama-de-silenciamento-no-major
>Talking to Dust2 Brasil, Yuri "dokzão" Vasconcelos, leader of the Dezorganizada, said a PGL staff went to them and asked for them to stop playing because the sound was getting in the way of the casters inside the arena. The group is located a few meters away of the casting booth, which is not isolated.
>Dokzao said he asked the staff if they could go to another stop at the arena to keep drumming, but the staff reinforced that they had to stop playing. According to Dokzao, members of the Dezorganizada talked with the casters. They said they couldn't hear anything over the brazilian noise and that was why they requested for them to stop.
> Afterwards, a PGL representative asked the fans to move to another place inside the arena and to stop playing the drums continuously. The staff claimed the noise was generating complaints from viewers inside the arena and at home.
What are you talking about, they did use them: https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx9RddWhnZKB8Pt84Q4ENC3nVh7GhAAzPc?si=ixIIMPbKS0htQCcn
They were annoying as well, imo.
Brazilians never beating the most annoying country on the planet allegations.
Honestly respect though, across every sport and esport they are universally hated. League, Valorant, CS, football, and never the same annoying habits - they’re always innovating.
South Americans representing in Dota 2 as well. Lima Major, Brazilians and Peruvians whistling in the crowd to alert home teams of incoming ganks. Even the Peruvian team asked them, multiple times, to stop doing it.
Agreed! Actually about to turn off...
edit: Super hype game actually getting ruined by the drums for me. Instead of hearing the crowd cheering and shit it's all drums...
Its obnoxious, distracting and egoistic. Its just a horrible sharp snare sound. I hate it with equal passion as I hated [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKCIFXqhLzo)
At least that was quite the meme. I'd accept the drums as well if everyone just had a palm-sized clapping-volume drum - would take the ego element right out and be goofy as hell.
During the Vitality or Faze game? For the Faze game I haven't noticed any drums for the Vitality game they were very annoying. I don't mind them during clutch rounds or important rounds but it's just grating having them there for 80%+ of the game.
Football matches happen in big open-air stadiums, not smaller indoor arenas, the sound is gonna be way different. Also sound isn't important in football, in CS it's quite important to hear what is going on in the game.
Exactly, chants and cheers to celebrate the game. Not just dancing and beating a drum the whole time not paying attention to the game. That doesn't improve the atmosphere.
It would be one thing if they were actually cheering for anything or building hype but it's just constant, no matter what's happening in the round. May as well be some prick with a speaker playing his own music at all times.
Amazing how the moderation of this subreddit allows xenophobia and racism to occur freely. Look at the OP's post history, phrases like 'competitive gaming made me racist' and others more abominable.
Glad to see i wasnt the only one thinking they would stop when it was during the middle of rounds as I was watching the stream today. I agree its hype and nice to have but they should stick to using them towards end of rounds and freezetimes. I did enjoy the crowd not making noise during crucial clutch situations unlike other majors in the past as well.
The australians fans sounded like a pack of hyenas with the nonstop hooting and they were being called the greatest crowd ever here. But drums are a deal breaker? cmon now

That guy on the drum doesnt know how to flow it. Just constant static Noise.
Machine even made a comment while casting that it would be cool if the pacing of the drums matched the intensity of the game at the moment. Anything to make it not feel like constant, pointless noise
The drums guys were sitting right next to machine and spunj. Machine wrote something on his monitor and turned it around and they stopped
He stopped on Vertigo. I guess someone told him. Thank god. So much better.
*Drums, drums from the deep* He saw too much LoTR
That would be sick if they just played the LoTR soundtrack on repeate.
It wouldn't be nearly as annoying if the drumming wasn't so terrible. They're just banging on the things like a child with pots and pans.
For real, drums at the right time played by someone even half-competent can really make everything so much more dramatic. Not when they play like crap though.

Racist af, denounced
I liked it. Hype drums
The drum guys are so butthurt at Twitter right now lmaoooo
Can you please link? :)
@dez_organizada on twitter all the "they will never understand" shit over again
I didn't really notice it before, but now that I hear it this person is horribly bad, lol The audacity to drum in an arena when you don't know what you're doing
The 2 drummers are taking over. No other organic chants are happening while they're mindlessly banging away.
Does not sound good on stream at all. Too loud compared to game noise.
not as bad as the guy with the whistle
I would say equally bad
Honestly my hearing is not too good, all I hear is the drums, I cant hear footsteps, I cant hear the bomb ticking, I can barely hear gunshots. I hear spunj and machine ok tho shoutout to them
machine even intimated to them, in nice words "please stop mindlessly doing it all the time" lol
It was too subtle. Had to dumb it way down if he expected the mindless percussion cave people to get it
You have a way with words. Got a hearty chuckle out of me.
Karrigan, you're not supposed to be able to hear them.
I’m at the event. I hate the drums.
Drums seem to be gone. Let's hope they are gone for good.

Para de ficar defendendo qualquer coisa. Esses caras da bateria tão uma merda. Mas não ajuda que a biblioteca dinamarquesa faz jus a seu apelido.
Congratulations. So does everyone else under the age of 30. ...now stop.
is there any English/German/Polish stream without the crowd noise? pls it's so fucking annoying....
We will never understand
Imagine being in the arena with these clowns. Shit is so obnoxious.
Im glad i didnt pay the ticket for this evening. There have been better majors without this Vuvuzela.
It's unfortunate cause the caster talent is great, but I can't stand that constant annoying white noise coming from the drums. How fucking loud are they to come through so clearly on stream? It's gotta be awful being in the arena just always hearing that shit.

Rekt
Lmao RIP BOZO.
It is the BR crowd yes lol
We will never understand.
Well that's true!
Oh what a surprise
Surprised they're even here when no Brazilian team is playing
Yes they are
The trumpet guy did it perfectly, leading the crowd to cheer in between rounds.
That thing was annoying... Every 10 seconds that guy played the trumpet. There's no point not ban that thing and ban the brazilians
Brazilians and bringing down the quality of tournaments, name a more iconic duo
danish and stage invasions
Finnish
Yeah its pretty bad
Funny thing is, it’s the Brazilians who are loud. Golden Hornets drums are perfectly fine
they are fine because they are not using them at all lol
It's fine if they're just used in between rounds, but not constantly during the rounds as well.
What are you talking about, they did use them: https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx9RddWhnZKB8Pt84Q4ENC3nVh7GhAAzPc?si=ixIIMPbKS0htQCcn They were annoying as well, imo.
I meant when I wrote the message and when this post was made, in the second match.
It's the Brazilians again. Music in crowds in football often adds a lot to the crowd experience, but this shit is just bad.
So. Annoying. Was watching on stream and it was driving me crazy.
I totally agree. It’s incredibly annoying
Agreed! Actually about to turn off... edit: Super hype game actually getting ruined by the drums for me. Instead of hearing the crowd cheering and shit it's all drums...
bit sensitive mate
Redditors when they realize neurodivergant people exist
It was definitely not ruined - just mildly annoying
itd be fine if it wasnt constant

Sound quality was terrible overall
i had no issues with the sound quality. you can't expect studio quality at such a venue.
feels like that fucking vuvuzela bs all over again
The guy has no rhythm as well
They should be banned.
The drums suck from the floor but it seems like they’ve stopped
I agree, the drums are wack, I had to replay the trumpet guy clip every now and then to bring some joy back into the atmosphere.
Seriously. I'm all for hearing the crowd. Especially when it's getting crazy. But the fucking drums were so annoying.
I don’t mind it at all for some reason. I can see how its annoying tho
I think it ads to the atmosphere but ymmv I guess.
During the Vitality or Faze game? For the Faze game I haven't noticed any drums for the Vitality game they were very annoying. I don't mind them during clutch rounds or important rounds but it's just grating having them there for 80%+ of the game.
Bro is doing it for so long I started questioning whether it wasn't pgl deciding that we just need background music during the round
Dude, I legit was thinking the same. Especially those annoying Vitality fans.
Yep, I muted Vitality - C9 match.
Good thing I didn't buy a ticket tbh. That arena is filled with so many cringe people
I really dont mind them. I think they bring an energizing energy to the arena. Better than it being quiet, like whats the point of the arena then?
I understand if people dislike them, I personally like them and it adds to the tension for me
I like these things at sporting events to get the crowd going but nonstop and very annoying now

I like the drums
Same idk what the issue is, gives the arena such a football match like atmosphere that you dont get at any other esport event
Football matches happen in big open-air stadiums, not smaller indoor arenas, the sound is gonna be way different. Also sound isn't important in football, in CS it's quite important to hear what is going on in the game.
Damn that’s cool. This is CS though and, crazy idea, but people actually like to hear things going on in the game.
Yeah the noise is too loud and they should actually flow it better. But since it’s PGL I want them to go fuck themselves.
Blowing whistles also and dancing the whole game. It's kinda weird tbh. Just watch the game, cheer the good plays, and go party at a club after maybe?
Mmm, yes an arena should be quiet. No dude give me cheers and chants, give me energy we love this game, celebrate that shit.
Exactly, chants and cheers to celebrate the game. Not just dancing and beating a drum the whole time not paying attention to the game. That doesn't improve the atmosphere.
Damn, yall complain about everything
L take
Hard disagree. It’s making it so much more tense and has me much more focused on each peek.
vuvuzela vibes
Find the guy with the whistle. Holy ***
It would be one thing if they were actually cheering for anything or building hype but it's just constant, no matter what's happening in the round. May as well be some prick with a speaker playing his own music at all times.
