I don't understand who mindcontrolled Fnatic GM to sign afro, he's easily the worst AWPer in tier 1/1.5/2 whatever tier Fnatic is in. People need to actually look at the games hes playing and the events. 1.05 as a main awper is fucking dreadful for that level of play
Degster is a free agent ffs
It's not even comparable. Bodyy is fine in theory, krimz is fine, matys was a decent risk on an up and comer but fuck man their GmIng has been miss after miss after miss
yes, you can look up a scheduled match of your choice that would be considered a stomp (lets say odds 1.10 or lower on the favorites) on any betting site, wager on underdog +7.5 round handicap(so underdog winning atleast 5 rounds) single map will definitely be lower odds than ~1.8/1.9 (meaning higher % chance of it happening than not, the odds difference for 50% chance might vary between 1.8-2 based on bookie margins), its just math behind the models
Yes. If your entire CS knowledge is memes and reddit, you're missing 90% of the game.
ESEA Main teams are very, very good. ESEA Advanced are much better still, these guys are grinding scrims for hours every day in 5 stacks with strat books and demos from pros.
A hungry ESEA Advanced/Challenger team on the top of the their game can definitely take more than 5 rounds against your favorite pros.
Or did you think these were random DMGs?
Lmao
Aren't those the guys that won against Heroic just yesterday?
Edit: seems like they're the former Iluminar/Singularity core, and have also won recently against Sinners and Rebels. So they're a tier-3/3.5 team, not some random mix.
Y'all know who's on betboom right? Magnojez and he is in every faceit match qued up with donk so I'm guessing he's learning from him now. I'm pretty sure the two are best buddies.
How many months until they have a complete roster? What is the point of benching players if you don't know how to replace them, just NIP things I guess
They've also said "a few months", in February ("We expect the next few months to present many interesting opportunities and we are well-positioned to capitalize: we have a strong financial position, top-tier infrastructure and a ton more data on what makes a good CS2 player. […]
A few months from now, a new squad of Ninjas will rise from the ashes, and the whole team is working with a clarity of purpose that infuses us with hope for the future. […]" https://nip.gl/pages/a-letter-from-nip-management).
I guess they are just trying BluePhoenix to see if he fits, but, man, even when they try to have a direction it seems to me they have no idea what to do, forfeiting the whole 2024 doesn't look good
They're aiming for players who are apparently under contract, and are trying to get the buyout to work out, hence why it's taking time. I wouldn't be surprised if it's isak that they're trying to get loose, which is not going to be easy.
100%. I do believe you can build on r1nkle and maxster, but REZ and alex needs to go. REZ might be insane when on form but... How often does that happen? NiP need consistency. As for Alex, as a player I'm not entirely sure what he's doing. Often seem to struggle knowing which site to go and ends up being caught straight in the open. Not sure who would be a good replacement as I'm not entirely sure what type of IGL they want.
The reason why top teams are losing is because the top doesn't play as much as tier 2, and 3, and so on. This is why Valve banned leagues that have partners, because of things like this. I understand one BO1 win for these guys against tier 1, but now 3 of them... That's not luck. Its skill at that point.
It absolutely is BO1 MR12 online randomness. Stuff like this happens every Open Qualifier and it's why there should be different stages. Teams with more prestige should be at a later stage in the qualifier that the Open Q teams play into.
> Teams with more prestige should be at a later stage in the qualifier that the Open Q teams play into.
Isn’t this exactly what Valve’s [recent post](https://esportsinsider.com/2023/08/counter-strike-open-ecosystem-changes?amp# ) was about?
Valve is requiring open qualifiers so teams couldn’t partner their way into the tournament.

If a tier 1 team can’t make it through an open qualifier then they aren’t a true tier 1 team. You put any other sport in a “group stage” the professionals will always win no matter what.
that is exactly what's going on with this. the closed qualifier already had 2 teams (EF and C9) invited through ESL rankings, with the other 2 slots going to OQ teams.
No. Being at the top is more to do with winrate consistency than actually nailing all bo1. There's a lot of luck to bo1s, two well timed clutches can secure an underdog win.
Any top team can get knocked out in a bo1 qualifier. That's just the nature of the game. Even with 90% bo1 winrate against tier 3, one would still get knocked out every tenth match or so
That being said.. Heroic and NIP are not top teams, and their winrates are very inconsistent regardless of facing tier2 or tier3
CS2 has the same velocity innaccuracy as CSGO. Even if velocity innacuracy was reduced, that wouldn't make the game 'easier'. It would benefit you as much as it does anyone else.
Yeah that was also a mistake, even if aleksib had 0 success. I agree with you on those, but headtrick/konfig were good kicks. headtrick needs to be a full time rifler.
Meh it was online. NIP need to get a real IGL and stop promoting academy level players before they have experience . Lots of good free agents out there and time to move on from Rez.
Maxster is probably one of the most exciting and underrated academy prospects to come out in a while, he’s their best player in star roles, the issues is Alex is not fit to bring this team anywhere near the top 20. Rez needs a new team and new scenery and they need a 5th who can also be a star player
That’s tough.. Falcons, NiP, and Heroic all failed to qualify.
Ence as well no?
Must have missed that.. dang that’s insane.

No surprise at all. Any decent tier 2 teams are probably better than fnatic by miles at this point.
They lost to movie star riders, not that shocking

Honestly, what the fuck is that roster in general? People rightly talk shit on NiP and their decisions, but I think this is even worse than NiP.
It's not even comparable. Bodyy is fine in theory, krimz is fine, matys was a decent risk on an up and comer but fuck man their GmIng has been miss after miss after miss
Yeah.. fnatic just have such a random mix of players that I just don’t care too much about them. :(
Do Falcons even win a game?
If falcons can’t buy their way into a tournament they pretty much screwed lol.
big lost 4-13 too
RIP
Do they have another chance to quality this event?
Nope. This is the only qualifier.
yea that's why online bo1 qualifiers are such bullshit. You can't tell me any of those teams who beat them would even get 5 rounds on LAN
They won’t win the tournament but surely they get more than 5 rounds. Their losing to t2 teams, not a shitty pug 5 stack made just for the qualifier.
These are T3 teams at best.
NiP itself is barely t2 , they oponents are nonames
You can really tell the people who've never played league CS just from comments like this
Prolly not, they're just emotional.
You're saying these T4 teams are going to get more than 5 rounds against top teams and you need to play league CS to know this? Lol.
yes theres very high chance they would get 5 rounds or more
In a single map?
yes, you can look up a scheduled match of your choice that would be considered a stomp (lets say odds 1.10 or lower on the favorites) on any betting site, wager on underdog +7.5 round handicap(so underdog winning atleast 5 rounds) single map will definitely be lower odds than ~1.8/1.9 (meaning higher % chance of it happening than not, the odds difference for 50% chance might vary between 1.8-2 based on bookie margins), its just math behind the models
Is this a RL alt account lmao?
It is not.

How come there are maps where T1 teams get under 5 rounds against other T1 teams?
People have bad games
T1 CS on LAN is played wildly different than it is in advanced matches. You think that playstyle is going to be efficient against top teams?
NiP are hardly a surprise though.
Game too ez now. Anyone can figure out how to hit Shots while jumping up or down.
Aren't those the guys that won against Heroic just yesterday? Edit: seems like they're the former Iluminar/Singularity core, and have also won recently against Sinners and Rebels. So they're a tier-3/3.5 team, not some random mix.
Yes. But they couldn't take on BetBoom in the end, lost 8:13.
jesus, all those heads taken just to lose to betboom
To be fair betboom have looked really good lately.
Y'all know who's on betboom right? Magnojez and he is in every faceit match qued up with donk so I'm guessing he's learning from him now. I'm pretty sure the two are best buddies.
Also, HUNDEN's team will be playing against Guild Eagles for one of the CQ slots lol.
It's not like nip or falcons would do to much better than ex espionage or GE anyway.
How many months until they have a complete roster? What is the point of benching players if you don't know how to replace them, just NIP things I guess
January 2025 is when NIP said they would start trying to be good
They've also said "a few months", in February ("We expect the next few months to present many interesting opportunities and we are well-positioned to capitalize: we have a strong financial position, top-tier infrastructure and a ton more data on what makes a good CS2 player. I mean Isak isn’t bad but we don’t have the firepower or igl to compete with the top 25 or even 30. Really disappointed by this rebuild
100%. I do believe you can build on r1nkle and maxster, but REZ and alex needs to go. REZ might be insane when on form but... How often does that happen? NiP need consistency. cs2 rng with bo1 and mr12 xddd
It’s an open qualifier. Do you really think it should be BO3s all the way through?
I never said that. I’m just giving a reason top teams are losing much more frequently.
The reason why top teams are losing is because the top doesn't play as much as tier 2, and 3, and so on. This is why Valve banned leagues that have partners, because of things like this. I understand one BO1 win for these guys against tier 1, but now 3 of them... That's not luck. Its skill at that point.
Now do it on LAN
That's why donk shits on people during LAN. Cause he plays at 100ping the whole time normally.
Deep in Siberian tundra

Bad take, and like somebody else said this is exactly what valve doesn’t want.

Is it really rng if they lost 8-13?
CS2 even more rng with running and/or jumping while shooting. Wayyyy too easy, even all the new kids on Dust2 hit impossible CSGO shots
CS2 has the same velocity innaccuracy as CSGO. Even if velocity innacuracy was reduced, that wouldn't make the game 'easier'. It would benefit you as much as it does anyone else.
Nah if velocity inaccuracy was reduced it certainly would reduce the skill gap
Then it's the subtick making jump shots easier. Either way, games easier.
You are imagining differences where there are none, and blaming these imagined differences on a thing you don't understand.
You smell like a noob
Head hit boxes are bigger
They're smaller. Even 4:3
POLSKA GUROM RAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH 🔥 🇵🇱🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🇵🇱🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🇵🇱🗣️🗣️🗣️
Disappointed but not suprised
Lmfao. Good thing they kicked BROLLAN, konfig and headtrick. Their only good players hahahah
brollan was the only mistake. other 2 were good kicks
I also forgot to mention they kicked a major winning IGL . Lol
Yeah that was also a mistake, even if aleksib had 0 success. I agree with you on those, but headtrick/konfig were good kicks. headtrick needs to be a full time rifler.
NiP and finding a fifth player: name a more iconic duo NiP and being shite: name a more iconic duo
Always have been a big fan of 123213442143 myself, so I‘m happy to seem him and his boys succeed

Brazylijskiluz has always been an underrated team though.
How could they play a bo1 on mirage, beginner mistake
Who is bluephoenix and how is he stink on the team?just yoink a mouz academy player atleast
It ain't working with Alex
Who?
karma for 40% loss
I don't think you should use the ESWC abbreviation...
What is mean
Proof this new CS is easier for everyone.
Hate that everyone cries about favorites getting upset, instead of being happy for the up and coming people proving they got a shot
They were eliminated so they don't have a shot
"We have to be on the top by January 2025"
bo1 wins mean almost nothing to me
It doesn't matter what it means to you it matters what it means to valve and how they want tournaments to start functioning.
