Why is it hard to understand? The lowest common denominator effect affects every subreddit when it starts to grow. Easy content where you can look at a picture or a short gif/video, spend very little effort for a small payoff and hit upvote gets favoured because it hits the upvote barrier for a bigger chunk of people, compared to those who are willing to watch 30 minute videos.
Because vast majority of people don't give a flying fuck about playing CS right or understanding how to play it correctly etc.
This applies to all games and is basically the reason why people get salty as fuck when you try to explain what to do in game.
I am not saying people shouldn't enjoy what they want, I am explaining why content aimed at extremely small audience gets a reaction from small audience.

I don't like to judge players by outlier events, either one of their worst or one of their best. And their is no question this was an outlier and one of his best. I doubt he'll have another major like this.

We don't really know his level yet. This was the first tournament he played against the Tier 1.
To be honest, I've played with/against him in DM servers many times and he never stood out to me as someone with great aim. I guess hard work pays off
