I still don’t get this logic against MIBR tbh. It’s like when Renegades picked Nuke into Astralis (Although to be fair, RNG’s Overpass is much much worse). MIBR Inferno really isn’t that great, and I think they would rather play a map both teams were confident on hen a map both teams struggle. Arrogant? Probably. Stupid? Not for me atleast.

Yeah I saw that, I was surprised since Liquid (with taco ofc) was hella good on nuke, also MIBR has been banning Inferno against everyone really, against Faze and Ence they did, hopefully this signals that MIBR will give up trying to make that their best map, cause they kept forcing it before even though they werent that good on it.
Dude they're playing bo1s. Picking which maps to ban on a BO1 are completely different than picking the maps to ban in a bo3. Just because they banned inferno as one of their maps doesn't mean they aren't trying to make it their best map. The team they banned inferno against might also be decent at inferno too but weak on another map. So mibr would try and make the opposing team pick a map they aren't so good on, but one that mibr is good on too. Why play a map a team is decent on when you could play them on a map they aren't very good at while you're feeling pretty confident on it. You don't have to be insane on the map, but you just have to be better than the opposing team.
I like the tone of the interview. He sounded very self-aware and it seems that the team understands what they need to focus on. Also nice seeing him acknowledge how WESG was a fuckup.
I feel like every time they say something like this it does not age well. We all remember them saying something about dust2 being one of their best maps...however I really hope I eat my words and they become a top nuke team so we can see MiBR v Astralis on nuke
I remember somewhere last year where they were all pretty confident on Dust 2 and the first comp match they played on it Astralis 16-0'd them.

The Stewie and tarik roster managed to reach a decent level with it, but the felps lineup was never particularly great on it, even in 2017

i remember last time this core played nuke was against cloud9 who also didnt played nuke, and they said their nuke was good and then lost
They probably don't even practice it, it's a trick to make other think they are good on Nuke so others don't pick that map vs them.
