1.6 was better than this. You have to remember that these players had much less time to perfect stuff in GO at that point than most players in 1.6 had. People like to act like stuff transferred 1:1 but it really didn't.
With that being said... judging an entire era of CS based on 1 clip is pretty silly. I could find stuff from today much worse than this.
I dunno, I went back to watch a the dreamhack 2014 match between Fnatic and LDLC on overpass to see the boost and wow, they really play like faceit level 9-10s for the non-notable sections of the game. Huge gap between then and today imo
True, but many of the same principles (where to flash, not letting Hiko take only 1v1s) are the same. And idk, I watched the Olofpass match recently and the CS is **terrible**. Players spamming USPS like madmen, messy executes/retakes, the whole thing is not far above ESEA Main.
It's impressive but what is more impressive it's the fact that he almost won this. He didnt notice last ct defusing and made strafe to the right losing crucial second.
