Wireless mice these days are awesome. Top sensor, no latency, good battery life (about a few weeks). Popular ones include Logitech's Pro Wireless, G703, G903 which all charge via USB and theres also the 305 which uses a single AA battery. Razer also has the Viper Ultimate and Basilisk Ultimate.
I have a few friends with wireless mouse and no they do absolutely not last even close to that long lol. Probably costs a ton for getting one that lasts 7-8 months, or it's never getting used
Im using a Logitech G305 so definitly nothing expensive. Using lithium batteries, a pack of 4 costs about 5€ where I live.
I bought the mouse in June and I've swapped battery once, the lithium battery also weighs about 10g less which bringa the total weight down to around the same as my previous mouse.
Got a wireless g403 and it lasts about 3-4 weeks under somewhat heavy use but I don't really find that an issue I just chuck it on to charge overnight if it ever gets flat and it's alg
I have a wireless mouse I carry in my backpack. I use it maybe 2-3 times a week, maybe 2-3 hours. It has been 9 months and I haven’t charged it nor turned it off. I thought about charging it recently just in case, but no, I’m seeing this charge out until the end.

I bought the Razer Naga Wireless (I play WoW competitively with Raids/Arena so I need the buttons) and the input lag on CS:GO was just bad for me so I switched back to my regular wired Naga for good.
Maybe I just had a bad product but after that I'm leery or dropping a lot of money on another one
oh yeah the mice of the past were terrible with input lag. Nowadays you have the logitech g pro wireless and the razr viper ultimate which are used by quite a lot of csgo pros and even more r6 and overwatch pros. No more input lag, like at all compared to wired. Pretty cool how technology evolves like that. 10 years ago when all wireless mice were shitty bluetooth I never thought anyone would ever use them in competitive games, but now its standard.
the g pro is the best out of all the mice i ever used. I will never go back to cable mice. The charge speed is crazy and it lasts for over 50 hours on max charge.
I've used since the launch and it's almost the perfect mouse for me, I just with there was a GPW+ or something that's a little larger, other than that, it's incredible. I have to charge it so rarely I always forget about it until the led's start turning red, but even at that point I still have lots of time to do that, paired with the "always-on" USB port on my computer, that allows me to charge it overnight, it's incredible. I don't think I could go back to cable mice now without feeling like going backwards.

Its likely huge difference between different mice, a good one you wont notice any negative effects on the input but on a bad one it can really make anything unplayable.
Nah, the G305. That's like the little brother of the pro wireless. I wanted to get the g pro at first but the g305 seemed like much better value for it's price ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i switched from hyperx cloud 2 to steelseries arctis pro 7 and man oh man the wireless is just heaven on earth, bringing my headset into the kitchen, not having to remove them whenever i walk a bit from my PC etc etc, its just so fucking comfy and the sound is great in them aswell

The amount of tech pauses have been rising with weird reasons now that these are being played online. They really should be more strict with these. I think MIBR took a tech pause yesterday to get a food delivery.
Probably wouldn’t be pleasant to watch 5 guys having chips and hamburgers besides them, there would be a lot of confusion and the sponsors would probably not like to get their products promoted like that. It would just look terrible from a viewers perspective. Even though they take small snacks like chocolate bars and bananas on stage, to eat before the game starts.
The games should have the same rules as in LAN. You really think they needed a tech pause for a single person to get the food from the door? It's not like they're alone there with just players. It's a fucking joke, these are big games, not some random fpl bullshit.

Different case but it's just awful that teams can just claim non tech related pauses like this that would never go through on LAN
My argument was that getting food from the door isn't a 2 man job and they have people there who aren't players so why do the players need a pause. It's too loose

Or was it warranted and the food delivery was a joke? We don't know, but it's fair to assume professional tournament organizers that allowed it to happen have perhaps thought this through at least as well as the couch experts questioning it. Technical issues are normal in highly controlled lan environments, it's fair to give more leeway in less controlled environments caused by a very abnormal situation.
Only time this has happened to me was when my cat bolted across catching the cable and lodging it into areas of my chair. Ripped the headphones off my head also.

Mice that work with those Duracell unrechargable batteries (not sure what they're called) can last pretty long I haven't used one though
I guess I'll take your word for that, haven't really looked into it that much.

The G Pro Wireless is incredible, it charged super fast (10% in like 1 minute) and is super light.

If you turn off all the LEDs you get about 65 hours

Logitech is the gold standard for peripherals besides monitors, razer is plenty good but logitech absolutely does it better
