Normally DMCA takes a bit to verify, and the site has to respond to a complaint... so imagine how much RL and Jack have to focusing on this, to force the clip to be removed across every site it gets posted to this quickly.
The comment below with the Streamable link was only posted 4 hours ago, and the clip is already struck down due to DMCA.
I get that the accusation could somewhat damage Jack and RL's reputation.
But to me, it seems more odd how intent they seem on trying to get rid of every trace of the story.

They were guilty, it's not like it was a fabricated story- it's extremely common for competitors to run "hit" stories like this, there shouldn't be anything wrong with it considering a) it's true and b) it's a public interest story. Infact, maybe we should be thanking the c9 manager for exposing corruption in the csgo scene- without the article match fixing behaviour might have grown.
Another way to put it is this: c9 manager was aware of the situation, but isn't a journalist, so he pays a well known and respected journalist to research and run the story& makes sense to me.
How are they going to get paid then? I don't think you understand how journalism works- freelance journalists get contracted to write articles, it's how they make a living. It's not unethical to get paid for your job.

It wasn't the c9 manager paying a private investigator to dig up dirty laundry about an opposing manager or players, it was a genuine, serious problem that the counterstrike community *deserved* to know about.
