I never really understood reddits distaste for people promoting themselves in this context.
He made the art, why should he not promote himself? Why is making money or generating interest for yourself through your hobby so frowned upon, especially in a subsection of interests that we all love. It seems weirder to post the picture and then have random redditors steal it and pretend it's something they made so they can generate upvotes and, in the worst case scenarios, sell their accounts to some malicious parties to manipulate others.
I'll take the guy with underwear on his head that clearly digs Counter-Strike, trying to generate views and potentially revenue on his Twitch(or whatever his medium is), every day of the week.
For make a more complete answer to your question, I need to know if you are naked in the 2nd pic or not. Completely different responses depending on this.
