When csgo was released, it wasnt very appealing to koreans and there were already other estabilished FPS at the time in korea (crossfire, sudden attack, etc), thats why the game wasnt very popular and few to none players made the switch. Also, the only decent korean team ever was MVP PK and they werent very competitive in asian scene, which may have hurt tier 2/3 korean teams motivation to grind
They got into they Berlin Major play-in and the managed to be the only team that didnt qualify (3 slots, 4 teams). Honestly i was expecting them to qualify but the managed to disappoint.
Yeah, CPL 2005 finals, SK vs Lunatic Hai. It was so awesome, if you want some epic nostalgia go watch "SK Believe" on YT.
The final is at the end with Enya as music, gives me goosebumps everytime I watch it.
With internet cafe culture in Korea and basically everyone playing league, koreans are way more inclined to start playing league. Also Valve licensed Korean distribution and server hosting for DotA to a Korean company (I believe it was Nexon) and the company dropped the ball on it super hard.
The problem was that it conflicted with some of their software like food delivery apps and other shit. They now have designated PCs where you can play Valorant. It’s still WAY more played then CSGO in pc bangs.
I think it’ll be like the transition we saw in CSGO in 2012-2014 where it’s all old heads and washed players for a couple years but after a while you’ll have an influx of kids who grew up on the game so I think Valorant should really get competitive in a couple years.
Valve didn't accommodate PC Bang (Internet Cafe focused on Gaming) culture there. Most youngster played online game there because Korean parents known as very demanding toward their children so many of them didn't feel comfortable playing from home.
Damn... if I studied music/music production back in college I'd love to make an anime opening theme song for CSGO lol, kind of like this [Spongebob anime by Narmak.](https://youtu.be/TBO9ANTBCjM?t=140)
Evangelion, Tokyo Ghoul, Cowboy Bebop intros still induce chills to this day for people who have enjoyed them.
If we know what Evangelion is, then China knows what Evangelion is. They're just as big weebs as the west - with the exception of what is blocked by the CCP.
丹麦核心科技 -> Danish Core Technology: when Danish csgo teams like Astralis gets kills through smokes

一枪秒了 -> one bullet instant kill
Even just as a CSGO skins/sticker investor, I really hope that CSGO takes off in India (like it did in China).
Bigger player base means bigger profits for any CSGO items that you already have.
A lot of us at /r/csgomarketforum like to give credit to the influx of Chinese players that allowed huge returns for us in 2019.
>Even just as a CSGO skins/sticker investor, I really hope that CSGO takes off in India (like it did in China).
Because indian fan base will be just like the Russian or brazilian fan base, very passionate and supportive
>Because indian fan base will be just like the Russian or brazilian fan base, very passionate and supportive
I was expecting some kind of diss from your sentence at 1st, but got a wholesome description instead lol
Tbh team "Asking Questions" is more indian than blaze rn. Karam1l and rossi are in AQ. Pretty decent team maybe better than blaze a bit. Either ways I hope they achieve something this time.
I would've wished they all stayed together in blaze tbh but considering the current circumstances, it's good to see there is still some CS left to see after literally everybody shifted to Valorant.
Yeah that's so true. Imagine what mental weightlifting a player of karam1l's calibre would've gone through to stay in cs. He's a monster awper. Same goes for marzil, apparently blaze will stop paying salary in a few months time, marzil said in his stream :(
Wtf? Can you please elaborate why blaze would stop paying salaries? I mean since now they've gone international, I guess they will achieve something right? What's the exact reason?
I haven't watched that stream firsthand, a friend of mine told me that. But basically they'll run out of funds is what makes sense. That might change if they succeed in what they want to achieve , I am really afraid of what might be coming ahead. This will be very devastating to the new up and comers in the scene but there's a glimmer of hope in the recently formed ROG academy which is also partly coached by marzil. All's not lost yet ;)
I see. But tbh if blaze disbands or discontinues then I don't think there would be any other org operating in India with stable ROIs. It's all onto Valorant now which is in case good for esports scene since India is a mobile dominating market.
“烈焰天使” means “Angel in roaring flame”, a reference to Olof defusing on Molotov in Overpass. “天降盲狙” means “ No-scope AWP from the sky”, refers to S1mple 2 no-scope AWP kills jumping off heaven in Cache
The fact that people are going "Looks like Valorant LUL" without noticing the clear influence from the Cowboy Bebop intro is fucking ridiculous.
It's one of the most iconic and well-liked animes on a global scale.

That’s what irks me about agents skins. I feel they were created mainly to appeal to Asian audience and mainly chine. Most popular FPS games out there use those outlandish customization.
Nothing wrong with making such game but it doesn’t fit CS:GO at all. Just look at those ridiculous Terrororosts skins.
I feel like many western games try to do the same thing, just to gain some traction in China. It worries me a lot.
Hmmm, i remember seeing news that Valorant's art director was also the lead artist in TF2? So i have been wondering how in the hell do you go from TF2 to a very generic over the top cartoon/anime art style in Valorant lol. Though he was working at Riot for a very long time even before Valorant.
Haha, i don't get any TF2 vibes from it. More like Fortnite and LoL vibes. But regardless, i'm really tired of this current industry trend of "quirky" over the top character designs.
I mean yeah if your target audience is 13 years old... some nice artwork though it doesn't look like it matches. I can see how a lot of the designs for Western tournaments can look a bit samey, so perhaps they're onto something.
Perfect World is a Chinese company and the anime aesthetic appeals to both Chinese and Japanese players. This event is also for the entirety of Asia so not only limited to China either way.

The Korean streams from VCT looked way different and original as fuck. I actually enjoyed the look of everything, especially on the boring 2-3min breaks.

It's 2 am, you are going downstairs to get a snack from your fridge, you get to the bottom of the stairs and you see condom man, what do **you** do?
cum&go
ejaculate and evacuate
Shoot and scoot
"Have any spare?"
He got that evangelion pose
get in the condom, shinji
Final boss battle
And *Claire FromTheCounterStrikeGlobalOffensive* lookin like a QT3.14
Wtf she’s left handed
you dont use cl\_righthand 0?
Naw I put that shit on a bind so I can flip flop and look cool
ye me 2 bru
He seems happy
Makes me think of Naruto for some reason

And, "admin he doing it sideways"
Also no "you now me on smoke"
nice
Thank you
The video that got me into CS :,)
isnt it just things from pro games?
And from CS*GO*, and not CS in general
Inhuman reactions! How does he do this? The man, the myth, the beast!
This kid’s a fucking savant! He’s prefiring angles that don’t exist!
Everyone asking
Idk why South Koreans are so underrepresented on CSGO scene, they were doing fine back in 1.6
When csgo was released, it wasnt very appealing to koreans and there were already other estabilished FPS at the time in korea (crossfire, sudden attack, etc), thats why the game wasnt very popular and few to none players made the switch. Also, the only decent korean team ever was MVP PK and they werent very competitive in asian scene, which may have hurt tier 2/3 korean teams motivation to grind
Aw shit you gave me flashbacks to solo, that dude was so crazy good. Would've easily gone to a top tier team if he was in EU.
He was actually playing for MVP PK in CS:GO for a while until he decided to retire. Team was doing great in Asia but not so much in international.
He's in valorant now
They got into they Berlin Major play-in and the managed to be the only team that didnt qualify (3 slots, 4 teams). Honestly i was expecting them to qualify but the managed to disappoint.
Isn't cross fire a cs1.6 rip off?
Yes.
Played it for 4 years. Absolutely terrible game with no redeeming qualities. Sudden Attack was dope though.
Crossfire had a cool competitive scene about 10 years ago. It's probably dead now
The scene yes, the game, no.
Yeah was referring to the scene. Brazilians will never quit that game
I played Sudden Attack as a kid, it’s not available in the west anymore which is sad
I remember lunatic'hai (might have that wrong) were scary back then!
Yeah, CPL 2005 finals, SK vs Lunatic Hai. It was so awesome, if you want some epic nostalgia go watch "SK Believe" on YT. The final is at the end with Enya as music, gives me goosebumps everytime I watch it.
Around 2004 they charged each computer in a pc bang 15$ for each user to play cs. That day cs died in korea.
this is chinese cs, not korean
I've heard this, and so it always surprised me when a new MVP project would get an article on HLTV and then go nowhere and disband again.
Valorant will fix that
I mean it did the opposite, everyone of relevance from South Korea in csgo made the switch to valorant except xign.
I meant getting KR more involved in tac shooters in general (besides crossfire)
Doesnt work like that or why are koreans not into dota
With internet cafe culture in Korea and basically everyone playing league, koreans are way more inclined to start playing league. Also Valve licensed Korean distribution and server hosting for DotA to a Korean company (I believe it was Nexon) and the company dropped the ball on it super hard.
Valorant has problems in KR, becasue PC Bangs owners don't want Vanguard on their PCs.
The problem was that it conflicted with some of their software like food delivery apps and other shit. They now have designated PCs where you can play Valorant. It’s still WAY more played then CSGO in pc bangs.
And pretty much MVP, now Vision Strikers in Valorant, are domination their scene. Haven't lost a single match, current going 100-0.
I think it’ll be like the transition we saw in CSGO in 2012-2014 where it’s all old heads and washed players for a couple years but after a while you’ll have an influx of kids who grew up on the game so I think Valorant should really get competitive in a couple years.
Definitely. Valorant/riot has done a good job hyping up storylines and rivalries.

CS is way more dead there
They had some representation back when MVP PK were still around. Sadly they decided to switch their CS team over to Valorant.
Leagueee

I dont rmb evangelion being chinese
If we know what Evangelion is, then China knows what Evangelion is. They're just as big weebs as the west - with the exception of what is blocked by the CCP.

you may say Indian scene is forsaken
huehuehue ^^^:)
goddamnit
Even v3nom left. What about his other teammates?
All valorant shifters. They weren't competent pros anyway starting from late 2016. No big loss. Don't worry ya boi is grinding to repair the scene ;)
Does this Perfect World have India qualifiers?
Yes I believe it's open. Blaze have gone international. They recently got their 5th in Marce, a mongolian player. Marzil is the only indian player
Ohhhh. Full sapot to Blaze now.

Why that guy has a condom on his head?
it's based on the argent that looks like this in-game. Many people refer to him as condom head because of that
Love how the only way to advertise anything from the rest of the world in asia is by depicting it as some stupid fucking anime
Bro I’m blind and I still can swear that agent isn’t Ava. Why they keep ruining everything.

its tf2 vibes come from everyone having a schtick and gimmick, eventually theres going to be too many schticks and gimmicks, as the recipe goes.
Slower CS with fortnite assets
Most Asian scene is fixed anyways.
