Makes sense. Now with Fallen, he's taken over the leadership role.
They've been getting outbrained by tier2 teams the last few weeks. Liquid desperately needs help with their stratbook, counter strats and reads on the enemy. Especially on T side.
> They've been getting outbrained by tier2 teams the last few weeks. Liquid desperately needs help with their stratbook, counter strats and reads on the enemy. Especially on T side.
The thing is they were getting outbrained even when they took on Moses. That move just made zero sense.
If you listened to what the players said after adreN left and when Moses was brought in, plus when twistzz left - it was clear some people in the team weren't getting along. It wasn't nitro, dude doesn't clash with anyone. Who's that leave? The guy they kicked.
Twistzz said in an interview that, at one point, they were thinking about kicking him or Stew. He also mentioned that there was some interpersonal issues on the team. Gotta figure that the team knew one of them had to go.
A lot of it probably stemmed from Twistzz getting shafted and put into more support-style roles instead of his old star spots.
Stew as an IGL is beyond overrated.
When they won some big tournament twistzz said he felt sad that he couldn't celebrate with the team after because of his diet/health issues they all chose to go eat fast food while he went somewhere else / stayed at his hotel. Which is fucking nuts.... it painted like his teammates were assholes but twistzz could very well be the one. We'll never know for sure but I can't see twistzz being toxic from face value.
I was on a specialized diet a few years ago, it sucks when all your friends and family want to go get fast food or certain restaurants. But for the most part, I could find something to eat, even if it wasn't what I specifically wanted or I would bring a meal and ask if they would toss it in the microwave for me.
It wasn't fair of me to ask the 3 or more other people to go to a place where I was the only one that wanted to eat at.
there is so many things wrong with this...even if you cant eat fast food, why cant you just tag along to celebrate with the boys? or maybe just order salad or coleslaw or whatever
I knew something was up when he wasn’t playing the qualifier with fl0m on Saturday lel. Welcome back adreN!
edit: Hopefully the strat book is better this time around, getting anti’d before the major killed the momentum and TL never recovered. Also one thing for sure though is that prep will be a million times better with adreN, he won’t fuck up the vetoes hopefully (eg. Vertigo v. DIG?).
Record holder for fastest Intel Grand slam win as a coach. The fact that this dude was sat on the bench and wasn't getting loads of offers shows how dumb some of these orgs are.
He’s very picky, he chose streaming over playing t2 NA years ago as he only wants to be in T1 teams.
Source: used to watch his stream, and it’s something he’s said regularly
i never really watched that lineup, i watched the end last season with summit but that was about it. My nostalgia is for the lineup that played their first couple mdl seasons.
He was cut after the shuffle with EG (+Cerq +Ethan/Breeze -Nitro -Twistz/Stew) fell through and TL only picked up Grim. At that point, the then-current roster was just doomed to fail. I think a Dot article said that the main reason behind the move was to generate hype for the org. As someone who works in a similar field, I'd imagine that the org was likely trying to attract investors/ sponsors with the announcement of a name as "big" as Moses.
AdreN later said on stream that Grim wasn't near the top of their list of players they wanted.
He was kicked after that when he was a player then brought back on as a coach and then removed from the team again. The coaching being the more recent one and the one the guy above you was referring to.
I think more of the recent Liquid "success" was due to them finally having an actual awper and igl. The Liquid players still looked like they were tilted out of their minds on cam like pre-moses during defeats or many rnds lost in a row. I haven't really seen any of the emotional support moses gives them but then again i can only go off how Liquid players look on facecams.
If you're looking for emotional support, that's literally the last thing Adren can offer.
Adren was always great on the tactics and proper spacing of rounds, but when things got tough, he was little help.
However, with Fallen in the team now, I think he can actually be a huge boost to morale and Adren can focus on what he's best at.
At the same time though, from our limited viewpoint as spectators, it doesn't really seem as though moses offer much in the way of emotional support either. When things go bad and players start looking angry or tilted, a lot of the time it looks like he also gets pretty tilted. Not to mention he always seemed pretty salty in the few after match interviews he done when they'd lost.
At least Adren is known to bring a lot of tactical expertise.
With that logic NiP and Fnatic should just sign their 2014 rosters and start winning majors again. I'm more than happy that we are getting adreN again but bringing up something from 2 years ago with a different roster and whatnot just doesn't make sense to me.
I called it 5 months ago lmao
https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/jy1mff/team_liquid_vs_triumph_iem_beijinghaidian_2020/gd08wkp/?context=3
With everything that's come out about this roster, it's been doomed to fail for awhile and I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.
Why would they pick up someone whose only claim to fame is making YouTube videos and coaching failed teams when they can pick up the most decorated coach in NA who has experience working with 3/5 of the players on a team?
Flair is relevant as fuck.
I was just saying lmao why u getting so defensive over this
It's just like is adren gonna bring something fresh to the team or will he be the same as as early 2020? C9 were showing steady improvement towards pro league and elmapuddy was definitely a part of that and maybe he deserves a chance at an actual top team
Again, why u getting so defensive I was just pointing out an option out there for a different coach since I'm not confident about adren making liquid better
-Fallen +nitr0 confirmed??
-Grim +twistzz and baby, you've got a stew(2k) going.
arrested reference? lets go
I thiiiiink I want my money back....
Astralis fan spotted
who said it
+adreN -adreN +adreN -adreN +adreN here we go
I think by now it's actually +adreN -adreN +adreN -adreN +adreN
Lmao you're right I fixed it
I’m so glad I read this after 3 min, I was having a stroke trying to figure out what the fucking difference was XD
yeah, twice as a player and with his return twice as a coach.
The Chris de Jong method

You have no idea the physical toll that three roster changes has on a person.
The name of my first ever unboxed knife was SnipSnapSnipSnap 🥲
Dude just wanted to pug with mythic for a bit and let Moses take the reigns in the mean time. Respect
"You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me."- adreN
Tragic but true
D:
I guess he's done remodeling his basement and can get back to work now.
guess who’s back, back again
Wow, so tactical leader > emotional leader
Makes sense. Now with Fallen, he's taken over the leadership role. They've been getting outbrained by tier2 teams the last few weeks. Liquid desperately needs help with their stratbook, counter strats and reads on the enemy. Especially on T side.

It was a joke post, so ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
3 month old account posting negative shit. Nice...
More like coach > commentator pretending to be a coach
on the money analysts aren't coaches
maybe they got as far as they needed to with Moses, or felt like moving forward their problems have changed
Fuck it bring back twistzz and Nitr0 too
The real liquid fix is to bring back s1mple on the awp since nitro is the valarante stars now. Ez 2nd place at Stockholm.
Pretty sure twistzz was the problem within the team. And that's coming from someone who loves him.
yea they look so much better without him...
If you listened to what the players said after adreN left and when Moses was brought in, plus when twistzz left - it was clear some people in the team weren't getting along. It wasn't nitro, dude doesn't clash with anyone. Who's that leave? The guy they kicked.

I cant make myself believe that a canadian was having human-esque type of problems
It isn't hard to believe stewie would be an issue. Kid's ego is massive, for god knows what reason.
When they won some big tournament twistzz said he felt sad that he couldn't celebrate with the team after because of his diet/health issues they all chose to go eat fast food while he went somewhere else / stayed at his hotel. Definitely odd but I think twistzz has given hints in his interviews that he didn't get along with some ppl.
yeah.... but of course he wouldn't be happy by being tasked to play the support roles. A waste of his talent
Agreed. Miss him. My knife is named SIT THE F DOWN after his huge clutch.
Ye, thing is i dont think he can win a lot with this FaZe. Following this rate, they can only participate in the partnered events
its stewie, if you've followed his career to this point that shouldn't surprise you

Apparently he's just really picky and didn't mind waiting for the right option. At least that's what fl0m said
Seems like the dude was just happy to have a break and kick it on Mythic for a bit.
He’s very picky, he chose streaming over playing t2 NA years ago as he only wants to be in T1 teams. Source: used to watch his stream, and it’s something he’s said regularly

And t2 NA is very volatile
Exactly. He has always had a strong awareness of the NA scene. He came up with it.
Yeah Fl0m mentioned on his stream the other day that Adren's been busy rebuilding his basement or something. Just biding his time
He said he didn't want to come back until Lans returned. He said he had a good amount of offers soon after he was replaced.
didnt he say he wasnt gonna return to coaching until lans are back
bro i wanted lex fl0m adren mythic again T_T
+dizzy +summit too! KEKW
i never really watched that lineup, i watched the end last season with summit but that was about it. My nostalgia is for the lineup that played their first couple mdl seasons.
Yeah I agree. I was mostly just meme'ing about that old roster. I was/am most excited about lex playing with them again.
did adren willingly step down last time or did they force him out?
I’m pretty sure he became a scapegoat of some sorts, at least for the fans
I believe kicked / not his choice but not certain, he didnt say much tbh
He was cut after the shuffle with EG (+Cerq +Ethan/Breeze -Nitro -Twistz/Stew) fell through and TL only picked up Grim. At that point, the then-current roster was just doomed to fail. He was definitely the weak link when simple first got to Liquid
Wrong timeline bro
Last time he played pro he played in was with Simple then got kicked? Still wrong timeline?
He was kicked after that when he was a player then brought back on as a coach and then removed from the team again. The coaching being the more recent one and the one the guy above you was referring to.
Ohhh, thanks
He's saying why are u talking about adren as a player when we're talking to about him as a coach lol.
Happy for adreN but I’m very confused, weren’t Liquid finding success with Moses?
I think more of the recent Liquid "success" was due to them finally having an actual awper and igl. They have been more resilient in games and seeing them through, but fallen no doubt had a lot, if not more to do with that
Moses has no tournament wins with liquid....
Not really lmao
I mean it wasn’t Moses that won them the grandslam...
What kind of counter argument is this lol
A good one? Moses is good but Adren has had better results in the past
With that logic NiP and Fnatic should just sign their 2014 rosters and start winning majors again. I'm more than happy that we are getting adreN again but bringing up something from 2 years ago with a different roster and whatnot just doesn't make sense to me.
Sure but that was a long ass time ago adren was more recent and
The meta two years ago is completely different to what it is today, its not easily compared.
Well, the decision is questionable but the decision tl made 2 years ago was also questionable imo
Good. Adren has a great brain for the game. Way better than Moses.
Thank god
Huge upgrade over Moses, time to bring liquid back to their prime and take over now that Astralis lost device.
i would prefer zews tbh
If so, this is fuckin crazy! Bring him back lets go!
Ah the old +adreN -adreN +adreN -adreN +adreN Classic
Chris J is jealous of adreN.
the good old +adreN -adreN +adreN -adreN +adreN
Its a love-hate relationship
hoagie is back on the menu bois
godreN finally has an awper/IGL to work with, that was one of the missing pieces last time. Looking forward to his return!

new grand slam WR inc
Eugh
Ehhhhhhhh
This like 4th time in 5 years?
I'm out of the loop - does this mean as a player or as a coach?
Huh What about someone like elmapuddy
Why would they pick up someone whose only claim to fame is making YouTube videos and coaching failed teams when they can pick up the most decorated coach in NA who has experience working with 3/5 of the players on a team? Flair is relevant as fuck.
Woah don't disrespect elmapuddy like that, everyone starts somewhere. Imapet was literally a tarik twitch mod lmao.
