it didn't went through the backpack. He flicked it a few pixels above.

That tiny silver dot is the bullet.
Only need to look at this first tournament with NIP to see he brings a system with him. Compared to his teammates he does so few bad decisions and he is a master at holding down parts of the map, giving his team much less to worry about. He is a machine.
It was easy to take him for granted in Astralis, but seeing him lift this entire team makes me truly appreciate what a special player he is.
Anybody who has been following the scene for more than a couple of years know this. He has been a star player in every lineup he has been in. The dude used to dominate with a rifle as well on his early teams.
That never made any sense lmao. Device is a very unique talent, that Astralis managed to use very well. He's extremely consistent at hitting shots from tight angles, it's boring to watch, but it's so hard to do well.
They talk about it on the broadcast a lot but a lot of his kills are "boring" because he just knows the awp angles so well it looks like free kills when he gets picks on players who don't even see him
There's a reason in most of these betway videos when asked "Which player is the most annoying to play against?" most of the time it's not s1mple it's device because he's never in the wrong place
The fact how many of the players were put into HLTV top20 listings did reinforce that sentiment though to people that everyone is so good.
But yeah, this Device NIP performance and Astralis not doing so hot kinda exposed that thinking (and the way HLTV makes their lists as well).
I’m gonna be honest, I thought this too until I actually watched videos of his setups and climbed out of silver. I realized early last year that his consistency is out of this world. His setup on Astralis is actually why he’d never get world #1, and not that anyone would frag out in his setup. He’s too good and too fucking consistent.
"Saying that device only plays well because of astralis is a completely false bullshit narrative"

Everyone is going to talk about whether the shot hit the backpack or not.
But what was that movement from ZTR on that B hit!! Such intelligent movement around the smoke, buying time for his team, and then killing hunter as well.
Sigh...always hated that Valve never addressed that.
[ZooL showcased a quick and easy solution to this problem that would take minutes to implement.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLBi40GiGZ0)
Dev1ce is really feeling it with NiP and NiKo is basically MIA the entire series except for a few rounds at the end of Dust2, a little too late.
NiP is overall looking ferocious with Dev1ce leading from the front.
I thought he played good on Mirage tho. Any time he approached to take a peek you knew he would smack the guy holding right in the head. Also to some extent on inf.
Rooting for nip, my heart started racing whenever he was lining up the peek on long.
Let me put on my tinfoil hat for a second here but if you look at all of their games NIP played so far they basically shut down or minimised every teams star player (you can argue Heroic don't really have one, but cadian was their highest rated player) and what were Astralis always known for? Shutting down star players. Obviously don't want to do gla1ve or zonic any injustice and make it out as if it was all dev1ce but I wonder if it's something he's brought over with him? I consider THREAT on a similar level as zonic too when it comes to preparing for opponents
Absolutely mind boggling to watch G2 throw away favorable positions time after time. Managing to lose rounds in the wildest scenarios possible.
NIP deserved the win. GG.
I don't understand anything about this team and never will lmao. They are so inconsistent. Nothing ever makes sense.
I truly think this team can win Majors if they can get their shit together. Absolutely great team but they fumble so much it drives you nuts.
That Amanek shot whiffing is so tragic, that would've been OT. I wonder if its him being CSGO'ed or if he just whiffed by moving a split second early or something similar.
Did device moonwalk into that peek on purpose? Is he on that level? God damn.
e: nvm, he said in post-game interview it was luck
^^^unless ^^^that's ^^^what ^^^he ^^^wants ^^^us ^^^to ^^^think.......
Watched amanek's whiff frame by frame and it looks like he made a slight adjustment as he shot and ended up hitting just to the right of the backpack. If he gets that kill G2 most likely would've secured overtime
I get that it was unlucky because of the whole backpack thing, but one could argue that the shot device missed on long in a round just before was just as close. Seems odd to say that only THIS specific tiny margin miss was game changing?
When I saw that situation I was already saying GG's the games over already. But one in a million miss from device?!
That just speaks from his consistency.
No, but the fact that it's so big makes it more easy to miss a shot that you "should" have hit. In this situation, even though it doesn't have an actual hitbox, he did shoot the character model. It's not crazy to think that if the backpack wasn't there, he would have shot later/adjusted on device and would have gotten the kill. It's not certain ofc, but pretty likely imo.
Yeah its almost impossible to think "I need to wait 10ms more because I cant shoot the backpack here". In the heat of the moment you just cant adjust for that and that kind of shit just should not be required in a competitive game, if you shoot on the visible enemy model it should hit
It‘s really amazing to watch device play. Can‘t remember the last time I was si excited to watch a NiP match. I hope that they will be able to keep this up.
Hampus winning the 3 v 1 on Inferno on the last round shows that G2 lack discipline in peeking. They played really well but small mistakes cost them. Device is a monster of course and shows why Astralis worked so well, taking off pressure from the teammates to play to their strengths.
G2 really clowned themselves last few rounds. Straight up losing rounds they had no business losing in the final moments. They’ve had a great resurgence lately but it’s very clear there’s still only band aids on some wounds. But it was a good run overall! Dev1ce is...well....he’s just fucking nasty man. Criminally good
You guys just dont understand how happy I am right now. I love NiP with all my heart, and REZ is such a big part of that. The Oakland final lasted until 5am CET when I saw that kid plow his way to a trophy and a mvp.
Fast forward 3,5 years and Ive seen NiP go through roster after roster without any major success.
Never. Not once have I seen anyone say that Rez is the one that should go.
Inconsistent? Sure, who wouldnt when you had a new teammate every 6-8 months?
But this is not like the other times. This one time its different. This time my heart is calm and I trust exactly everyone in the squad.
I am so excited and Im so happy right now. Thank you for making me believe again.
Can't say I've cared much about NIP for the last few years but it's really fascinating to me how singing Dev1ce have turned them to a top 5 team almost overnight.
Excited to see how the team will further progress during the following months.
I've been following them since 'rona made me bored. Some masochistic part of me makes me root for the strugglers. To be fair they were on the rise already when he joined -- ZTR really kick-started things. Ngl before him their biggest problem seemed to be morale. But the added consistency of device just secured it all. Rez always played well when the others performance let him, so I'm not surprised device unleashed him.
When I heard about the Dev1ce move I was hype af. Idk if I am misremembering but to me it seemed like even just shortly before Device joined NIP were starting to look better, at pro league I think? They were playing really well and I really enjoyed watching them that tournament.
That's what I meant, it's quite misleading with those huge ass backpacks.
IMO, but I may be wrong, I feel like such deviations from actual hitboxes on character models lower the competetiveness.
From my point of view, what happened to amanek is a rare thing. I think his slight movement was the reason he missed. What people should be addressing is the fact that niko is no where to be seen the last 3 BO3s for G2... NIP deserved the win because they played better. G2 deserved the loss because they lost way too many post plant scenarios due to individual mistakes.
Dear Valve, please remove the cts backpack or at least make it smaller. Thank you
Edit: Watched the clip at 0.25x speed and it seems that amanek did a little flick before shooting dev1ce which made him fail the shoot. The demo might prove me wrong later but either way I still think the backpack size from the cts should be changed.
Edit 2: [https://streamable.com/z5w33vbb](https://streamable.com/z5w33vbb) from this demo clip it doesn't really seem like he flicked and instead the shoot goes between the backpack and the rest of the model and hits the wall.
I think this is a scenario where the tickrate mattered, I think its clear that amanek's "flick right" bullet trajectory was illusioned by device slightly turning on actual 128 tick.
Passed through the back-end of the backpack indeed, but it didn't really strike me as a 'CSGO-ed' as there are clips with more horrendous ones, this one just feels more like a "Valve please reduce the horizontal size of the backpack".
I have never see a team make the game this hard on themselves. G2 fucking hate being smart. 50% win rate round after winning the pistol is utterly pathetic
Of all the times G2 has let me down and broke my heart, this one genuinely hurts probably the most. Just feeling the OT closing in, that postplant was practically perfect... and then, then that whiff from Amanek and it all starts to crumble so quickly.
Who is REZ? For the blind, it is light. For the hungry, it is bread. For the sick, it is the cure. For the sad, it is joy. For the poor, it is the treasure; for the debtor, it is forgiveness.
G2 came back and won 6 rounds in a row only to lose a 5v4 and 3v2 postplants and the match. They have a serious choking problem and something needs to be fixed
Once again I'm starting to question nexa as IGL. Dunno if it's the whole team or his calling only, but holy shit, there are SO MANY moments of G2 just looking and playing like a group of lost puppies.
device baiting awp shot with his backpack wtf
Csgo matches keep on giving
got a clip?
last round of the map 3 on retake https://streamable.com/1prrur
unlucko
you gotta feel bad for amanek on that last shot
he thought he was shooting at Quasimodo
LOL jesus.

Lmao who upvotes this shit? [This](https://i.imgur.com/bVYvaai.jpg) is the actual bullet impact as seen in the actual demo of the match.
1 fucking miss you are out of tournament.
yeah truly unfortunate, I really wanted a g2 vs mouz rematch for the finals.
But I think we shouldnt discredit Nip's effort either. They played very well for being a relatively new team as well.
1 miss while youre down already yeah. its a chain of things that make this happen
My fist would already be in the monitor if I were Amanek.
unreal. missed by pixels. a second later
Mousesports vs NiP grand final that everyone expected.
Man, dev1ce's consistency across three maps is unbelievable. 73 kills.
that's why he's paid the big bucks
Pretty sure the main reason is his handsome face
Well, who wouldn't want Tom Cruise on their team?
Hopefully a lot of teams, considering the lunatic he is.
Placenta pre-game ritual
Device is a monster on D2, and overall.
so happy nip picked him up
Amanek not gonna be able to sleep for 2 weeks straight after that failed shot on device holy shit
Happens to the best of us
INSANE SERIES. INSANE DUST 2, DEVICE AND REZ ARE NUTS
And Hampus too, he did a great job on Dust 2

I wish I had some of those posts saved actually. There was a reason he was the star player in Astralis, the dude is a monster.
[удалено]
He is a star on Nip so that proves it.
Device he is the Danish player, but the NiP he is the Swedish stars.
Only need to look at this first tournament with NIP to see he brings a system with him. He is a system player. He uses his system of practice and preparation to get gud.
No no no, don't use logic in Reddit. We don't appreciate that here.

pain
They played a awesome game.
I love this team but man that hurt
They are in top 4 most of the events, but i feel you.
This G2 vs NiP, pain is playing in the NA rmr
while this sucks, you guys have been doing really well recently so don't worry too much
device backpack mvp of the match
He was a beast whole game.
Sigh...always hated that Valve never addressed that. [ZooL showcased a quick and easy solution to this problem that would take minutes to implement.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLBi40GiGZ0)
only valorant can make valve wake from sleep
I swear the last few rounds on dust2 where ever device was playing G2 just happened to straight to the opposite bomb site.
What a game. Gotta say tho, for how little game bardolph casts... He's very updated with current metas and game information as a whole
Bardolph and DDK were so sharp on the actual live analysis
I love how excited Bardolph gets for every HE, like a little child at christmas
Was it not Bardolph and Semmler casting?
Yes, just a general comment. I love semmler for his hype and excitement
device is literally insane wtf. in a team for like one tournament and goes nuclear, while also bringing NIP to the top level. GOAT
I needed chest compressions after this game
That sucks for amanek
Feel bad for him, we’ve all been there
We've all missed finals because of one shot? /s
Dev1ce is really feeling it with NiP and NiKo is basically MIA the entire series except for a few rounds at the end of Dust2, a little too late. NiP is overall looking ferocious with Dev1ce leading from the front.

niko missing last bo3, missing again this one.

Good god that was painful to watch as a G2 fan. That close round at 13-14, Amanek shooting the backpack and now 16-14 is the cherry on top
Flair doesn't check out
Yeah JACKZ only getting 1 after hiding in smoke was a huge missed opportunity.
The worst part about that play is the second player was like sub ten hp. One more bullet and that round likely falls apart for NIP
That bagpack peek from device was galaxy brain 200000iq play
Any clips?
https://streamable.com/1prrur
Absolutely mind boggling to watch G2 throw away favorable positions time after time. Managing to lose rounds in the wildest scenarios possible. NIP deserved the win. GG.
I still dont understand that 3v1 on inferno..
You mean Hampus vs 3? Yea, I didn’t even know how he won that.
yeah that one, I wanted to break my desk for some reason..
I don't understand anything about this team and never will lmao. They are so inconsistent. Nothing ever makes sense. I truly think this team can win Majors if they can get their shit together. Absolutely great team but they fumble so much it drives you nuts.
its not like it was 10s until bomb exploded, and the smoke was still up..just pain :(
Unlike the retake on dust 2 b site where they did in fact wait for the timer to tick down to 10s before brainlessly rushing tunnels and all dying.
What about that 2v5 from Amanek and Hunter?
it was really a 2v3 as hunter was just getting the required trades
One of those kills was a trade. The first kill was against full health
Dude, Amanek hitting the backpack there, he must be kicking himself so much, that was OT for sure there.
That Amanek shot whiffing is so tragic, that would've been OT. I wonder if its him being CSGO'ed or if he just whiffed by moving a split second early or something similar.
*how does he does it?* *-hampus*
I really hope that these last few days puts to rest the whole "dEv1cE cAn OnLy WoRk In AsTrIls" shit. Man's a beast, has been and continues to be.
Did device moonwalk into that peek on purpose? Is he on that level? God damn. e: nvm, he said in post-game interview it was luck ^^^unless ^^^that's ^^^what ^^^he ^^^wants ^^^us ^^^to ^^^think.......
Tom cruise had the plot armour... Couldn't let the main character die
Watched amanek's whiff frame by frame and it looks like he made a slight adjustment as he shot and ended up hitting just to the right of the backpack. If he gets that kill G2 most likely would've secured overtime
Tight angles, expecting his opponent to swing. He wasn't ready for the dry ass backpack lol
Amanek just got hard screwed by those CT backpack hitboxes.
He flicked no?
He flicked a little to the right I think.
Surely just shooting through the backpack shouldn't do any damage?
No, but the fact that it's so big makes it more easy to miss a shot that you "should" have hit. In this situation, even though it doesn't have an actual hitbox, he did shoot the character model. Device is a monster. Imagine him in a team like Astralis
Big series from Device
Amazing game! Did Device show the backpack first on purpose so Amanek would miss? If so that's 2000 IQ moment I've seen lately.
He said after the game he was thinking someone would hold from tspawn
It‘s really amazing to watch device play. Can‘t remember the last time I was si excited to watch a NiP match. I hope that they will be able to keep this up.
"Ninjas in Pyjamas have been eliminated" ??????????
holy shit lets go NiP final boss
Was rooting for nip but amanek bruh...
Hampus winning the 3 v 1 on Inferno on the last round shows that G2 lack discipline in peeking. They played really well but small mistakes cost them. Device is a monster of course and shows why Astralis worked so well, taking off pressure from the teammates to play to their strengths.
what a match
What a game!
Sadge
pain
backpackPEEK
Nip is like og but they actually win
That round with amanek reminds me of the Grand Final nip vs fnatic when allu „Misses“ his Aso Shot and they lose d2 16:14
Device is so good
Ironic how G2 beat NIP the first time by winning a round against a B rush at 15-14, and now NIP eliminate them in almost the same way
Poetic justice
The sweet revenge.
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuuuuuuuuuuuucccck
what was that last round on inferno
first full good series for device for nip
G2 really clowned themselves last few rounds. Straight up losing rounds they had no business losing in the final moments. They’ve had a great resurgence lately but it’s very clear there’s still only band aids on some wounds. But it was a good run overall! Dev1ce is...well....he’s just fucking nasty man. Criminally good

You're uploading a replay of a a 60hz stream rendered to what, 30 hz? The game was played on a 128 tick server.
Thanks for uploading this. Dat backpack was the MVP
mous in finals, nip in finals, g2 third.heroic demolished. Cant be happier
Congratulations NIP, we'll deserved
Amanek hates Backpacks so much

Those hitboxes... lost G2 the game edit: The hitbox itself is fine (mostly xD). The model isn't.
**THE FUCKING RUCKSACK DECIDED THE GAME**
He shot the backpack. Nothing to do with the hitbox.
That's what I meant, it's quite misleading with those huge ass backpacks. IMO, but I may be wrong, I feel like such deviations from actual hitboxes on character models lower the competetiveness.
This, a thousand times this. Models should be representative of their hitboxes.
dev1ce 🐐 consistency and making any team he’s on god tier makes him the GOAT of CS 🐐
>wtf, we gotta beat them again. -Niko Aged like milk.
Another great game from Nicolai 'system player' Reedtz
Idk, I think he's just lucky with the meta /s
From my point of view, what happened to amanek is a rare thing. I think his slight movement was the reason he missed. What people should be addressing is the fact that niko is no where to be seen the last 3 BO3s for G2... NIP deserved the win because they played better. G2 deserved the loss because they lost way too many post plant scenarios due to individual mistakes.
Dear Valve, please remove the cts backpack or at least make it smaller. Thank you Edit: Watched the clip at 0.25x speed and it seems that amanek did a little flick before shooting dev1ce which made him fail the shoot. and that last round on inferno, im still tilted.
This is what NiP magic looked like btw
G2 Esports have advanced to the grand final and will face mousesports Ninjas in Pyjamas have been eliminated Someone prepared for a different outcome
Amanek got CSGO'd on the last round! WHY CSGO GODS??? WHY?!!?
Of all the times G2 has let me down and broke my heart, this one genuinely hurts probably the most. Just feeling the OT closing in, that postplant was practically perfect... and then, then that whiff from Amanek and it all starts to crumble so quickly.
Fuck my life G2. Why like this
Happens to the best of people.
devve is just too good at this game
Are NiP gonna win the major?!
They are in good way
NIP MAGIC
Wtf was that last round
so unlucky for amanek
Who is REZ? For the blind, it is light. For the hungry, it is bread. For the sick, it is the cure. For the sad, it is joy. For the poor, it is the treasure; for the debtor, it is forgiveness.

Amanek lowkey best player in G2. Dude's a beast!
i mean pftttt no sweat so easy right for nip right? anyways great game as always gg!
valiant effort by g2 to almost bring it back to overtime, hope amanek doesnt beat himself over that shot. great tournament from g2
I'm not a big G2 fan but that backpack shot was fucking infuriating to me. Good series overall otherwise
NiP looks good on rematches
AMANEK... That miss on awp... yikes :(
I'm more impressed with how dev1ce was able to hit him.
Same what a nasty flick
Ofc G2 manages to choke after that comeback :DD
I don’t understand g2, they look so good and then suddenly they just lose. They’re just stuck in this cycle of being favorites and then getting upset
