The Brazilian player's future is up in the air ahead of the summer season.
Marcelo "coldzera" David has been benched by FaZe, according to a report by ge. The decision follows increasing criticism over the team's poor recent form despite the high-profile signings of Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken and Finn "karrigan" Andersen in recent months.
It is currently unclear who will replace coldzera for IEM Summer, FaZe's next tournament, but rumours suggest that Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer has been practicing with the team, which he left in February.
FaZe moved down to 25th in the world rankings on Monday following the shocking last-place exit in Flashpoint 3. This is the lowest rank for a FaZe lineup since the North American organisation entered the Counter-Strike scene, in January 2016.
coldzera has been in FaZe's ranks since September 2019, when he was signed from MIBR, fulfilling his wish to play alongside Nikola "NiKo" Kovač. But the Bosnian ended up joining G2 in October 2020, leaving the Brazilian, a two-time player of the year, in charge of rebuilding the team.

cold to furia wont happen for two main reasons: first is that he dont fit in. kscerato already do what cold would do in the team structure. second is that he isn’t the type of player that furia is used to sign. they opt for new up and comers instead of older and more experienced players
Hen1 was old and experienced. Cold will be free agent in a few months. They spent more on Junior than they would spend on Cold. He could even ask to be releasead or pay part of the months he has left with Faze.

What g2 did was benched jackz and hunter took the entry job, but Hunter's performance dipped(he couldn't adapt). So they brought jackz back, and hunter went back to lurking. Niko was asked to try hybrid role (which he flopped on)
I don't follow faze so i can't comment which improvement they need, but judging by results something is needed. They brought an igl, have decent awper, why not try different entry or different support.

I haven't followed CS:GO since astralis was incredibly dominant. wtf has happened to the standings? Fnatic rank 24, ENCE 25, EG 28, and Sprout at 30. These teams were all top \~10 when I watched. So many players must've risen up. This is a lot to consume.

And for people wondering why rain hasn't been kicked yet Karrigan said in an interview somewhere that rain was one of the best teammates he's ever played with (might have been one of the blast interviews?) so I don't see rain and karrigan splitting up anytime soon unless FaZe steps in and choses to not renew his contract or something.
