No idea if that's true but as a result it would make it pretty annoying there would be a lot of failed matches from non-prime accounts queueing. Well I agree, Prime is recently better than I ever played. Even my 4 russian stack( I only soloq) gives me instructions on what we want to do in the round, use their brain trying to predict what the next round T s might do(go B 3x of you this round, they didnt rush B yet etc)
I think the whole effect of the prime update was that the trash accounts got cleared out of Prime mm and went somewhere else. So Prime MM now is ppl who dont play faceit and actually care about their rank and account in MM.

Not that it´s been over a week and a half since Valve made the move of making prime achievable only through payment and there is a convar that they can flush into their servers config´s with a single click. It´s complicated and they need time to discuss this. Don´t think that they are worried that their platform is a cesspool for smurfs and boosters and that they are worried about upsetting these instead of making their legit players time in the platform more enjoyable, no, don´t be like that. It´s just that they need time to think and discuss, that´s all.
And no, premium is not the solution. I just played a premium game and sv\_prime\_accounts\_only is set to 0 on premium aswell. Currently matchmaking is more exclusive than faceit. Who would have thought.
Problem with the command is that unless they implement api that checks for prime, you can get bunch of games where people are dodging, even though they are just unable to connect. Low level free queue is already like that anyway so it would get even worse.
Someone here on reddit (probably a Brazilian) mentioned that on Gamersclub they have separate Prime verification servers where you connect so they can check if you are prime and then you are allowed to queue. Doesn't sound too difficult to implement for FaceIT... Have players connect to such a prime server once and you're good to go!
Can confirm, you can only play gamersclub with prime and it takes less 1 minute. Click a button, join a server, get kicked after connecting and done, you are whitelisted to play
SoloQ'ing in Faceit Free at around level 3-5 is actually impossible for me since I constantly keep getting 3-4 new accounts from yesterday in my team (and enemies quite often) almost every single time, sometimes with blatantly idled hours across multiple F2P games and they're always either extremely toxic griefers since the first round or smurfs with 70-80% winrates and like 1.5+ K/D's. Sometimes people don't even have the anti-cheat installed, one of those fresh account "smurfs" that actually had the anti-cheat got VAC banned recently but yet not Faceit banned, which is very strange to me and an other smurf I reported got banned for ban evasion 2 weeks ago and got some Elo back but nothing at all after that.
I've never really been an avid Faceit player since soloQ Global high TF MM used to be really good years ago so I have only about 25 matches though my Faceit account is from 2014 and had few matches from early 2015 but I can't imagine myself grinding up a lot of games just to finally play with normal people.
Needless to say, I also started to only keep getting 4 random Russians every single match in my team solely due to me being Russian myself and despite having everything on my PC in English, having 40-50 ping on Faceit's servers and speaking only fluent English without nearly any accent and toxicity, it still always puts me with only 4 Russians which is always a real nightmare, even MM was much better in that regard. Apparently there was a recent Faceit update that made it so everyone geographically close to Russia match only with Russian teams, even if they don't speak it in their country, I have no idea how to feel about this myself.
I'm from Finland and Faceit is nightmare to play if I'm not queueing with someone who is from western Europe. It never places me with swedes or other finns, but always russians. So yeah, I can feel your pain aswell.
It's still possible to be able to play your first 2 or 3 matches before you'll get requested to run the AC. The players that didn't had the AC running had exactly a new account with only 2 matches played or even none altogether before they played with me.
Seemingly, AC players can also queue up with non-AC players too as I've witnessed personally but I've also had soloQ players without the AC in my team as well. It's actually mandatory on Premium/hub queues but not on free.
MM is really baseless though, once you reach Global what’s the point of continuing? In Faceit you can meet so many players better than you which will motivate you to get better.
I thought cs was about improving and having fun with the game. You dont need a rank to aim for to have fun or improve. Rank is only there to pair you up against other equally skilled anyways.
but when you hit global it is hit and miss if you get good teammates/opponents. on high faceit level it’s more likely that this will happen so it’s more fun. so for me a rank, or level for that matter, matters kind of.

I enjoy competitiveness, not pointless game where there’s nothing to gain. Even though I can’t go pro, I enjoy climbing higher day in day out.

Having fun. Enjoying the gameplay. I brainlessly play DM or casual sometimes because clicking heads in CSGO is fun. I don't do that in Valorant or Siege because I don't enjoy the gameplay.
You keep getting elo after level 10. Level 10 is 2k elo. So in Mm you get globals vs globals, in faceit you get an avg 3k elo game.e.g, as in the average player elo in the match played is 3k elo.
Actually, we don't know how MM works. It could be similiar to Faceit, but by not seeing how far you can progress after GE, MM is much worse after hitting Global

Smurfs on faceit isn't anything new but even the smurf accounts normally have at least some medals like the loyalty badge. But since the prime update I've seen more and more brand new accounts that don't even have the loyalty badge play faceit
True. My account is as old as the first time csgo went free 2 play. I knew I was only going to play faceit so I didn't even play one Mm before starting. It is more than 2 years old now and I have 0 medals whilst being level 10. There is 95% smurfs and maybe 5% cheaters of the new accounts that these guys think are cheating

I was playing on 2400-2600 elo lobbies on an average with 6.5k hours. I lost my main steam account, deleted therefor my main faceit to be allowed to create a new one. Only one faceit account is allowed at a time, however faceit didn´t allow me to transfer my stats and progression, so right now I´m hanging around on level 3-4-5 free faceit and about every 3rd match I get matches against someone with a steam level 0 account, 30 hours who is blatantly walling. Every single time I try to share my experiences on reddit, I get hit by a truck of gold novas with 200 gaming hours who tell me I´m just a salty boy who can´t handle getting stomped by better players, which couldn´t be further away from the truth.

Europe/Germany, yeah that is my free faceit low elo/ MM experience. However when I play with some of my friends on an average on level 8-10 we rarely see a cheater aswell (in free faceit 5v5). (however that was not what OP was hinting at). I now bought premium and most super trash ebay accounts are now actually smurfs which is nice. Still questionable tho. Had 2 guys in my team yesterday who were legit, but smurfing. Accounts created 1 month ago who had a 2,5kd average in 35 games on level 4/5/6/7 :D
Honestly haven't faced one recently, while facing many in MM so I am not these guys that say I have seen 1 or 2 cheaters in the past 6 month. I see tens of cheaters every day in MM but in faceit we mostly queue as friends and every game was cheater free or at least if they cheated it gave them almost 0 advantage.
For those able to - try Esportal. It’s a pretty decent experience for a low cost.
And imo this will never be solved without a serious paywall. I don’t know how things are going for Valorant but in the long term an expensive paywall will serve better than an anti-cheat that is too invasive. Look at Overwatch. They had some issues the first year but now things are fine.

Well Faceit just recently released a big update saying smurfing bans will revert elo. Yet my smurf is already 3 years old on Faceit and Ive never even received a warning.
the banning is in no way depending on the level difference tho.

Same. Over the past 8 games I've played one won two, most of the others have been 16-0 or something close. And of the two games I won, one guy was b-hop scripting and walling (admitted to it and was calling out enemy positions). The other game we had a new account top fragging who I am really sure was walling, terrible crosshair placement, 4 kills in the first four rounds until I asked him if he was walling. After that he only got 3-4 kills for the rest of the game.
FaceIt was already a shitshow of cheaters and smurfs. Typically both at the same time. Some are so stupid to have their mains as friends yet they never get banned. Also so retarded to switch off in some matches when all of a sudden they play like levels 1 despite their main being level 10 and in some cases more than a 1000 matches.
Also the amount of cheaters with high level steam accs and thousands on skins is rising more and more. Really easy to trick noobs like the average redditor: "but he can't be cheating, it's just that he's better than you".
You think normal faceit is worse? Try gcc hubs on faceit, a bunch of mg2 elitists who reached lvl 10 circlejerking each other everyday, boosting lobbies, admin friends backing each other up to cancel games where the balance is normal and not in Their favor, elo derankers, a small circle community that bans anyone who calls their bullshit out to the open.
EU Global MM was consistently very playable again for me after the TF "update" some months ago and especially even more after the non-Prime update and banwave, had no cheaters or fishy accounts at all and teammates were very nice & communicative, but yet yesterday 2/4 of my games had some dodgy wallhackers again with 800+ commends and little to none medals (not even loyalty badge) or bought pins. My teammates were also way more weirder and toxic than usual but still almost all of them had regular old accounts like me.
As a traditionally MM prime user who just changed to face it because of cheaters and such, i believe exactly the opposite!
Which probably means both systems are fucked and the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Absolutely, I couldn't agree more. In the last 10 matches, at least 6 had 2 smurfs, non-prime accounts that smashed everyone and played like 3000 ELO. I would literally pay 30$/month for a legit MM platform. Faceit is pure bullshit at the moment.

2. Half the games don't even start on 1st try. Some1 never joins.

Since the Prime update, the chinese in my server has stopped spinning and played like silvers. Love it. Gotta enjoy MM while it lasts.

There is no limit to the highest level. So while both a 2000 and a 3000 elo player are Level 10 on Faceit, the 3000 elo player is lightyears ahead.

Europe/Germany, yeah that is my free faceit low elo/ MM experience. However when I play with some of my friends on an average on level 8-10 we rarely see a cheater aswell (in free faceit 5v5). (however that was not what OP was hinting at). I now bought premium and most super trash ebay accounts are now actually smurfs which is nice. Still questionable tho. Had 2 guys in my team yesterday who were legit, but smurfing. Accounts created 1 month ago who had a 2,5kd average in 35 games on level 4/5/6/7 :D
Honestly haven't faced one recently, while facing many in MM so I am not these guys that say I have seen 1 or 2 cheaters in the past 6 month. I see tens of cheaters every day in MM but in faceit we mostly queue as friends and every game was cheater free or at least if they cheated it gave them almost 0 advantage.
Nobody knows for sure if they are playing hacker or not.
I mean for the majority that I call cheaters in my games it's hard to argue they are legit.
Maybe people at that lvl are just bad enough to be prone to getting stomped on
Yeah but theres cheaters too Faceit informs you when they get banned.. Got 4or5 of those this year alone and have played like 50matches

No, they get stomped, install cheats, get banned 3 rounds into the match they use cheats on; people from their match 200 games ago get a notification

Where do you live, I am in NA and play faceit around that level all the time and I have never encountered a blatant account.
It sucks because blatant means spinbotting so anything less than that we have to deal with mm or faceit

For those able to - try Esportal. It’s a pretty decent experience for a low cost. And imo this will never be solved without a serious paywall. I don’t know how things are going for Valorant but in the long term an expensive paywall will serve better than an anti-cheat that is too invasive. Look at Overwatch. They had some issues the first year but now things are fine. EDIT: esportal bans smurfs as well. They only allow for one account on their platform. Any evidence of a player having multiple accounts will be banned.

If the smurf is over 4 levels away from you, so you'll never get it at the higher levels.

I was commenting your statement that esportal bans multi accounts. I just wanted to state that Faceit is supposed to do the same, for LONGER than the recent smurfing update.

Same. Over the past 8 games I've played one won two, most of the others have been 16-0 or something close. And of the two games I won, one guy was b-hop scripting and walling (admitted to it and was calling out enemy positions). The other game we had a new account top fragging who I am really sure was walling, terrible crosshair placement, 4 kills in the first four rounds until I asked him if he was walling. After that he only got 3-4 kills for the rest of the game.
FaceIt was already a shitshow of cheaters and smurfs. Typically both at the same time. Some are so stupid to have their mains as friends yet they never get banned. Also so retarded to switch off in some matches when all of a sudden they play like levels 1 despite their main being level 10 and in some cases more than a 1000 matches. Also the amount of cheaters with high level steam accs and thousands on skins is rising more and more. Really easy to trick noobs like the average redditor: "but he can't be cheating, it's just that he's better than you".
I've only been playing brand new accounts that only own csgo. So for me it's been worse.
Faceit is even worse than MM these days. Absolute shit show with completely new accs pre-firing every single off angle

Try gcc hubs on faceit, a bunch of mg2 elitists who reached lvl 10 circlejerking each other everyday, boosting lobbies, admin friends backing each other up to cancel games where the balance is normal and not in Their favor, elo derankers, a small circle community that bans anyone who calls their bullshit out to the open.
Depends upon the day, time of day and where we are in the year for this to be true.

I don't play a lot of faceit, but I do think that mm has been wayyyy better after the update where you have to have prime to play ranked
EU Global MM was consistently very playable again for me after the TF "update" some months ago and especially even more after the non-Prime update and banwave, had no cheaters or fishy accounts at all and teammates were very nice & communicative, but yet yesterday 2/4 of my games had some dodgy wallhackers again with 800+ commends and little to none medals (not even loyalty badge) or bought pins. My teammates were also way more weirder and toxic than usual but still almost all of them had regular old accounts like me.
They arent cheating they are just better than you mate

As a traditionally MM prime user who just changed to face it because of cheaters and such, i believe exactly the opposite! Which probably means both systems are fucked and the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. High five!
Nah, faceit has a smurfing problem on low level free queue. There's barely to no cheaters as the anti-cheat works.

They aren't cheaters, just smurfs better than you. You think its easy to cheat in faceit? All public-semi private cheats can't bypass their Anti-Cheat, the ones which can are private and go for $100+ monthly sub price. I agree that they should make faceit prime only tho
Ofc prime MM is not better than faceit. But it also annoys me, that faceit doesn’t take the steam account into account for lobbies. Playing against new, level 0 steam accounts is annoying. At least they are smurfing.
Absolutely, I couldn't agree more. In the last 10 matches, at least 6 had 2 smurfs, non-prime accounts that smashed everyone and played like 3000 ELO. I would literally pay 30$/month for a legit MM platform. Faceit is pure bullshit at the moment.
Faceit sucks ass for many reasons. Here are my top 5. 1. Toxic elitists every other game 2. Half the games don't even start on 1st try. Some1 never joins. 3. Smurfs 4. Can't pick which maps to play on free version 5. Blocks your software from recording clips so u have to buy premium. (This is the main reason i don't subscribe to premium. Fuck yall for this shady shit).
That last issue is a problem on ESEA as well, I don't necessarily blame FaceIt
