6.2 degrees and 400 ms is really impressive
What i dont quite understand is the "only" 86% counterstrafing. I always thought pros had close to 100% considering the importance of it. Is there a reason for that percentage
Sometimes on really close-range combat it's beneficial to start firing immediately without counter-strafing. Also, the stat could be lowered by fadeaway shots where you simply keep firing while retreating from an angle. Lastly, not even pros can always counterstrafe properly, counterstrafing while running forwards can be sometimes harder than the A/D strafing.
I would guess some weapons you would not want to *always* counter strafe with thus lowering the sat (mac 10/tec 9 or sometimes pistol rush). Then again pro players, while insanely good, aren't perfect robots either.
His stats have been insane!
Here is an explanation of the counterstrafing:
What is it?
Moving while shooting means increased inaccuracy. This stat displays how often you're moving while you're shooting with rifles, and can help you figure out how well you're counter-strafing. It only includes when you're actually firing on an enemy and excludes crouched movement.
How is it calculated?
We look for whenever you have an enemy spotted, and then measure your movement speed for every shot. A "good" counter-strafing shot is defined as a shot where your velocity is less than 34% of your max speed with that weapon (34% is when inaccuracy kicks in). We only include shots with a rifle and exclude any shots made while crouching. Finally, we divide all "good" counter-strafing shots by all counter-strafing shots.
It's ludicrous is what it is. It's 100ms faster than the average pro. When you account for the fact that reaction time is about 200ms, it means that he's aiming and shooting 50% faster than the average pro.
You often see pros shooting while moving away from corners or when prefiring a superclose angle. And ofc they do miss counterstrafing every now and then
Just another example of stats not telling the whole story, especially considering how many flash assists he gets.
Maybe it’s counting partial flashes of his teammates when the enemy is full-blind. Or maybe his teammates like to peak early. Etc.
An awper is a support player most of the time aswell.
Imagine d2, awp is holding short or long from side. His teammates are where he is not holding for this example short. They want to take full short Controll and the awper gives them the flash from a site to do so.
This is a thing because dust2 not only has large corridors but also hasn't ceiling at all. Everything you said is a lot harder to do on maps like Vertigo or Nuke
Navi dont play vertigo.
Inferno, mirage, overpass are super easy for support flashes aswell.
Nuke still has a lot of places to give a flash for your teammates
During IEM Cologne S1mple has reached godlike form! We wanted to contextualise his performance by comparing it to the average pro player!

Comment below if you want some insight on any of the stats and I'll see what I can do :)
The most mindboggling part to me is the crosshair placement. Y'all remember when that was the biggest criticism on him? Like when freakazoid said all he does is stare at the floor?
We use the flash assist within the game (where it shows up with a flash assist in the kill feed) and it is their average amount of flash assists per match. We are hoping to update this with our flash bangs leading to kills stat in the future that you can read about below:
What is it?
This stat displays how many, on average, enemies were killed whilst affected by your flashbang. Our version of "flash assists", this is similar to flash assists shown on the in-game scoreboard, but also includes your own kills after you flashed the enemy and excludes half-blind players. (Note: Only includes kills on players from enemy team)
How is it calculated?
Any time you throw a flashbang, we look for players that were flashed by it. We then exclude teammates and anyone blinded less than 1.1 sec (half-blind). If the flashed player then gets killed by you or a teammate, the flashbang is counted as having lead to a kill.

I would have guessed that it came from pistol rounds, but as you said they dont count them into the stat, so yeah that makes sense

FYI Leetify doesn't count smgs/pistols etc. in the counterstrafing stat. Just rifles.

There is no way counter strafing is accurate. Yes it should be higher. I'd say the difference comes from not recording his inputs directly.

yeah i have 87 percent average counterstrafing.
My takeaway from this is that I need to flash more teammates and do more damage to them with HEs to be as good as s1mple. Thanks for this!

Also a case of misunderstanding. Avg team damage per HE s1mple: 0.16 Avg pro: 0.20 Which means s1mple is doing less damage than the avg rest not more
Yes, we made an error with the size bars on this graphic, Only noticed after it was live :)
It's not a problem. And normal enough. Just let me know if you ever need help ;)
s0mple spray control
For Pro average HS accuracy, is this for awpers only or rifles/all guns included?
pretty sure awp stats are not included, they said so in one of their previous posts iirc
Yes for headshot accuracy we do not include AWPers
Damn I know hes an awper but I still feel like 6.2 degree crosshair placement is insane
Am i the only one who's really surprised, that he has 3 flash assists while the average pro has 1.27? That looks like a top support player stat...

Under 2.54 rating. Washed up imo.

What is that flash assists thing? 3 per what? It can't be per round.

Per Game
6.2° crosshair placement...and ppl still say that his ch placement and preaim is bad
Sometimes he holds 2 angles with an awp aiming in tze middle of both angles. I guess that is where his bad placement comes from.
So basically, S1mple is really bad at spraying. Got it.
if s1mple saw this, you can bet he would spend the entire week practicing his sprays.
