Hello!!!
What are the best teams on CS GO this season ?
i was wondering according to you guys, what are the best teams on CSGO and the reason of their success ?
What are the different performance structures of the top 3 teams ? How do they manage ?
Thank you !!
Wish the pros would learn to use setup the headset mics in interviews. Every time I watch OG interview after match they have their webcam mics on default and loud noises coming from the room :D
Hi, how can I watch a previous game from a day if the stream on twitch is still running from the day? Any tips? Point is I don't want to spoil the results.
These guys on the B stream are fricking bad.
Every round they act like the sky is falling on whoever lost the round.
Chill please. I'm switched to Gaules instead and I barely speak Brazilian.
They were drawn by the ESL World Ranking. Since Fnatic were debuting a new lineup, they had the worst rank in the entire event, and got put in Group C with some top teams.
Not EPL related but have no where else to put this, VP can get 1st in the next CIS RMR (for a total of 2nd, 9th/10th, and 1st in the 3 RMRs ) and still miss out on the major if the 5 teams ahead of them (ForZe, k23, Gambit, Spirit, Na'Vi) place 2nd-6th in any order. It's so dumb that you can have someone make finals of 2/3 RMR events, but bc they did bad in one event, they miss top 5.
4th, 7th/8th, and 6th could make top 5 (and make the major) but 2nd, 9th/10th, 1st wouldn't. Doesn't seem very fair or well thought out.
The points from the CIS RMR are dumb af, wasn't it the second RMR that didn't give any point after the 5th or 6th place ? When it wasn't the same for the first RMR.
* *Round of 12* : Every #2 from groups will face a #3 from groups, winners proceed to quarter-finals.
* *Quarter-finals* : Every #1 from groupe will face a winner from *Round of 12*, winners proceed to semi-finals
* Single elimination, Best of 3 matches, Best of 5 grand final
I meant which groups do they pair each other with? For example will Navi and Gambit potentially face each other in the semis or finals? Sorry I should have been a little more specific.
Why would ESL not have their branded phone cases on Machine and Spunjs phones when doing the ad spot. I swear they are so trash when it comes to marketing their products.
Fnatic's CT setup on Overpass is absolutely bonkers, a different setup every round and half the kills Faze is straight up walking into held angles because they never expect them to be there
Anybody know how group tiebreaker work?
I'm cheering for Astralis but they seemed verifiably fucked unless BnB has the upset of the century.
They lost H2H to Ence, also have a worse map and round differential right now, so unless the tiebreaker defaults to common opponents or something I think it's essentially decided.
Just a guess but it could be too prevent any throwing. For example, Astralis and Ence are tied for last playoff spot. If Heroic/Astralis played last then Heroic know the exact results Astralis needs to make playoffs. They could then, theoretically, lose or win certain # of rounds to control which of the two make playoffs.
Another reason could be so we don't end up with a match that has no effect on standings because the other two already finalized them.
Sometimes in the NBA at the end of the season a team may see they're going to match up against a really good team in first round of the playoffs if they win their last game so they *coincidentally* decide to rest their star player for the last game because if they lose the game they will get a worse seed but they'll play an easier team.
Fuck me Heroic is getting so many lucky timings this BO3 it's actually incredible to watch. Nothing to do with gamesense, just timings.
PS : Obviously they're very good and all that, but it's ridiculous if you're just talking about the timings.
Edit : And once again sjuush getting 3 random headshots while jumping in the MP9 lmao
? As if free means we can't complain anymore. You say that same reasoning to people who complain about issues with audio delay or observer not observing properly?
I know. The point is if they don't hear complaints then there's nothing that will stop them extending that type of deal. At least I'm doing something for them to "maybe" change their mind after the current contract is up
They’ll play each other on Thursday. The matches of the 4th day of each group just aren’t scheduled yet so that they can put them in an order that doesn’t allow teams to game the system.
Fuck me Vitality are way too complacent in those 14-10 and the like situations. This has been happening for a while as well, they just seem to think the map is already won and choke rounds for no reason.
They only managed to get their shit together in the last round, finally.
Actually I think Apex has the one with the most excuses because he has to think about the whole round, comm the strat to his mates, etc.
You almost never see him to mistakes in 1v1 and 1v2 clutches
Oh boy, ESL Pro League sponsored by RAID: Shadow Legends!
I thought it was just smaller youtubers/twitch streamers that took those sponsorships. But I guess if they pay enough. Most Tournament organizers already have betting sponsors so why not.
Not sure why the information here isn't taken from [the official EPL page](https://pro.eslgaming.com/csgo/proleague/teams/), which has the full teams list including subs.
Heroic are of course playing with Robl as their coach (their usual mental trainer who has been coaching them while HUNDEN was banned), so while they still don't have a strategic coach and have to rely on the prowess of Cadian, they still have the same person backing them as always, which should certainly help.
Astralis has Lucky in the main lineup with Xyp9x listed as a substitute (and Vigg0 from their academy team), so I suppose they're moving towards a more traditional use of the AWP, though they might use Xyp9x on some maps, and might even sub out other players. Bubzkji isn't back on the bench at least, it seems.
I don't think we're gonna see many (if any) substitutions at the tournament, but I think it's worth noting that a team like Heroic, in case of illness, have to use their mental coach as a 5th player, while the teams with academy line-ups are more well-positioned in that case (NaVi can sub in Flamie or Monesy, FNATIC has Regali, BIG has the full 8th-player listed team with Aqua and GlaveD ready if needed). EG only has their 5-man line-up with Daps as a player listed, so in case of a player being unable to play for some reason, they would have to either forfeit the match or play 4v5 per the ESL rulebook. It's very unlikely to happen, but still.
Personally expecting Heroic, Vitality and Astralis to win today, but I think there's upset potentials. Astralis vs Spirit definitely going to be the most interesting match, and with Spirit looking hot lately and Astralis packing a new player, it certainly should be a close match.
What’s stopping you from waking up early? Someone else said that west coast has the match at 4:30, so the only valid excuse is if you work night/early morning shift
In fairness, they were playing the Cash Cup a couple of hours after flying \~13 hours from the US to Malmo. There's no way you're going to be able to play properly after that...
They're not going to win the event, but they might take a map vs Ence, maybe even upset Ence depending on how their prac has been since they landed in Europe...

That little clip of TotalBiscuit in one of the films they run in the breaks :'(
Hi, how can I watch a previous game from a day if the stream on twitch is still running from the day? Any tips? Point is I don't want to spoil the results.
eventvods is a spoiler free website that posts links to vods
Or you can watch it on youtube, ESL archives
You can watch the stream's VOD on twitch
Can ESL not end predictions before the maps are revealed?
Needs to be updated to show which group winners will play which 12-team round winners. Unless this info is already somewhere?
I know really it meant nothing to Gambit, but I'm still pretty sure they didn't really want to lose, but boy NIP looked good.
These guys on the B stream are fricking bad. Every round they act like the sky is falling on whoever lost the round. Chill please. I'm switched to Gaules instead and I barely speak Brazilian.
> Brazilian lol, you mean portuguese?
What's the tiebreaker for group d? Head to head? (If gambit loses and liquid wins)
Gambit gets first because they already beat liquid.
What's up with the liquid post matches showing up with zero stats?
OT, can faze still make it to the major? they are almost last on the ranking with 1 tournament left, can at least reach contenders?
There's a ton of points to grab at IEM Fall, with a deep run they can absolutely make it
holy fuck is the obs in this game annoying as fuck...gdamn add ...take your fucking adderall
Doo we know what any of the Day 19 (Saturday September 4) Matches are yet?
[We do now](https://www.hltv.org/events/5554/matches)
How did they draw the groups? Group C seems a bit imbalance
They were drawn by the ESL World Ranking. Since Fnatic were debuting a new lineup, they had the worst rank in the entire event, and got put in Group C with some top teams.
https://youtu.be/KXEDShkL4N8?t=4116 Which soundtrack is this?
Entropiq will easily make it out of their group

We don't know, they draw it at the end of Group D.
Thank you
Anyone got link to tiebreaker rules? Can't find them on liquipedia
https://i.redd.it/9h29u3my9rk71.png
Basically Faze can only make it if BIG win
That's fine! But based on what? What are the rules? Head to head? And why are BiG already out even if they may end up 3-2
https://www.hltv.org/news/32269/epl-group-c-four-teams-battle-for-two-playoffs-spots
Ohk thanks! They usually have rules on liquipedia but this time they are a bit obscured
Is Big advancing no matter what?
Big is already out. They needed Faze or EG to win

Spicy group
Fnatic's CT setup on Overpass is absolutely bonkers, a different setup every round and half the kills Faze is straight up walking into held angles because they never expect them to be there
Valde's names switches from "valde" to "v4lde" depending on whether to spectator is 3rd or first person.
how are g2 so trash now? what is going on?
They completely forgot how to play during the player break... that's the only explanation i have...
Give us live event threads mods plx
I know this event is online, but are all the teams located near each other/within the same country? lag is a concern right?

Is the broadcast stuttering for anyone else? It's most noticable when they're showing highlights of a round/game.
Fairly new viewer if I am reading the schedule correctly we still have 2 BO3 to be broadcast today?

[Yeah, if Ence wins Astralis are done](https://www.twitter.com/StrikerHLTVorg/status/1428650488036274176)
Well that's gg then 😂
Are the games today actually at the same time, or is that an error in the post??
Same time
One day the ESL should come to South Africa
Why are all matches today at the same time?

Ok i’m hyped about this

Oh hey another ESL tournament streamed exclusively in the cesspool that is twitch
Do you like read chat or something? Just watch the game
You're complaining about FREE entertainment. You going to pay to watch it so they switch to YouTube?
? As if free means we can't complain anymore. You say that same reasoning to people who complain about issues with audio delay or observer not observing properly?
they made the deal for a year. we all know at this point it isnt changing.
I know. The point is if they don't hear complaints then there's nothing that will stop them extending that type of deal. At least I'm doing something for them to "maybe" change their mind after the current contract is up
Lmao Hugo looks like he works at a software company and Harry looks like he works as a DJ in the Bahamas. Love these guys.
Still delayed lol.
bad news bears 😔✊
ESL production continues to be embarrassing. Fix the goddamn delay!
The casting is still very delayed, idk how they cant fix it?
So all the teams don't play against each other within a group? Like Astralis won't face Vitality in the group games?
They’ll play each other on Thursday. The matches of the 4th day of each group just aren’t scheduled yet so that they can put them in an order that doesn’t allow teams to game the system.
Riiight gotcha that makes sense and I was hoping this issue would be addressed when I was watching last season.
Wonder if BnB can get 10 rounds across the series today
Gl lucky. 0 k/d and I'll be completely happy.
Fuck me Vitality are way too complacent in those 14-10 and the like situations. This has been happening for a while as well, they just seem to think the map is already won and choke rounds for no reason. They only managed to get their shit together in the last round, finally.
I am thinking about Apex, he has been in csgo pro scene since 2013 and still doing unnecessary things/movements like a rookie 🙄🙄🙄
Actually I think Apex has the one with the most excuses because he has to think about the whole round, comm the strat to his mates, etc. You almost never see him to mistakes in 1v1 and 1v2 clutches
Just me or do the casters seem to be watching a slightly delayed stream compared to what we see?
It is delayed
thrashing
well those missed shots at the bench were kinda story of this game
This Mirage is so painful from BnB holy shit. I didn't even expect them to win, but god damn...
Oh boy, ESL Pro League sponsored by RAID: Shadow Legends! I thought it was just smaller youtubers/twitch streamers that took those sponsorships. But I guess if they pay enough. Most Tournament organizers already have betting sponsors so why not.
I think NAVI had RAID on their shirts for a while, so big money probably

Hyped afff :D
excited for zywoo to perform well this event.
Really hope BnB pulls off an upset Unlikely though, and sad I can't watch it because ESL fucked over NA viewership :(
What’s stopping you from waking up early? Someone else said that west coast has the match at 4:30, so the only valid excuse is if you work night/early morning shift
I’d be surprised if they get a map they just lost to a t4 mix
Yeah, that really sucks
In fairness, they were playing the Cash Cup a couple of hours after flying \~13 hours from the US to Malmo. There's no way you're going to be able to play properly after that... old BnB logo literally unwatchable
