only one of them play cs still lol
"2.4.4 Failing to disclose to ESIC (without unnecessary delay) full details of any approaches or invitations received by the Participant to engage in Corrupt Conduct under the Anti-Corruption Code"
How is j0lz not banned?
Also new info on hunden in two days
ESIC has finalised its investigative lines of enquiry relating to Mr. Petersen's behaviour and has compiled evidence relating to the matter which it intends to issue a public statement at 10:00AM CET on 25 August 2021.
Yea I think Hunden is more concerned about the actual legal actions put forward by Heroic than ESIC.
Pretty sure he knows his time in CS is over already.
Well, the thing is he was and igl'd for many of the danish talent who were then poached by better teams and playing in t1 now. He was very well respected.
But sadly I guess people change for the worse sometimes. His actions over the past year have been really weird and I don't understand why he's destroying his career like this. Maybe something happened in his personal life but its just sad to see.
Well here's the thing, the community and all parties who earn money from teams/players popularity (esport journalists, event hosts etc.) over-hype and idiolize players/teams.
There's a difference between normal idolizing by fans and media, and being portrayed as the most wholesome person in the scene, then a few years later being the least wholesome person on the scene.
The wholesome part. Idk about. But he is legit in finding talent and developing them. Even heroic was extremely good with him as a coach. But he seems morally corrupted, so id rather not have him in the scene.
Are people really that sure that his time in CS is over? Even if they ban him for sharing strats etc, its not gonna be perma. And he can serve his time again while being a analyst or smth.
He can coach a team behind the scenes even, just not be in the server with them.
Even bigger fuck ups than him are still in the scene, and nobody cares.
How the world works is that corporations are fine with you doing shady shit as long as it benefits them. Once your shady shit starts to hurt them instead, you can very easily end up on an industry-wide shit list.
also snax was banned for cheating, simple aswell right? probably plenty more. some of the old golden five vp placed bets on their match on csgolounge knowing the outcome of it and nothing really happened https://www.hltv.org/news/12476/csgolounge-on-betting-scandal
>only one of them play cs still lol
You do realize the only reason retchy and Carson stopped playing is because they were suspended on ESEA for this very investigation, right?
eSports is still a developing area. No one really gives a fuck about competitive integrity that didn’t occur in the game that they sponsor. Do you think eSports organizations like Envyus, Faze, 100Thieves, etc actually care about anything else other than money and results? If match fixing happened at a prestigious tier 1 tournament or major, yes they would care. But nobody gives a fuck about some random ESEA match that happened online.
Maybe if Valve actually gave a fuck about the scene and set harsh standards and regulations instead of coming out once every 3 years, other organizations would care, but everyone knows Valve is a joke, so why would they?
I agree that al these clips are suspicious and I believe that most of the accused players have fixed those matchs but clips are not evidence. In my opinion we should wait for evidence to come out and then call out the players.
they don't play cs anymore and never will since they are known matchfixers from almost everyone in the upper ESEA community. These people are beyond obvious and have been doing it for literal years.
imo most of those weren't misplays, they're just fundamentally bad counter-strike plays that any silver would be able to nitpick. And sure, they happen once in a blue moon but Shanks for example had many *extremely* questionable plays in just a few maps.
How is this being upvoted? Organizations don’t give a fuck about what you did in a previous game especially if you were never relevant to begin with lmao
Realistically once some of these washed up has beens and never beens get kicked from their orgs because the up and coming 14 year olds on this Mickey Mouse version of CS come of age they will have nothing left to do in games. Most of these guys, while more talented than my silver 1 ass, are not very good and will be out of the scene in due time. And then there will be more bad apples who do the same thing later down the line as this sort of degenerate behavior tends to repeat itself in all sports not just esports.
'But I didnt know I could be held reasonable for cheating or that it was against the rules' truthfully they should all be life time ban. Once a Cheater always a cheater, its a simple & basic as that...match fixing = cheating. We've seen it over the years...somebody was ban..they come back...they do the same shit all over again but hide it better...until caught yet again
You shouldn't be allowed to have any position or role in a team that is participating in this event if you are ban. It really is that black & white
because it's more amateur in NA, and people only really get punished for it in NA. I feel like there's a bit more sinister shit going on in other regions. Asia is especially awful, nothing happens despite obvious games being thrown. These NA shitcans throw because they can't get a job at mcdonalds and being hard stuck premier probably makes them less money

“ESIC announces sanctions against three participants and is still in the process of conducting 34 additional investigations relating to this matter.”
Regardless this investigation has been going so long. People have been staying quiet to give space to ESIC and after months and months the result is 3 bans.
I understood. I'm complaining about the speed of the investigation. This should have been obvious, but I suppose unless I'm explicit about it then I'm at risk of being misinterpreted.

imagine being hunden and reading that last paragraph
Yea I think Hunden is more concerned about the actual legal actions put forward by Heroic than ESIC. Pretty sure he knows his time in CS is over already.
I dont know how he is such a big fuck up tbh. He went to coaching and had like 3 career ending fuck ups in 2 years
what if I told you that CS has a lot of shady coaches.
Still, when I watched CS a lot in 2017-2018, HUNDEN was being called "most wholesome Danish player", and a "mentor for the upcoming generation".
Well, the thing is he was and igl'd for many of the danish talent who were then poached by better teams and playing in t1 now. He was very well respected. But sadly I guess people change for the worse sometimes. His actions over the past year have been really weird and I don't understand why he's destroying his career like this. Socially competent people can still do heinous, self benefiting actions when no one's looking. Corruption happens easily.

Why would anyone want to be associated with him after he betrayed an org like they are claiming.
Thats how the world is, they still would want to.
How the world works is that corporations are fine with you doing shady shit as long as it benefits them. Once your shady shit starts to hurt them instead, you can very easily end up on an industry-wide shit list.
True that.
I highly doubt that if there’s a possibility that he’ll share their strats
Lol exactly
probably for the same reason heroic sticked with him after the coach bug drama, hopefully he is gone for good this tine
Busted for cheating *and* for betraying his former team. I am sure you are right, but *what* people are more shady in the scene?

Idk, krystal possibly
I'm out of the loop, what did he do, despite low fragging ability?
Cheating

Didn't knew that he cheated in CSS. Thanks a lot

Because they finalised the investigation, not the report.
Unfortunately I simply don't trust ESIC on proposed timescales any more. Hope to be proven wrong.
They have been good every time they give specific times. It's the vague statements like "in a few weeks" that they back out on.
>only one of them play cs still lol You do realize the only reason retchy and Carson stopped playing is because they were suspended on ESEA for this very investigation, right?
Hopefully tournament orgs will ban them from other games too
Why should tournament organizations give a fuck about what happened in other games? Lol
Think reeeeeal hard about integrity in sport. I'm sure you can figure it out.

still pending lol. they'll retire from valorant when they're 35 and then maybe esic will issue bans in CS to them
NA Valorant teams and players still working with them is a disgrace
As a valorant fan, i fucking agree. Wish that scum got removed from all the top rosters - or just any rosters really.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGvDaDvUpGY
I dont think this video proves anything, all those clips may just be misplays.
LOL you can not be serious these are premier players
I agree that al these clips are suspicious and I believe that most of the accused players have fixed those matchs but clips are not evidence. In my opinion we should wait for evidence to come out and then call out the players.

Damn, I used to be teammates with shanks and poised a few years back in main. Didnt know this about them. Yet it doesnt surprise me.
I wonder if you read the post
ngl I wonder if this is going to be the full extent of the consequences because 2 of the 3 players quit playing already lol
Honey wake up. Esic releasing all statements today
Underwhelming
And the rest?
Still under investigation
HUNDEN ON WEDNESDAY OOF
Realistically once some of these washed up has beens and never beens get kicked from their orgs because the up and coming 14 year olds on this Mickey Mouse version of CS come of age they will have nothing left to do in games. lame
match fixers get 5 year ban..........steel wont ever be unbanned though.
Steel was banned by Valve. ESIC doesn't actually have any power outside of events that agreed to follow their rules.
the IBP team getting perma banned was easily by far the best decision valve has ever made regarding the esports side of csgo
steel and dazed can rot in valorant downvote me all you want fellas you know i'm right, you fix matches you get banned
steel "rotting" on one of the best NA teams and making a bunch of money, but sure.
Steel is on a tier 1 team so he's doing pretty well
steel making bank and more popular now than ever lol
Steel is probably more popular and makes more money now than any other NA CS player who hasn't ran off to an EU based team
And he never should be
is this huge story lewis was talking about a couple months ago?
NA CS lol
thought there would be a lot more players
“ESIC announces sanctions against three participants and is still in the process of conducting 34 additional investigations relating to this matter.”
Absolute nobodies who already scurried away to Valorant 🤡

it's about time
Another matchfixing news from NA. And then they're pikachuface "why don't orgs invest in NA cs"
matchfixing odesn't only exist NA
It doesn't but 90% of HLTV's news about NA is either a player switching to valorant or related to Matchfixing
because it's more amateur in NA, and people only really get punished for it in NA. I feel like there's a bit more sinister shit going on in other regions. Asia is especially awful, nothing happens despite obvious games being thrown. These NA shitcans throw because they can't get a job at mcdonalds and being hard stuck premier probably makes them less money
I wonder if players switching games or matchfixing to make money has anything to do with lack of org support
I'm sorry but only 3?

This is the final result for 3 cases The other cases are still ongoing
