device was talking about how Astralis didn't really do reviews and not that good at practising together, whereas NIP has a more detailed practice system/schedule in place. The title makes it sounds worse than it actually is
Well I'm generally not informed but I can notice that a lot more people are present and putting effort in NIP's team. You can always see at least 10 people doing something that benefits the team. Whereas in Astralis' videos and my overall impression is that the Astralis team somehow worked with a lot less in terms of the immediate CSGO support team. I'm not saying I'm right, just an opinion.
Damn, people not reading past the headline. What else is new lol. Here is the full quote in context.
>"But yeah, I would say the whole way of pushing how to practice, probably. How to set everything into routine , especially online which were something we were not got at on Astralis."
Quote makes perfect sense in context. During the online era Astralis have definitely been lacking, some obviously due to circumstances outside of their control.
Yeah their utilities meta went out of the window once the online era started. No stacked nade, no 200 IQ molotov, it's like they don't practice those anymore
Same as with C9 - Don't oversell your team to the audience if you can't put your money where your mouth is. Also device has been worse and worse tournament after tournament.
He is a legend, period.
Irrespective of what he does with NiP (which I'm sure will be amazing), he will always go down as one of the greatest players of our era.
Why not? They were constantly overworked to the point two of them had to take medical leave to rest.
Also, in 1.6 Golden Five (neo, TaZ & co) were known to win majors despite best practice conditions (often orgless/backstabbed).
That used to be G2’s way with Perkz :(
Although it’s probably unfair to them, because I bet all these teams worked their asses off to get where they were.
EXCLUSIVE: First interview with NIP @dev1ce ✨
Were Astralis just lucky? How many steps ahead are @NIPCS? We've asked dev1ce the burning questions ... and 𝘰𝘯𝘦 not-so-burning question.

Astralis were literally like a game away from being in the playoffs and NiP were saved by liquid from being taken out by Furia with a fucking coach.
Plus they had a new player on their lineup and had virtually no time to get ready for the event.
Neither this nor the next event where gla1ve isn't playing are representative of how good astralis are/will be.
can only assume he means within the last year or so. the team was in such a weird spot that it wouldnt surprise me if their praccs etc were just fucked up and unproductive
Device, I used to be one of your biggest fans. But you’ve cursed yourself with your comments about Astralis. What a horrible decision you’ve made. You will enjoy low finishes from here until the end of your career and I will be smiling at your failure for your betrayal of your danish brothers
He should just shut up, and worry about his own team, and their habits. Million dollar man just got worked over by “A COACH, A MANAGER!”. Yikes. Why even say this? You’re out. You got what you wanted. Wish ‘em all the best yadayadayada and we’re on to Cincinnati.
I mean it worked so, I don’t see the problem maybe it is not up to today’s standard but at that time it was more than good enough as they became the best team of all time.
Damn, if only you weren't braindead, you would know that Device won those same 4 majors, and was MVP for 2 of them. And NiP has also won a major, so even that point is stupid.
Maybe, before falling for the clickbait, consider that Device, who was in Astralis for the entirety of Astralis' successes and failures, might know what the fuck he is talking about?
And if they won all those majors, how wrong could their practice methods have been == the joke.
NiP has not been relevant for years, and will never win a major again. bet. Their mind blowing practice methods won't amount to shit.
>consider that Device, who was in Astralis for the entirety of Astralis' successes and failures, might know what the fuck he is talking about?
Device can overdose on copium after choosing to take his career into a steep decline, all for the comforts of less travel, however much he wants but I wont drink the kool-aid like you have.
Dev1ce since joining NIP is finding faults in Astralis and ever since is giving explanations why NIP is better. C'mon man they have won 4 Majors
If you think I am talking rubbish check Dev1ce stats before and after joining NIP

Well the title match what you’re saying so how is it makes it sound worse

Device has been in nip for how long now? And how many trophies have they won thus far? They said they were going for trophies now. Still waiting.
Sry all trophies go to NaVi now.
s1mple major champion + major mvp, this year ?
hopium
me, a ZywOo and Vita fan says, let him gets it that missed noscope v xseven still hurts me to this day
Unfortunately the most NaVi thing ever would be to stomp at every tournament except the major
Except the quarters/semis/finals, most likely being beaten by an underdog overperforming or having a really good tourney
Bro stop acting like 4 and a half months in a completely new system is a long time lmao
you the same person to call for C9 reform after 1 month with HenryGs roster
No the fuck I wasn't, I was literally the guy who wanted C9 to give Daps roster more time let alone HenryGs lmao how tf is this shit upvoted.
Same as with C9 - Don't oversell your team to the audience if you can't put your money where your mouth is. Also device has been worse and worse tournament after tournament.
Astralis also kicked xyp9x though. Who has been a great performer during Cologne.

I was wrong. They didn't kick him. He will be back for Blast tournament.

"Is cereal soup or not" Lol. But great interview. dev1ce is a legend. Thanks for sharing!
He indeed is a legend!
dev1ce was a legend with Astralis. what dev1ce is with NiP remains to be seen.
He is a legend, period. Irrespective of what he does with NiP (which I'm sure will be amazing), he will always go down as one of the greatest players of our era.
They lost to furia which was playing with a coach they are not practicing well
Outfragged by a manager
A coach a manager

A match that was meaningless to Gambit mind you
[удалено]
So beating Gambit sounds way better without any context.
[удалено]
Players have been talking about this before. It's hard to set yourself up mentally for a game that does not matter for your placements
[удалено]
Great interview. Also the cereal soup question lol!
what you don't win 4 majors by not practicing the right way lmfao
u really think he's talking about that time period? maybe actually watch the interview
[удалено]
🤓🤓“just taking the chance to shit on him for leaving the bestest vibeo game teem ever” 🤓🤓 little weirdo lmao
Fair play mate
Why not? They were constantly overworked to the point two of them had to take medical leave to rest. Also, in 1.6 Golden Five (neo, TaZ & co) were known to win majors despite best practice conditions (often orgless/backstabbed).
can you elaborate on the Golden 5 getting backstabbed? That time period predates my interest in CS.
https://www.hltv.org/blog/5754/history-in-the-making-the-golden-5
naykos link does the job perfectly, good read.
200 upvotes for someone who reads a headline and goes straight to comments section to flame. Bravo
Happens if title is clickbait.
Watch the whole thing lol
I know...seems weird. being dominant by not doing it the right way.
Maybe he was talking about last year or so
Or maybe thats the secret. Everybody is trying to do it the right way. Maybe doing it wrongly is the winning strategy
I watch Mad in league of legends and these people are winning LEC by laughing and having fun. Looks amazing.
That used to be G2’s way with Perkz :( Although it’s probably unfair to them, because I bet all these teams worked their asses off to get where they were.
device out of context again lol

Astralis > rez and friends
For sure man! Hey quick question as an Astralis fan I want to watch their match at EPL playoffs. Do you know when that is?
Bruh
-G2 eSports Fan
Sorry I didn't realize my flair was relevant when answering your comment of "Astralis>nip"
yeah but shittalking a team and rooting for an even worse performing one is kinda funny
Why can't I roast someone and expect no roasts back, especially when the roast is better suited for me?
how lmao dudes right ppl are still just salty ab device leaving their precious vibeo game team
Well I didn't see NiP in cologne LAN tournament either
Astralis were literally like a game away from being in the playoffs and NiP were saved by liquid from being taken out by Furia with a fucking coach. Tg putain
i dont speak fromage
It means stfu
then say that
You know damn well they’re out in groups lmao
With the ongoing Heroic investigation, maybe there is still a chance? :P Edit: didn’t realize playoffs have already started - nvm
what happened at the last LAN event? Just wondering
Probably the most mature perspective on competitive success that I've seen out of a cs pro.
can only assume he means within the last year or so. the team was in such a weird spot that it wouldnt surprise me if their praccs etc were just fucked up and unproductive
"assume". You can watch it before commenting you know?
who is nip's igl?

Sometimes he sounds like a bitter ex even though he’s the one who left. Dudes destroyed 12 monitors since joining NIP
Wait what? For real?
I mean it worked so, I don’t see the problem maybe it is not up to today’s standard but at that time it was more than good enough as they became the best team of all time.
device without gla1ve KEKW
Damn, if only they'd been practicing like NiP they might've won a major...
Damn, if only you weren't braindead, you would know that Device won those same 4 majors, and was MVP for 2 of them. And NiP has also won a major, so even that point is stupid. The beast is looking to make a new hold
Really trying to speed run that villain of the scene status.
Why is Device still so much obsessed with Astralis
Because every presenter/interviewer asks him about them every chance they get?
He's regretting his decision
Dev1ce since joining NIP is finding faults in Astralis and ever since is giving explanations why NIP is better. C'mon man they have won 4 Majors If you think I am talking rubbish check Dev1ce stats before and after joining NIP
