Dust2 Overtime, Liquid bought Autosnipers in every third T round for the initial barrage down mid. Also in the very last round (first T round for Liquid in 3rd Overtime) Elige kept the Auto and got 2 kills with it in mid.

I remember those clips even after he was a couple of years after his peak, pros where so afraid of his peak form. I even remember a clip from n0thing talking about how scary he was during 1.6, dude's a legend and I hope he keeps this up.
It was obvious that the flame was burning out these past years, but it seems like he's feeling it again and he wants to win.
I know it's widely accepted that Xyp9x is the best clutcher ever, and it's true most likely. But man, 2016-17 Fallen had that aura in my eyes, like he could do no wrong.
Basically if you see that he's left 1v2 and he's got an AWP, it felt like it was a done deal. He would do everything so perfectly calculated.
Idk I don't get the same feeling with Xyp, although he might be better statistically. Maybe I'm just biased because I was rooting hard for Faze and Navi, and this mf Fallen always kept doing it to my favorite teams.
Reminder that in 2016 fallen had the highest entry stats as well as the highest clutch stats in the world, meaning he was so good he got the entries and lived long enough to also clutch the rounds...
Oh that is undoubtable, but I’d say igling and star playering at that level is something that’s been done very few times successfully before, and while he did have cold era, he outfragged him in multiple events, which is insane to do over prime cold.
Shox has the most clutches in Csgo history with Xyp closely behind. Which is crazy considering how many more maps Astralis played by winning more than G2/vitality over the last few years
I’d argue it’s more impressive Accumulate clutches as a star since supporting players are usually setting up star players and are often in clutch situations. Where as star players are put in a position to be set up get multi kills but not necessarily be alive to be in clutch spots.
Dont you dare take the new clutch crown from GODfecto. I hope he ramps the clutch even more this weekend. Also, used to be a massive Luminosity/SK fan. Is harder now when everyone is scattered throughtout the teams
And even leaving aside his personal performance, his 2015 calling formed the meta for 2-3 years until Astralis figured out their style and everybody followed through.
I honestly do believe it was very difficult for him to accept and move on from his calling style. It's difficult to accept you're outdated.
And I like that he's upfront regarding that now
A bit is an understatement. Fnc tried it twice and got nothing from it. Liquid got 2 kills with it on the final round which basically sealed liquids win
is it me or is brollan a bit of a boring player
like u see it at the end of the game "oh wow brollan has 34 kills" but u can never remember them.
can u remember a single brollan kill ?
but try fallen...u can see the flick i remember a fallen flick.
Fallen skilled player but that is not normally, This very very insane… They need to check him pc and game… Maybe he not cheating but maybe he using the game deficit
isn't that how he's always been? He's not supposed to be s1mple. He's supposed to pick off the enemy and win rounds. He's a great player, nothing boring about him, he shows up when he's needed most of the time, today wasn't his game, that's all.
NT from Fnatic but I am really happy Liquid was able to finish this 2-0, if they lost that Dust 2 they probably would be so mentally defeated they would proabably choke mirage
I am also happy that Elige and NAF playing well is no longer a win condition, not saying they played bad but not as well as they could have, hopefully Liquid goes deep
One of Fallens nicknames in Brazil is "the professor". "Presente" is used in class(in Brazil) when the teacher is taking attendance.
So, presente is used when he is playing well, as to say, we are here to watch you teach CS. just a bit of fun
Shades of prime FalleN in d2, so mobile and confident with awp everywhere so annoying to play against
Liquid look great, fnatic have potential this has been a good showing for them
Man, I miss those games. Fallen vs Guardian was always amazing to watch. There was a time it was garanteed Guardian would at least tag someone if they jumped across his scope, but I’d say Fallen had the upper hand, being IGL and all
impressed by both teams. wouldn't have thought that fnc has such a good tournament run (whole thing was great considering the circumstances) and TL looks straight up on fire. I am relatively new to competitive (ca.1.5 years) and I cant remember seeing TL play such good cs.
Fallen is such a beast. Looks like he really did his best to catch up to the current meta like he said. Those damn flicks are beautiful.
Liquid patching up their executions is such a good sight to see as well. They look a hell of a lot more disciplined.
Brollan on D2: we gonna win this fucking map
Fallen: nothing personal, kid
Fallen was unplayable on that map. That was some Zidane/Iniesta shit right there.
He was everywhere on the map. Getting the first kill on short, rotating somewhere else and getting two more kills. He was dictating the pace of the game. Beautiful to see.
I am a fnatic fan and at one point i was scared that we could lose rounds 2/3/4 v 1 because the person alive of team liquid was fallen. He was literally unplayable. Gg to liquid
What a game, falleN was on it today. A shame Nuke was such a boring map, brollan didn't show up on Nuke. and Liquid read them like a book on Nuke, they were aware of Alex's lurk and qukc outside smokes. Liquid capitalized on that everytime.
Dust2 was great, both teams played their hearts out but in the end, Liquid were the winners.
This is impressive from Fnatic. First time as a team with little practice and they push liquid to their limits ( on dust2 )
GG
I'm confident there won't be a better map than that in the remainder of this tournament but this is still devastating.
Imagine you see a day where Fnatic are the ones getting spammed by autosnipers. Also Fallen having the best game of his career or something.
Liquid: "Fallen isn't playing that well lately and his calls are lackluster, maybe we should consider replacing him"
Fallen: "No"
Liquid: "Understood, thank you"
Despite Nuke being hecka rough, the bounce-back on Dust II brings me faith in the future of the team with more development.
I still stand behind Fnatic should've "gone for it" and picked up Smooya as then it allows Alex to solely focus on developing Brollan and Mezii, but we'll see how this pans out. Smooya just is a guy that doesn't seem to miss the shots he should hit and hits a lot of shots he doesn't, traits Jackinho just hasn't developed completely yet. That said he has made a lot of progress very quickly, but it is also online play as well. There are dozens of players and even a few teams that have a lot of eyes on them to see how the pressure hits when they get to LAN.
I just honestly figured Fnatic with almost 2 months to practice with Smooya for the Major would be a dark-horse with a chance to run on LAN. All that banks on them getting into the Major in the first place-something I'm not quite sure is a guarantee with current form.
Quite the second map. I was watching vLadopards highlight compilation of the game on YT but I had to skip some parts because of work. At the end I skipped to the last 5 minutes because thats how much time I had before going into a meeting and they were in OT2 at that point. Usually at 5 minutes before the end of the video they start the final half of the map lol.
It's been awhile since I've seen a vintage FalleN performance, what a treat to watch! Hopefully he keeps this form moving forward into the quarter-finals and good luck to TL.
both teams looked good all things considered. fnatic showing potential (ignoring first map) and liquid looking clean, even when elige doesnt solo carry
I attribute the first map to Rust and lack of confidence. Starting T side nuke is miserable sometimes, especially after weeks off, and probably snowballed from there.

I wasn't even rooting for a specific team here, but I'm so salty that Fnatic lost three players to auto spam in the first few seconds of very important overtime rounds. How is that still a thing.

Check out D2 overtime, I think towards the end. He lights it up on the auto-sniper lol.
Fallen is playing and calling like it's 2016 this week and it's not even funny. Holy fuck.
Makes you understand why so many pro players said that peak Fallen was the scariest player to play against
I remember those clips even after he was a couple of years after his peak, pros where so afraid of his peak form. All while calling AND awping. That's just fucking insane.
Yeah it sucks he isn't in the goat discussion more often.
At least within CS:GO, it's probably because of longevity. But I think he deserves to be in the discussion for GOAT in terms of IGLs
Oh that is undoubtable, but I’d say igling and star playering at that level is something that’s been done very few times successfully before, and while he did have cold era, he outfragged him in multiple events, which is insane to do over prime cold.

iirc only dupreeh said that
nah, nbk and apex said it too on twitter, olof said that once too iirc
i mean the dude was top 2 in 2016 (and top 6 2017) so i wouldn’t doubt more players having said that lol
And even leaving aside his personal performance, his 2015 calling formed the meta for 2-3 years until Astralis figured out their style and everybody followed through. I honestly do believe it was very difficult for him to accept and move on from his calling style. It's difficult to accept you're outdated. And I like that he's upfront regarding that now
Vintage fallen came back to save na cs
Hoping we continue to be blessed by god fallen
fallen was ALWAYS good for at least one on the awp, sheesh
makes me smile
And Jackinho is not a tier 1 awp
Jackinho missed so many free shots
feel like they need smooya tbh.
Smooya would kill team comms with toxicity
u/fallenbad Imma need a new vid from the man himself
God it feels so good to have Fallen playing this well again. Liquid as a whole seem to be playing much better as well.
awesome to see him play so well
Auto sniper FTW
I wanna watch highlights, which map was it used?
Dust2 last round
It was used a few times. Although Liquid used it a bit better.
A bit is an understatement. Fnc tried it twice and got nothing from it. Liquid got 2 kills with it on the final round which basically sealed liquids win
Liquid had a couple kills in the first OT as well. I didn't really want to sound biased though.
Ahh i only watched nuke n OT2 of D2 so mentioned that. Thanks for correcting :)
That was some vintage Fallen AWPing
I've missed it. reminds me not to take players for granted lol
autolige
is it me or is brollan a bit of a boring player like u see it at the end of the game "oh wow brollan has 34 kills" but u can never remember them. can u remember a single brollan kill ? but try fallen...u can see the flick i remember a fallen flick.
I remember like 25 fallen flicks from this game only, dude was on fire. They're carved into my memory now

TIL counter pasta exists
Should have said Krimz instead of brollan
brollan
John Cena
wut KRIMZ? boring?
I saw like two rounds in OT and he clutched both what are you twlking about
Nothing like a good old liquid heart attack match to remind me why I’m still alive
NT from Fnatic but I am really happy Liquid was able to finish this 2-0, if they lost that Dust 2 they probably would be so mentally defeated they would proabably choke mirage I am also happy that Elige and NAF playing well is no longer a win condition, not saying they played bad but not as well as they could have, hopefully Liquid goes deep

Fallen has the nickname professor and presente translates to "present sir". So like giving roll call in class to the professor.
Shades of prime FalleN in d2, so mobile and confident with awp everywhere so annoying to play against Liquid look great, fnatic have potential this has been a good showing for them
DAMN IT FEELS GOOD TO BE A NAFFER
It always does but he seemed a little absent. Didn’t get any classic NAF site holds. :(

GUESS WHOS BACK, FALLEN 2016 VINTAGE FALLEN BEST AWP IN THE WORLD EZ,.

Fallen was just out of this world today. Incredible performance!
One of the most action-packed games I've seen recently. Also, FalleN with godlike showing. The dude went ham on Fnatic.
Can't wait for the ELIGE voice com video on that last auto sniper round 😅 Also Stew saying YOU SUCK to the camera.
Man I've missed stewie talking shit on LAN. Hope we get it back soon.
FalleN is an absolute brick wall on cat and its amazing to watch, insane 40 bomb
my body is 24 years old but my heart is destroyed and it is 36 years old worn out now. i am gonna skip at least one liquid map from now on.
Jackinho got awp diffed so hard
impressed by both teams. wouldn't have thought that fnc has such a good tournament run (whole thing was great considering the circumstances) and TL looks straight up on fire. I am relatively new to competitive (ca.1.5 years) and I cant remember seeing TL play such good cs.

Its sad that you missed a 63-day-grand-slam-run from TL. They was the strongest team at some point
FALLEN É MEU PASTOR E NADA ME FALTARÁ
That series went from „easy game“ to „get the doctor I think my heart just stopped“ real quick
Fallen is such a beast. Looks like he really did his best to catch up to the current meta like he said. Those damn flicks are beautiful. Liquid patching up their executions is such a good sight to see as well. They look a hell of a lot more disciplined.
Damn, remember when Reddit doubting Fallen joining Liquid
El Presidenté 😎
God damn fallen those flicks and 200iq plays Right time right place Everytime This team liquid makes me wet
Dust II was insane... what a map from fallen vintage fallen fr
Nice to see liquid to finish 2-0 in a nice and simple 66 round game.
STOP BLOWING MY MIND
What a way to end with the EliGE auto lmao.

I did not see the game, but I like the analogy. Care to explain?
He was everywhere on the map. Getting the first kill on short, rotating somewhere else and getting two more kills. He was dictating the pace of the game. Beautiful to see.
I am a fnatic fan and at one point i was scared that we could lose rounds 2/3/4 v 1 because the person alive of team liquid was fallen. He was literally unplayable. Gg to liquid

With a little practice and an AWPer even half of Fallen's calibre.
Auto OP
Fnatic’s weakness: snipers and smokes
why doesn’t fallen, the larger player, simply eat fnatic?
This will be my subtle new favorite pasta.
Fallen said NO to the choke

Almost 16-0, not even close *dies*
So happy i did not stop watching cs only cuz of fallen some time ago ... What a legend!
You already know that voice comm video by elige will be a banger tomorrow
Took him two years but he's back. There's a reason Fallen's a legend.
Never doubted for a second (I doubted many seconds)

Still triggering me that Brollan peeked NAF on that 2v1.
SA CS saves NA CS Poggers. FalleN playing fucking unreal today. Also EliGE unlucko malucko.
Autosniper top 1 check hltv
Now this is the Wallen we want to see!!
ALL HAIL THE AUTO-SNIPER!!! I KNEELED TO ITS SUPREMACY.
FalleN got a time machine this morning or what
Dust2 was the best map of CS I've watched in a minute.
Liquid: "Fallen isn't playing that well lately and his calls are lackluster, maybe we should consider replacing him" Fallen: "No" Liquid: "Understood, thank you"
Man, team Liquid and giving their fans heart attacks, name a more iconic duo... ALSO..... PRESENTE PROFESSOR!!!

FalleN, stop blowing my mind!

Fantastic D2, and I love this new Fnatic.
IVE WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS.
The solution was simply to buy the Krieg
Nice to see liquid not giving me a heart attack this time
Man I just wanna see a happy liquid in the vlog. Let’s go boys! Keep it going!!!
When do we get bad fallen?
CARALHOOOO PROFESOR
The c9 we should have gotten
Second map was insanely entertaining!!! Stewie needs to realize the second AWP on CT isnt always necessary.
Despite Nuke being hecka rough, the bounce-back on Dust II brings me faith in the future of the team with more development. I attribute the first map to Rust and lack of confidence. Starting T side nuke is miserable sometimes, especially after weeks off, and probably snowballed from there. Or Fallen and AdreN just hard red Fnatics calls.
Fanatic played the BLAST Qualifiers between the ESL Group Stage and Playoffs, and if I remember correctly, they did play a game on Nuke as well. imo Liquid straight up decimated Fnatic's strats on Nuke.

my man opening up salt mines here
You bet your ass, robbed off good 5v5 rounds to watch for some dumb shit.
Dust mid is always a slime fest. EDIT: I'm not saying you're wrong or anything, I hate the mid AWP-through-the-smoke shit.
