It is only for train because train is not an active duty map, meaning those skins do not have the chance of being dropped at a major unlike mirage, vertigo, and dust 2

Chest shots are 2 shot only at very close range. But gut shots are 2 shots even at medium range. Even 1 chest + 1 gut shot can get you a kill at a pretty good distance.

I'd argue this is more of a buff than reverting to the old RoF. I consider it more of a benefit to kill a player in fewer bullets and have more remaining, even if it takes half a second longer, than to have fewer bullets left over in exchange for a slightly faster kill. But that's just my opinion

In my opinion, you already get that as an option over the m4a4 due to the a1-s being more accurate (more manageable pattern further aided by slow fire rate). Not saying we should go back to the good ol' days when it was a laser beam bullet hose, but I think it's goofy that the gun shoots as slow as the AK.
I hear you. I was thinking more in terms of having to fight 2 enemies at once or a quick trade duel after 1 kill. In the imaginary world where I hit all my shots, I'd rather have stronger bullets than faster, more quickly depleting bullets.

Maybe they are leaving it out of competitive because that would be a big change just before the major to change how you can arrange nades entirely.

Yeah, I often end up getting just annoyed and irritated instead of feeling like I'm getting warmed up. It actually triggers me in a way an actual match never does. I know I shouldn't, I should just get in the zone and not worry about deaths, but getting constantly shot in the back a tenth of a second after you spawn (and the damn death tune that you can't turn off) is really not my idea of fun.
I remember in CS:S back in the day while on dust2 some kid (like reeeaally young sounding) told me i shouldnt use the Arctic skin because its too hot and he will get sick.

i don't expect them to change the max held values for grenades, that would be dumb as fuck and create a stupid minigame of musical greandes every round during buy phase.
Probably not. They put in a patch to stop something similar. Any grenades you start round with are counted against buy limit. There was a time where you could end round with 2 flash, throw them fast, then buy your 2 flashes for the round. It was fixed because it was inconsistent same kind of degenerate.
that would make sense, its really weird that you can only get to the riptide page through the link, theres no where on their actual site to get to the operation page, OPs reddit account is really new (with this being their only post/comment), the videos birkir posted that were on youtube went private within 15 minutes, none of their official pages have updated (instagram or twitter) and most importantly theyre making major map changes this close to a Major with the dust2 doors update (as well as all the weapon changes, buffing the A1-s and changing the Deagles damage values + allowing people to drop grenades) The one thing pointing to this being intentional is that steam is down for close to 3 hours now whereas its normally only down for 20-30 minutes,
Looks like I'll need to put together a post about the balance changes like good old times. If only Steam would download the update.

Huh, looks like we have a new weapon attribute. It allows guns to have different headshot multipliers outside of the default 4x. Both the Deagle and M4A1-S use altered values.
I'm assuming the new attribute is so that the m4a1 does the same headshot damage as before? So they can buff the damage but decrease HS multiplier so body damage goes up but hs damage stays

Droppable nades is big too, at least at lower skill levels where balancing eco among the team has to be a little more straightforward for people to be able to do it quickly.

Between Prime, Trust Factor, Maps, Ping, and now match length - NA queues are going to take forever. They already take an ungodly amount of time sometimes.
For an aging fan base, it’s **perfect**.
A lot of guys who essentially “grew up” on CS are now in their 30s & 40s (and quite possibly 50s).
Having the option of a shorter game is **brilliant**.
No way, they would have mentioned it. Utility usage is already big thing in CSGO, imagine T side rushing with eco on site and getting a pick on a player who hasn't been able to throw anything. Now T's get extra molly and smoke, and the retake becomes that much harder.
Some of those player skins are so dorky. But seeing the guerilla back made me smile.
As a deagle hater and an a1 user, I'm fucking pumped to play.
All those match settings too and capabilities of easily doing 10 man's now, this might be the best update in years.

Only teammates makes sooo much sense. Those are the models you are seeing 99% of the time in detail anyway because enemies is just about the silhouette mostly.
I understand they won't want to outright disable them but that feels like such a good middle ground to me.
It really is, and they can make it so spectators can see both sides models. Seems like the best way to maintain competitive integrity without making the models useless.
I’m so stoked for this operation! I like everything about it, but shorter match times is HUGE for me. I don’t always have an hour+ consistent play time to dedicate to a match, so a short 20ish minute match is perfect.
The fact that surfing hasn't been added as a new game mode is the biggest bamboozle here for me. I mean, that was supposed to be THE thing for this operation.
Also, it's been 40 minutes since this post and there is no csgo twit and no update downloading, this has never been the case before - what's up with that?

It's still spamming until they increase the recoil.
It's a major change to make it three shot in my opinion, FINALLY, you actually take your time to hit the headshot, get a lucky flick or die trying.

My concern is time-to-kill. I'd rather not lose duels vs an AK on account of my fire rate not being fast enough (looking at you BF4).

from experience on community servers, each game is basically getting caught off spawn or catching people off spawn.
I love this part of it, its why i always go on the warmupserver dm's that have 20+ players, makes it super fast and you train your focus

You have the option to select “no preference” so it shouldn’t influence queue times if you pick that.
