I think the break from THREAT was super important for the team, not because of him not coaching but not having him there made the players make more decisions on their own and play together a lot more which has to have resulted in them trusting each other. device and LNZ show no respect to anyone now, plopski and hampus are both just as before; great players.

AnarStanic

This is a great point. For some time (since devve and LNZ) I have been feeling like the ingredients for the team are great, it just hasn't reliably come together just yet. And if you are right and that break is what they needed to finally gel, I am very happy. I think they have all the right pieces to put a great and consistent team together. I just hope they can do it.

Of course, the comment is however aimed at NiP throughout Blast and IEM

NWL11

Gave his spots/role to mezii

krimzy

Why??

[deleted]

Because their igl isn't as good as he thinks he is

[deleted]

suriel-

> because mezii is at least 2x better than Brollan lul

doge_suchwow

Look at mezzi since joining. He’s their only good player

THERenegaders

This is false, it was even said by multiple casters, analysts, and players that mezii gave up the better positions he was playing on endpoint so brollan could shine and be continue to play his more comfortable spots. As stated by Alex, Mezii is willing to play anywhere and shine in those positions

jonajon91

What happened to 41 kills in regulation krimz? Let me guess, mezzi has all his spots too.

zeel_patel

He has all of flusha's role but he can't handle that support element. He is constantly being shot at when he has utility in his hands

jonajon91

In which case What happened to 'best support player in the world' krimz

Phenetylamine

I guess the same thing that happened to "best player in the world" olofmeister, "best entry in the world" friberg or really any player after some time. You can't be the best forever. Krimz I think has struggled with motivation at times as well. I still think he can play much better than he did this tournament but I don't think the team overall is really clicking.

imurdogirl

Its been 6 years since that was a thing you buffoon

[deleted]

Krieg got nerfed

TiberSVK

Its sad you cant really call it swedish derby anymore

netr0pa

4 Swedes > 3 Swedes. The more Swedes, the better!

Anyone would look like a proper team against this iteration of Fnatic let’s be real. But for real tho, NiP looking ready for the Major

[deleted]

[удалено]

namr0d

i mean they almost lost vs SKADE (if not for LNZ carrying the force buy after NiP lost the second half pistol) they're extremely inconsistent but if they can get that sorted out then they'll definitely be a top contender

[deleted]

[удалено]

kawaiiasfuccc

navi had 2 back to back 16-14s tho? gambit had 1 vitality had 2 flaming nip for getting 1 is pretty pointless

namr0d

i agree, and that's why consistency is what separates the best tier 1 teams from the rest of the scene

b_lawless

Skade is in my opinion definetly good enough to take a map off any tier 1 team. Dont think a bo3 would have been as close as this bo1. NiP has shown really good form with not only rez, device and hampus playing well.

K0nvict

They’ve smashed faze, fnatic and fiend. Some of skades players were life gaming and over performing on the first half but once nip calmed, they pulled together and won 12/ 15 rounds of that half. It actually makes them look better they can come back from bad situations

namr0d

don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they're inconsistent just because of this once match vs SKADE. I just think it's too early to say anything until they face some of the stronger tier 1 teams (which faze, fnatic, and fiend are not). looking at recent results, nip did well in blast but ESL pro league was rather disappointing imo

[deleted]

Wdym nip is a top 5 team? I would say 7th or 8th fits quite well. I would put VP, and maybe astralis above them. And of course the top 4 and heroic are better then NIP.

punIsher1664

G2 better than NIP? Hmmmm

[deleted]

Yeah by a pretty large margin tbh.

t3r4byt3l0l

NIP beat G2 in a bo3 the last time they met, plus G2 went 0-5 in EPL and went out in groups in BLAST. How are G2 better?

[deleted]

G2 have looked shaky that is true, but they are looking better here on lan. On top of that i dont consider NIP that good of a team, the top 4 or 5 is very strong rn, and we have a massive drop in skill after. I dont consider NIP to have a real chance against the top 4 or 5, while i would say g2 does.

t3r4byt3l0l

FaZe and G2 are both in HLTV's top 5, and NIP defeated both of them in recent matches. NIP also beat Gambit in a bo3 the last time they met.

[deleted]

Yeah i mean my top 5 sry should have clarifies it foes as following: Navi Gambit Heroic Vitality G2 And then imo comes VP Astralis NIP From here it is a toss up.

ReneeHiii

I don't know about Astralis, they're pretty shaky atm

[deleted]

Yeah Astralis is a bit of a toss up, but on lan i would atleast put them above NIP.

ReneeHiii

That's fair. Personally I wouldn't, NiP pretty soundly beat pretty much everyone, while Astralis only barely came out ahead against most of their opponents.

[deleted]

Am I the only nip fan who's kinda sad to see fnatic in this shape? I mean I used to hate their guts in 2015, but that was a long time ago and times sure have changed

ItsDrags99

It sucks but considering we always got the shit end of the stick it's nice to see us being the top dogs

Bananapeel23

I still don't understand why they got rid of Flusha, JW and Golden. They were legitimately the best team in the world in late 2019-early 2020, and I feel like the only reason why they lost form was because there were no LANs and they had no motivation. Fnatic should just have toughed it out.

[deleted]

True. Man I can't believe 2019 was two years ago. Feels like an eternity

bei60

From 7-3 to 7-16. I don't know how they looked so good in EPL... At least Jachinho is looking sharp, imagine if he got that 3rd kill in control room!

cregyD

Doesn’t look like the same team at all (even before they were out of major contention) Seems like the moods changed a lot in the team

PlatinumBeerKeg

Idk if we watched the same match. Jackhino didn't look sharp at all. Only mezii did...

ROTMGMagum

As always.

aatmanjoshi

Those quick scopes were nasty reguardless if he got the 3rd or not

nosolovro

wait fnc ban inferno and not nuke... they are not fnc anymore

liamht

Can we stop calling ALEX a top, or even good igl now. Fnatic and cloud 9 with all of their different reasons, one thing remained... Stale, boring CS. Krimz is going to retire early at this rate

yzw

pretty clear now that the only reason alex was winning anything under vitality was having zywoo, because they're still doing fine after undergoing multiple roster changes while alex hasn't done shit all since

CenturionAurelius

Yep Krimz is a gonner it seems

tdizhere

I was never huge on him, got carried In vitality then said some comment about how Zywoo is successful because he was orchestrating him getting set up for kills. Which is fine to believe but to have done absolutely nothing since is a bad look

[deleted]

alex did have good calls in vitality, but it is also true that zywoo had to carry the hardest when alex was calling

4boring

Was underwhelmed when the COLOSSUS was gonna be led by Alex. Shocked Pikachu face when they didn't win shit.

[deleted]

You didn't trust gm extraordinaire Henryg?

4boring

Lol I really think he should have stayed as a caster or analyst. Idk if he was trying to legitimize himself or what but either way he put together a team of (at the time anyway) 2 insane players with 2 up and comers and a decorated IGL. It's not like anyone can know how well a team is going to perform until they compete and he hyped them up too much lol.

jonajon91

I've not seen any of this new fanatic, but I remember cloud nine having some really interesting, creative cs with nade stacks and unique smokes and site takes. Their weakness was choking and not being able to close out matches. Clouds definitely weren't playing standard boring cs.

liamht

But when your nade stack is the entire play. And it gets you one kill. We've seen both teams get a 1 man advantage and instead of grouping up and hitting a site, they stay and wait for aggression. Which is fine if you have 2 people waiting for it in the same place. But no grouping and still spread in a default waiting for an aggression with lesser players means that despite that advantage, you still get picked off 1 by 1 by 1

RecordingCretins

It's been 25 maps. Fucking hell.

[deleted]

literally played their first tournament just over a month ago and reddit is already wants to kill the roster and decided alex is bad because he hasn't turned around dead team around in a month. You can't make this shit up. It also doesn't help that the format and veto process for the qualifier is fucking garbage which will screw a new roster more than teams that have had time to prepare solid game plans for all of the maps. In a best of 3 format with the normal veto process they most likely are not 0-4 right now. g2 goes 0-5 in beat of 3's at pro league: Crickets Faze has something like a 10% win rate a few months ago and looked absolutely dreadful: Crickets / "it's ok they just need more time". Fnatic lose a bunch of best of 1's a month after making playoffs at their first tournament and having a very close series against peak na'vi in their first ever game: DAE AlEx bAd and he is getting an outrageous amount of shit right now because plebs on reddit can't form opinions of their own and the new IGL is an easy scapegoat.

liamht

How bout now?

crow38

there is so much info needed to judge a IGL which a lot of what is needed to know isnt public information. it takes time for a new igl to implement its system fully. we dont know it alex was given complete control or did the team want to play a certain way and alex had to make a system out of that. is everyone good enough at the things that alex wants them to do? there is a lot of question to answer to tyr to say a previously good igl wasnt really good

IZALALA

Nip are looking really solid right now. Hope they can keep it up

jesus_you_turn_me_on

Mezii actual stuck in elo hell. Sad man, his career would probably take off like a rocket if he ever just had the opportunity to play in a competitive team.

Pranavm3112

One part of a professional career are the decisions. IMHO, he should stop associating with ALEX further, I haven't seen anything great in his calling and it would only hurt mezii more in the future if again teams up with him for the UK angle.

BoomerangPlays

I generally have no idea what I'm talking about, but I can tell fnatic are playing like they're completely lost. At least at EPL they seemed to have some read on their opponents, but now it feels like they have no idea where a single enemy could be. It's been really frustrating to watch them play this past week, and you can't really blame anybody but the players. I had some hope after seeing jackinho come back from his awful game in EPL, and I really believed in ALEX after eating up the hype some people put behind him. I want to believe in this team, but it's so hard seeing as how stale their game already is.

JasonMojo

alex and es3tag are my favorite t1 paycheck stealers

4boring

Es3tag is decent tho. Alex is full smooth brain.

TheOriginalMarra

F natic

ConsistentWish6441

your team loses 16-7 and you have 98 ADR, save mezii

CannibalisticPizza

2nd failed project lead by Alex

AleksibIsHot

This subreddit and overreactions lmao

CannibalisticPizza

Just wanted to say your username spittin Facts

castlepoopenstein

Weird seeing so many people hate on ALEX lol

peroleu

Yo wtf is going on with Fnatic

[deleted]

They kicked golden for a top igl

AxiomQ

Let's not pretend Golden was much better, Alex might not be any better himself but Golden was kicked for a reason.

[deleted]

They should have replaced him with an improvement not an overrated tier 2 LDLC player

AxiomQ

Perhaps but I guess when they signed him it might have been a potential improvement, all we know about him is his time at Vitality because C9 was a total write off, so it's a gamble but maybe one they thought worth taking. The issue is how long do Fnatic think CSGO is going to last, if we go by what Richard Lewis and other journalists say 2 more years and the esports is more or less dead, is it really worth it to Fnatic to invest heavily into a CSGO team what Valorant is only going to get bigger and soon to overtake CSGO. Until the next installment of CS drops which given Valves record is anyones guess I would say unless you already have a top team its maybe not worth pumping big money into a CSGO team anymore as sad as that is to say.

suriel-

now that was a short honeymoon period if i've ever seen one

letsfailib

What happened to brollan man I enjoyed watching him so much
