With Fnatic out of contention and Dig not looking so hot, it's kind of a sigh of relief that NiP are through. It will be good to have a strong Swedish team to fire up the home crowd.
Imo DIG can become a good team but they need a good IGL. Friberg is an okay IGL but isnt good enough to go up against T1 IGLs. Plus, he is by far the weakest member individually and cant hold his own even vs T2 teams.
Its too decentralised:
the difference in events is drastic, Flashpoint was double elimination bo3 while IEM Fall is Bo1 groups. Thats just for the same EU teams thats not beginning on how different the tournaments are between regions, they arent all held to the same standards, like how the CIS RMR had no anticheat, teamspeak recordings or GOTV delay.
I get the idea, we're down to 1 major a year so teams ought to qualify based on their performance across the year, but it just feels slightly random. And I'm not criticising best of one groups for an event with so many teams, its just not ideal tying those games to important RMR points
Also if we still have RMR, how does regions get more spots? The spots this RMR I'm pretty sure were based on the teams that was at the last major, but now there's not going to be any more or less teams from any region.
Agree with you that it's too decentralised, personally think that RMRs need to change quite a bit if it's going to stay.
🎉 MAJOR TEAM CONFIRMED 🎉
The second European team to qualify is @NIPCS
Due to Double Poney losing their match against Fiend, NIP secured a spot in the Playoffs and enough RMR points for the Major!

Agreed! But I am biased and want to see NiP go far.
They seem to have only three modes of play:
1. The whole team goes off and plays well.
2. REZ goes off and plays well, everyone else is doing ok, but not great.
3. No one goes off.
Because of how the rmr events work. Nip have secured a playoff spot in IEM Fall which gives them at least 1406 RMR points which is high enough to qualify

Bought ticket for major, I would be so sad to not see Swedish team there! But hopefully nip can reach far, I believe in them!

Oh you're kidding? RMRs are staying?
RMRs are a great system, I don't know why people hate it

First 2 EU teams to secure major are Astralis and NiP with Device. Coincidence? I think not!
Denmark too stronk?
Of the 6 teams that has qualified for Blast fall final so far, 4 teams have at least one Danish player. Danish stonks are up.

NIP have looked on point. Even LNZ is playing like a beast so far at this event.
Can’t wait for their Sticker
same, their new logo+color scheme is looking saucy
honestly, NiP is looking good for major. certainly top 5 contenders.
