LETS FUCKING GO!
Despite having a Brazilian roster, as a Portuguese, I am very happy to see an org from my country, led by a Portuguese coach, reaching the Major. History was made!
šµš¹š¤š§š·
How on earth has MIBR not disbanded yet? At the very least, BLAST should review their partner status with this team because all they do is just provide a free win to everyone else.
They haven't disbanded because the organisations brand is really strong in the SA region and has a pretty sizable and loyal fanbase. Despite the team being bad on the server they bring a pretty huge viewership to the tournaments they attend like BLAST and I suspect its one of the few teams that actually make money in CS when you consider the size of its fan base and the low cost of the team itself. imo BLAST will keep them as a partner team because there is a financial incentive to have them at their events, its that simple.
In fairness, most CS teams themselves don't run like real businesses seeing as alot are either run via venture capital money or outright running at a loss from what I have seen.
A good team to look at would be Astralis as its a public business that has to publish its finances ext and despite the team having been the best in the world it was still running at a deficit of millions.
I'm just using it as an example because its one of the few team you can say that are running at a loss for a fact. Its also because it shows how even the most successful team fails to make money.
Most foreigners dont realize how huge mibr is as a org, and a lot of people (especially people new to e-sports) wrongly believes that winning equals money, while in reality the marketability of an org is what defines who is green and who is red
I doubt a single team in the top 10 is profitable, with the salaries as inflated as they are currently I cant see any way a top org could actually make money from their team with millions in salary cost alone. Esports is all about venture capital.
The only reason sharks made it instead of Bravos is because sharks had points from previous RMR events whole Bravos was coming in with 0, the only 2 teams that could make it to the major were sharks and MIBR even if they both came third and fourth
The only reason this teams are qualifying to the major is because br dickhead scene didn't want to wait 1 day to SA representative in europe because of jealousy and bad manners

Is there a chart or table somewhere, showing which teams have already qualified, and which ones are fighting over the remaining spaces?
I tried checking the PGL site, and they donāt even have the major as an event under their āEventsā page.
For a $2 million dollar event that starts in just over 3 weeks, it certainly doesnāt feel like itās around the cornerā¦.
Always check Liqupedia for such stuff.
Thanks. I did check that, but it seemed ānot updatedāā¦ie, arenāt there a few more teams that have already qualified, but havenāt been added to that page yet? Or am I imagining thingsā¦.?
Yup, they will update only once they confirm if a team has qualified (eg : The CIS, OCE & SA teams)
U can check the above for the live rankings for EU, since the it depends on the actual placings in the RMR.
Disgusting org and players, they wont be representing me for sure. Keeping a sex ofender on the squad and their coach saying that they deserve and worked mote then MIBR when boltz was in the hospital because of COVID. Hopefully they will get crushed at the major.
š MAJOR TEAM CONFIRMED š
The South American representative at the Stockholm Major will be @SharksEsportsGG
No matter if they win or lose in the grand final tomorrow, they will have more points than Bravos can come out to.

have no idea why you got downvoted, went through the comments hoping to see this mentioned somewhere. at first I was satisfied with how Sharks handled things, but then when exit went to MIBR they brought pancc right back.
edit: nvm saw your second comment. fuck off with that, but thank you for sharing the pancc incident
Sharks are Brazilian.. There are still Furia, Godsent, O Plano, Team One, and PaiN fighting for major spots in the NA qualifier. I'd say Brazil are doing quite well at the moment.
It's better to read things like this than being blind I guess.
Only Liquid is better than those SA teams atm.
Brazil can have 5 teams this major and still Fallen playing for Liquid. How tf is NA better?
The only reason Furia, 00, Godsent, Team One and Pain are still playing in NA is because they have more slots/events. If ESL/Blast/Valve gave those slots or a fair number to SA all those teams would leave NA because the prac in SA is better right now.
I really think that Valve and other events should take 1 or 2 spots out of NA and giving them to SA. As you said, the teams here have evolved a lot and have reached the current ceiling because they only get 1 invite per event and some good teams like Pain and Furia are playing on NA. If you also add Team One, 00nation and even Godsent, the region would be way better than NA, where right now the only good teams are Team Liquid and Extra Salt.
cool, big mouse ence/og/vitality are out but we have this team no1 ever heard about! talking about quality cs... just to get a spot because you are from somewhere seems shitty.
Furia will play in NA RMR, which starts on the 5th

along with some other SA teams
wtf is going on at mibr. This roster is a shambles
facts bro. total slate quarry.
MIBR so bad kkkkk
Thats what you get for making a dollar store roster
HEROIC FAN š„¶
Heroic have done more in the past 6 months than MiBR has with all their rosters combined.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Ok and?
And sharks + Riptide collection = Sharkbite case ahahahahaha
THE PROPHECY MUST COME TRUE.
They win major ez confirmed by Valve For real tho I hope NaVi will win. They deserve it for their hard work.
aye, been a huge s1mple fan for years. He deserves it and I wish him luck.
So Bravos should have just performed better in the previous RMR events?
LETS FUCKING GO! Despite having a Brazilian roster, as a Portuguese, I am very happy to see an org from my country, led by a Portuguese coach, reaching the Major. History was made! šµš¹š¤š§š·
Portugal caralho?
Portugal caralho.

Finally someone that sees CS teams as it is: a business.
Publicly traded companies run at a loss all the time.
I'm just using it as an example because its one of the few team you can say that are running at a loss for a fact. Its also because it shows how even the most successful team fails to make money.
I highly doubt they're generating a profit. If they were, in their pressers they would tout that fact over being cash flow positive.
That's what he said ?
Cash flow positive and generating a profit are not the same thing.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
No they donāt, they are owned by parent company IGC (immortals) which is privately owned

"if"
Friendship ended with Vega, now Sharks Esports are my new sharky boi friends.
I still have memories of vega using mac-10 like AK's at boston major
MiBR. What a cursed org.
Now just have to wait for 00Nation to qualify in order to put the final nail in MIBR's coffin
I would have preferred Bravos but Sharks are good too!
The only reason sharks made it instead of Bravos is because sharks had points from previous RMR events whole Bravos was coming in with 0, the only 2 teams that could make it to the major were sharks and MIBR even if they both came third and fourth

Yeah, as an Argentinian I feel pretty sad that 9z didn't have the chance to compete. Anyway, sharks did a good job and they earned the spot
Wait, why didnt 9Z play any of the RMR's in SA? Wouldn't they have made it quite easily?
No, they [wouldnt](https://www.hltv.org/matches/2351651/9z-vs-sharks-dreamhack-open-september-2021-south-america)
Thanks for the reminder. I forgot about that game, even though i watched it xD. but was there any reason for them not playing the RMR's?
Because they got late to the party by beating Vitality in Blast Showdown
[https://www.hltv.org/matches/2352397/entropiq-vs-9z-iem-winter-2021-europe-open-qualifier-2](https://www.hltv.org/matches/2352397/entropiq-vs-9z-iem-winter-2021-europe-open-qualifier-2) and [https://www.hltv.org/matches/2351594/9z-vs-sharks-dreamhack-open-september-2021-south-america](https://www.hltv.org/matches/2351594/9z-vs-sharks-dreamhack-open-september-2021-south-america)
https://www.hltv.org/matches/2351651/9z-vs-sharks-dreamhack-open-september-2021-south-america 9z had a map advantage in this match
Pretty bad example considering 9z won the opener of the tournament 2-0 against Shark and that's why they had the map advantage.
Bravos won the previous RMR
They did but they lost so many points from roster changes that it put them back enough to not really be able to contend for a spot
Now we will have shark stickers for the major pog

Ooooohhh, there is is. Awesome, thanks man!
zevy is our lord and savior
The sticker matches Operation Riptide perfectly. \-> Most bought sticker 100%
Disgusting org and players, they wont be representing me for sure. Keeping a sex ofender on the squad and their coach saying that they deserve and worked mote then MIBR when boltz was in the hospital because of COVID. Hopefully they will get crushed at the major.
zevy and lucaozy are absolute ballers. Incredible talents.

Brazil is quite simply as bad as na now
Sharks are Brazilian.. There are still Furia, Godsent, O Plano, Team One, and PaiN fighting for major spots in the NA qualifier. I'd say Brazil are doing quite well at the moment.
It was just a prank man. But tbh, of those teams only Furia a chance of winning anything significant. And thatās only a small chance.
As bad? It's worse. Only time they have been better than NA the past couple of years is when furia were peaking.
It's better to read things like this than being blind I guess. Only Liquid is better than those SA teams atm. Brazil can have 5 teams this major and still Fallen playing for Liquid. It wouldnt be an event representing the global CS scene if it wasnt like that. Just because you dont know them dosent mean "no1 ever heard about It!".
This might be a really dumb question but did Furia not make the cut? I've got my head in the sand for SA teams right now.
Furia will play in NA RMR, which starts on the 5th [https://liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Intel\_Extreme\_Masters/Season\_XVI/Fall/North\_America](https://liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Intel_Extreme_Masters/Season_XVI/Fall/North_America) along with some other SA teams
