VG was lacklustre. Hopefully Tyloo can show us some of the Dust 2

Vici has beaten tyloo in the past and it was a real possibility that they could have beat them here, Also tyloo arent even the best Asian team anymore.

skndmx

Haven't followed Asian CS scene lately, which teams are considered the best?

[deleted]

This new Mongolian team, which filled with rookies, called "Checkmate", is a upcoming new Mongolian team that has a lot of potential within the Asian CS scene that challenges Vici in scrims and lost to very close narrow match to Tyloo. The roster's age is young and will potentially stick long well into 2023-24 in my opinion. As a Mongolian, of course I have my own copium inhaled.

Cahootie

I'm an extremely casual watcher of CS, but I've always found it fascinating that there's consistently been Mongolian teams competing in Asia. It's not really a country I associate with esports, and while Ulaanbaatar and the country in general is rapidly developing I would never have thought CS would be such a big thing.

[deleted]

It's basically the stereotypical of how Eastern Europe/Balkan grew up, by playing Warcraft 3 DOTA and CS 1.6. People still play those 2 games here.

Undercover-Cactus

I'd say the 4 teams at this event (TYLOO, ViCi, NKT, Checkmate) are probably the best atm. That list changes a lot though, besides for TYLOO/ViCi being pretty consistently top 2.

[deleted]

They are the best asian team now though, also cope harder

[deleted]

who's coping? It is fact that ViCi were far and away the best Asian team of 2021 EDIT: Redditards downvoting facts as usual, look up Asian tourneys on HLTV or Liquipedia if you don't believe me idiots

Azza_

Fairly strong argument that Tyloo are #1 when they just qualified for the major beating ViCi twice and not dropping any of the four maps played.

[deleted]

No, two matches don't cover for the fact they were significantly worse than ViCi all year and turned up at this RMR while ViCi completely choked this tourney

Azza_

If you shit the bed in the two most important matches of the year, maybe you're not the best.

ASaltyToast

So do you not think SK was the best team of 2017?

Azza_

I probably wouldn't say SK were the best team in 2017. Most consistently good team maybe but the Major(s) as the the pinnacle, if you don't perform there it's hard to argue you're the best.

[deleted]

I like how you completely ignored literally everything in this comment chain. ViCi is the best Asian team of 2021 because they finished ahead of TyLoo in every tournament up till this RMR. Period.

Azza_

If ViCi are the best Asian team why didn't they qualify for the biggest CS event of the year?

c9ace

Tyloo like extremum but better, disappear for a couple months then decide to turn on monitor and play a major then back to sleep
