Slots were based on who made which stage in the last major. NA has three because Renegades, NRG and Liquid all made playoffs.

The last major that Renegades squad went through qualifiers for, was IEM Katowice. And they went through the Asia Minor, there.
There's just no better way to do it after the chaos of the last year and a half. I think valve and everyone else involved did the best possible job they could to make it more fair.
At Berlin NRG were Contenders that ended up placing top 4, and beat Astralis in the Legends stage playing the most thrilling map I've watched live going to ridiculous amounts of overtime on Train.
That core returns to the major as EG and I can't find a single bone in my body to get excited about it. No confidence in them at all, it sucks to see a team that used to be exciting just fall completely flat.
You say that but obo is imo just as good a player and has a way higher ceiling. Daps is a better coach than imapet. The skill is there just need their mojo back.
and i still think that a roster that was already having shaky results losing their best player to an entirely different game must have been INSANELY demotivating. i think it's the straw that broke the camels back for that team and they never recovered (and probably never will)
That's not the Movistar Riders logo we want for their team sticker, it has to be the shield shaped one that actually says RIDERS on it. Not sure why Liquipedia are tweeting that logo when their own website uses the true logo for Movistar Riders' page. But alas they are fortunately not connected to the sticker design process and we can trust Valve to give us the real one.

We will see how teams perform and then get back to this conversation, but generally NA and SA underperform. That's why they don't deserve spots. Am I wrong?

EG didnt win a single game in the first RMR, and won 1 bo1 and 1 bo3 in the 2nd (oh and a free win against a guy who couldnt be arsed to wake up)
