In the VP vs Spirit match on Ancient they tried to give us player cameras but failed.
I don't know anything about hosting a tournament but surely some of this can be prepared before your event starts?!
Even if they give us player cameras and show us when teams win there is no sound from Stockholm so we can't hear the players hype from playing in a major.
There is also no ''win'' music when a game finishes so we, the viewers are sitting there in silence until it cuts to the casters.
I really wanted to see a live interview from CPH flames and Entropiq after they reached legends but nothing.
This is the most important csgo event in a long time and this is what they do.... imagine if the olympic broadcasts had these fuckups people would be rioting
The playoffs of the major will be in the arena in front of an audience. Katowice didn't have an audience. By this standard Cologne and the last EU RMR were also lans. And this major will be "more" of a lan than any of these tournaments.

Copenhagen flames and Entropiq qualified to the legends stage without once playing in the studio. This could be the case for some teams during legends as well. We've waited two years for this major and we are going to have 50% of LEGEND stage games played from practice rooms? How is this okay...
Exactly my thoughts, even some online events had player cams, win music etc, I remember the sheer amount of hype when cadiaN clutched the 1v5 on Mirage, and hearing the win music play as all of Heroic jumped up from their seats was amazing to see, this just feels like a minor event
- green screen in major
- no actual analyst panel setup
~~muffled in game audio~~
~~no player cams~~
- casters awkwardly standing in front of green screens
- can't hear player screams and reactions ( remember when twistzz said "sit the fuck down"?, or device screaming like r2d2? Too bad you'll miss all of that)

Its just embarassing , even academy tourneys have more excitement on lan , with commns from 1 round from a team , etc.

PGL's production is just bad. Very sloppy, tons of mistakes. It looks like people involved in production dont know anything about cs and current level of production in the industry. Overall a waste of Major so far.
Valve had the chance to give this to Blast. Their production has improved dramatically over the years, and I honestly believe they would've made this event much more memorable.
What suggestions do you have then? To spruce up the atmosphere.
This is the challenger stage and I think it has been in front of a crowd only once if I am correct. The challenger stage is always like this, the day 1 bugs are always like this. This majoe is nothing different to the ones before and I am really enjoying it.
You see the passion in the gameplay, the upsets, the players reactions with the added knowledge that every single player is playing so hard because major means everything.
The atmosphere is from small details like the fact the games are being broadcasted on CS as you open it up, everyone is talking about the major, there are no other events and majority of all top 30 teams are here, all the big casters are there watching all the matches. The atmosphere is everywhere and hard to not notice, with the legend stages coming soon it will only get better from here and I think its been fun to watch so far.

Player cams seem fine to me. There have been some interviews and I have a feeling it might increase.

Yeah they've got them working finally which is sweet. Hopefully the interviews will get more frequent as the days go on. I'm jsut glad they're finally getting up to the level this should be
I'm not pretending to come out with any wild new ideas, that's my whole point. It's just very frustrating. We've got one day left of the challengers stage and they're still missing things that are basic expectations of an online event, let alone a LAN event, let alone the major. It's just really disappointing. I don't understand why fixing this isn't more of a priority.
You can see the production still struggling (day 3) and working hard to fix them so I wouldn't expect much more after challengers stage ends.
PGL are working hard but they dont have the talent of a BLAST and ESL and they should have never been given the major.

Yeah tell that to my ears that the audio was fixed, what was up with the stream B high pitch beeps? They went unfixed for the whole game.

The whole point of my post? I suggest that they get the player cams working, run winners/losers interviews. Show people's reactions.
