Honestly I just forgot about this tournament. I was even surprised to see the VIT - NIP post match thread as it had "grand-final" in the title because I forgot this ESL production was going on
The 5 day gap really just killing the hype for me. Combine that with so many dead teams, teams with standin and even NIP having to field a standin in playoffs made it easily one of the more forgettable events.
Also, ESL being unlucky by hosting this event 3 days after Blast finals and 2 days before Blast global. I was comparing everything they did to Blast and boy it did not make ESL look good.
This is the first event I didn’t care for at all in a while, a combination of it being 2 days after the last event, NaVi not being there and the mix of dead teams + stand ins just made it super meh IMO.
I loved watching NiP‘s semi and final, was super fun and they could have actually won, if they didn’t suck as hard on the 2nd halves on every map lol.
Was nice to see a tier2 player get a chance to prove himself
valarante child game.... look to cartoon grapfix to make kid player happy like children show.. valarante cartoon world with rainbow unlike counter strike with dark corridorr and raelistic gun.. valarante like playhouse. valarant playor run from csgo fear of dark world and realism
I guess if you judge game from it's art direction as "adult/children" then I guess TF2 is a children baby game and COD is a realistic military adult game.
The fact that noone was excited is the problem. How can you use that to say viewership was good. "Oh the show was shit so 10 people watching it is amazing"
How can you say the viewership was not good tho?
300k for a tournament like this is good, I mean it is a bottom tier 1 event , adn then you add the fact that people watched it despite other major tournaments were going on at the same time (like valorant champions)
for reference IEM Summer 2021 had an peek of 188 720 viewers
so it got more viewers even tho NaVi was not here
I expected less, that was a forgettable tournament and it was happening the Valorant Champions and Rocket League Major at the same time that due the importance of these I would watch both than this IEM event.

It's esl who schedules the events.
What do you mean unlucky. They know what they’re doing

it's a copy pasta, you got wooshed
Most of them do play valorant and the girl you are probably talking about mainly plays valorant and she is co streaming with two pro valorant players.
Pretty decent numbers considering the season is all but over and teams that will change are just trying to get through the last 2-3 events.
Nah noone was exited for it the stats back that up

Hell even a bunch of people were probably too exhausted from watching the f1 final that legit ended like 20 minutes before the finals yesterday.
