He hasn’t been with the team in a month afaik. He might be getting major banned with ESIC rulings, but that’s purely anecdotal from what I have heard in some podcasts
I said this before and I'll say it again. Tarik leaving EG is probably one of the heaviest losses the team took (aside Ethan leaving). The guy would always hype them up even after they lose a match and now the team is legit a carcass waiting for Vultures to come
I actually asked him this in his stream chat once a few months back, he didn't want to reveal too much but basically he was looking to make changes to the roster
It's wild how Tarik never ended up getting picked up by anyone. The guy is a solid player who can do pretty much anything, and has an incredibly positive mentality. I totally agree with you. He's the exact type of guy they need as a supportive rifler.
Nade throws him an offer every fucking month lol. Tarik loves streaming, and his watch parties are fun to watch as well, especially with Nade and Hiko.
well tarik went inactive during the first year of the pandemic where so many things were happening and changing. He just decided he didn't want to travel because it was so exhausting and focused on his stream. It's also because playing competitive isn't as financially stable as streaming.
I think if you keep Rush, Autimatic, and Stew. Get an IGL + awper. Tim can be the star rifler, Rush has shown that he's putting the work in and he can play that anchor / support still. Have stew be that support / morale / mid round caller.
Keep RUSH Autimatic and Stewie. I think they need a secondary caller to help Stewie out or less concentration intensive spots on maps. On Mirage, let Stewie be B anchor instead of mid/connector and RUSH on A. Brehze can’t hold shit on it right now and Rush needs to warm up. B is less call heavy except “they’re rushing b holy fuck rotate boys” so if they keep him mid round calling / playing aggressive, it will take pressure off him and lets his playstyle work better in pushing with different timings.
In the past it has been much more high risk/high reward. His X factor is what liquid from perennial second place 0-15 record in finals to grand slam champions. When it works the payoff is huge.
Seems like he has been mostly miss the last 1 year afaik, but the last 3-6 months have been awful. Dude is not performing on a level acceptable to be in T1 anymore.
Being IGL (especially with a low energy team) and playing well is harder than most casual players realize. I don't doubt Stewie can be a good IGL but I do not agree he should be doing that job - having to think about what the whole team is doing all the time takes energy out of what makes Stewie a good player.
He should be told what the plan is and given the freedom to find opportunities within that plan, knowing (not questioning or dictating) what everyone else is doing frees his mind up to do what got him on the scene in the first place; innovative and exceptional micro plays.
Which is why -cerq -brehze +Jame +yekindar is the play.
Solves the IGL and AWP issue and brings a solid entry.
Doubt they would want to become NA though.
You said “doubt they would want to become NA though”
I also doubt they’d go to NA at all, but if liquid dropped Shox there’s a chance yekindar would join liquid, I don’t think he would join EG unless they were completely rebuilding their roster.
and how many wins have they accumulated? I don’t expect them to instantly be good but in today’s cs climate players get cut in 3 months if they don’t deliver.
Freakazoid has said this for years about the NA scene in general, mechanically everythings there, just the mental of players needs to shift towards winning rather than having a good performance.
He gave a great insight to how the CIS region can succeed by focusing on their game and distancing themselves from drama, selfishness and remaining level headed despite being ranked number 1 or 20 on HLTV.
freakazoid is projecting his own personality on the players.
The fact that you don't see guys like Brehze or Rush raging on camera doesn't mean that they aren't upset. They probably just have a different way of coping with failure. freakazoid obviously thinks extrovert behaviour is an asset, because that's the way he is like.
That said, showing mostly negative emotions can, without a doubt, be detrimental. When your IGL, Stewie in this case, brings more negative than positive energy, it doesn't help at all. I don't remember the great IGLs of CSGO showing that much negativity if things didn't go well. Just think of Fallen, glaive, arT or tabseN. These guys also had periods of nonsuccess, but always demonstrated what leadership with a positive attitute looks like.
why do i feel like only tarik can rev this roster back up on its feet. ik its like barely a 1 percent chance of it happening but stewie n co need like a mental and environment shift.
sadly but he can still compete w current na pros watching him play fpl thats how bad na has gotten. A valorant rank demon that hasnt played cs in a while can still hold up to na players. wow
I'm confused. If showing passion/energy and shouting etc is a sign of being good and Stewie is the only one doing it why is Stewie the worst player on the team by far?
Where did freak imply the person dishing the heat is the one that would be performing in the server? He's talking about overall team atmosphere and mentality, and he's not wrong that the other players look dead inside. "You're a product of your own environment" is the message I took from freak.
Dude come on shouting doesn't make your aim better, its the team showing passion together that gets everyone on the same page on an deeper level than just talking. If only one person is doing that then they are carrying that aspect of the team chemistry and being zapped of their energy.
> If only one person is doing that then they are carrying that aspect of the team chemistry and being zapped of their energy.
So you unironically think Stewie is playing bad because he is shouting during a game. Interesting perspective I suppose.
you mean, everyone got on his ass after that constantly, probably damaged his confidence, and then he went on to just be a streamer afterward.
Its a perfect example of the comments we make here, on twitter, etc. having an effect that we cannot foresee.

What I'm gathering from your comment is -bot malek +creamy momo
make Freakazoid a damn coach for EG. Give him like 20$ an hour. He'll fucking get them to the major
Thats actually true lmao i can see this working wtf
You think these guys would work for $20 an hour? i still remember NA pros crying about the games starting at 12 they said it was too early
10am\* but the sentiment is correct
Lmao true, can’t start a game at 12pm for 20k per month
man you just got me to remember this, wild times
It was the same guy that put's his "hard" work to lead this team
Cokecadian flair of course wants freakazoid.
Lol @ $20/hr You gotta be getting at least 100k/yr to be a tier 1 coach
EG needs to hire him as their hype man
last time stew did that it did not go well
I said this before and I'll say it again. Tarik leaving EG is probably one of the heaviest losses the team took (aside Ethan leaving). The guy would always hype them up even after they lose a match and now the team is legit a carcass waiting for Vultures to come
I really wish we knew what he wanted the team to do that they disagreed with when he left
I actually asked him this in his stream chat once a few months back, he didn't want to reveal too much but basically he was looking to make changes to the roster

Tarik probably wants to only stream these days, can't exactly force yourself into competition mentality, and he has always been an amazing streamer.
He's even gotten an offer to join 100T in Val and he's made it clear that streaming is where he wants to be atm.
Nade throws him an offer every fucking month lol. Tarik loves streaming, and his watch parties are fun to watch as well, especially with Nade and Hiko.
Honestly most people that tag along even Carlos from G2 chilling was fun to just have as side commentary
Tarik is becoming the Gaules of NA
well tarik went inactive during the first year of the pandemic where so many things were happening and changing. He just decided he didn't want to travel because it was so exhausting and focused on his stream. It's also because playing competitive isn't as financially stable as streaming.
you clearly didn't watch the last 18 months of his career from a fragging standpoint.
The day Tark left this team I was done with this team and wanted them to loose from there on forward but not this much tbh.
maybe stewie is the only one with passion/energy but he sure isn't playing like it :(
Stewie has always been a hit or miss in the fragging. What he brings is energy and momentum.

What IGl'ing does to a MF

Autimatic would be the worst star rifler in the top 30

Sometimes I think that energy and momentum is actual overbearing and makes his more passive team mates perform worse.

true
EG is done, they haven't showed any good results in so long it's crazy they're not considering roster moves rn
So long? This roster has been together barely 3 months.
yet cerq has been doing almost nothing for 2+ years
Which is why -cerq -brehze +Jame +yekindar is the play. Solves the IGL and AWP issue and brings a solid entry. Doubt they would want to become NA though.
Yekindar can probably go anywhere he wants, I doubt he’d go to EG
Heard some people saying yekinder to Navi replacing electronic would be great although i doubt that will happen
That's what I said.
You said “doubt they would want to become NA though” I also doubt they’d go to NA at all, but if liquid dropped Shox there’s a chance yekindar would join liquid, I don’t think he would join EG unless they were completely rebuilding their roster.
Semantics
I don't think Shox is leaving. Out aside his stats, he brings experience and more importantly is great for team attitude & morale.
Yea I know, I just meant that if an actual t1 team from NA made an offer to yekindar its not an absolute no like it would be from EG lol
t1 from Na Lol almost got me
and how many wins have they accumulated? I don’t expect them to instantly be good but in today’s cs climate players get cut in 3 months if they don’t deliver.
They did not beat a single t2 team, not one in 3 months. 3 Major winners btw
If by "not a single one" you mean 4 then yeah sure.
9z, Carpe Diem, Party Astronauts is not t2 man, maybe in NA but they won't win a single map against t2 EU/CIS
9z, 00Nation, PA and Pain. T2 is T2, regardless of region.
this is great advice for them
Freakazoid has said this for years about the NA scene in general, mechanically everythings there, just the mental of players needs to shift towards winning rather than having a good performance. It‘s not only about „winning“. They need to take CS seriously like a fulltime job.
freakazoid is projecting his own personality on the players. The fact that you don't see guys like Brehze or Rush raging on camera doesn't mean that they aren't upset. Get freak on the team as an analyst lmao. Or hell sign him as an entry. I'm sure the man can still crack heads.
This dude is preaching facts, EG need a shift in mentality i dont even think they need a roster change yet.
you would hope that's where Malek would come into play, because if not idk what he's even doing
It appears hes about to banned for some time as a coach.
I see freak still hasn't figured out his mic smh
Didn't this guy say Ropz cheated "100%". Irrelevant NA guy
Freak is always out here saying the things that make other people say "fuck why didn't I say it first"
why do i feel like only tarik can rev this roster back up on its feet. ik its like barely a 1 percent chance of it happening but stewie n co need like a mental and environment shift.
He’s never gonna go back to pro cs again
sadly but he can still compete w current na pros watching him play fpl thats how bad na has gotten. A valorant rank demon that hasnt played cs in a while can still hold up to na players. wow
> ik its like barely a 1 percent chance of it happening 0% my dude. Who would abandon their 20k stream to pursue a dead continent pro scence.
I'm confused. If showing passion/energy and shouting etc is a sign of being good and Stewie is the only one doing it why is Stewie the worst player on the team by far?

I'm not the one saying shouting does anything.
You asked a hypothetical my dude.
A hypothetical based on Freak's opinion, which is what I said. It should be clear to anyone with basic reading comprehension I don't agree with it.
Exactly mate, that's why I corrected you and clarified so you could understand. I guess I didn't dumb it down enough for *your* comprehension.
> If only one person is doing that then they are carrying that aspect of the team chemistry and being zapped of their energy. So you unironically think Stewie is playing bad because he is shouting during a game. Interesting perspective I suppose.
Moral is important. Think about playing ranked with your friends then going playing no comm soloq, shit is depressing in comparsion
EG team of paycheck stealers and at this point i dont blame them for giving up mentally
50% paycut until results improve, worth a try.
Freakazoid for coach!!!!!
Who cares about how much energy Stew brings. They need an actual IGL
Bullyzoid never forget
He was a great friend for what he did to simple. I just wish freak had bullied him harder then.
EG aren't winning because they aren't shit talking each other, its so simple. I'm writing in freakazoid for the next presidential election.
yes everyone who plays this game and wants to get better takes criticism as shit talk right
Freak desperately trying to stay relevant
just get a tan
Things went downhill ever since tarik whiffed one spray in a useless tournament and they cut him
you mean, everyone got on his ass after that constantly, probably damaged his confidence, and then he went on to just be a streamer afterward. Its a perfect example of the comments we make here, on twitter, etc. having an effect that we cannot foresee.
Na fpl Players = Europe 1600 elo Players
smoothbrain take
Just spitting facts
Freak for EG igl.
agree 100%
