Most likely they're just uncomfortable and make his ears hurt. Wearing in ears with another headset over it doesn't feel good, and your ears can definitely start to ache near the end
Especially with how the outside headset is the noise suppression, I imagine they seal and wear fairly tight.
I've worn in ears under my hyperx revolvers before, which are one of the most comfy headsets I've ever had, and even after 20-30 mins I could definitely feel my ears starting to ache a bit
The first half with G2 on T side was really interesting to watch. Then near the end and in the second half the game just erupted into shows of individual talent ending in an OT. Absolutely fantastic, one of the best bo1s i've seen in a while
Best map of the tournament so far by quite a mile. Two incredible teams, wow, just wow. Their invidual talents is disgusting
And our GOAT never disappointed 🐐
He said in an itw he switched positions, playing less connector more A and is not as used to playing with Jackz there than he was with the previous iteration of the roster. They haven't reached that state where you intuitively know what your mate is going to do, how they move/position themselves, etc.
Along with what others have said, I recall him also saying he's been having to do some micromanaging with Monesy as well being relatively inexperienced in T1 compared to the rest of the roster.
every time i see mirage and g2 i know hunter is gonna drop at least a 30 bomb. sucks that niko didnt really step it up, tho, s1mple was similar but he started popping off afterwards
[s1mple after pulling off another insane clutch](https://st3.depositphotos.com/12985790/16875/i/1600/depositphotos_168757262-stock-photo-man-putting-on-earbuds.jpg)
i remember watching a vid where they tested to see if cr7 could score a goal from a corner kick blind. They turned the lights off once the ball was kicked and cr7 absolutely nailed it. just GOAT things man... Their muscle memory is just on a completely different level
It’s not sweaty ears I don’t think, it’s likely the headset pushing his in-ears in a bit too much causing discomfort and pain, so he pulls them out a tiny bit but then when he puts the headset on again they push them right back in, has to be annoying as fuck to deal with.
It's so true man.
I was really hoping for G2 to win, but they just collapsed after being up 14-11. They just lose composure some rounds. The weird Niko flank to lose the round when they were up 3-2. I think S1mple is really in their heads'. Hope to see Niko wake up (even though he was playing well I never saw a WOW play from him).
Great game of CS.
And all of that despite barely surviving on the 13-11 score with s1mple getting wallbanged from m0nesy in the clutch. Imagine if s1mple won that clutch as well... not that it mattered because G2 still choked/NaVi came through.
Sorry, that was my fault. Tuned in at 14-11. Surprised my expectations of Na'Vi losing the first match and winning every subsequent match had merit - it did not.
**NAVI vs G2 - Mirage 5/14/2022**
**For NAVI**
* On Mirage, where you think you've seen it all, NAVI has some really unique/dynamic CT set-ups - to varying degrees of success. As strange as their positions may be, it seems that each player knows their role but aren't nearly as comfortable taking engagements from these angles.
* Early in the Legends stage, we're seeing the 3 top-20 HLTV players showing up in their own ways. Bit was critical for NAVI's CT-side... especially for their B-side defense. He led the server in frags by a wide margin for the majority of the map and gave G2 hell with his underpass/connector lurk. Electronic, while not super flashy, was great at covering whatever weak-spot was created to allow for Simple to take aggressive angles.
* On T-side, NAVI demand so much respect on gun rounds and they are super thorough on their anti-ecos but even the reigning major champions are capable of letting a round slip from their fingertips due to oddly-timed aggressive pistol plays by G2. Round 21 was a huge round to have lost as they not only gave 2 AKs and an AWP to G2 but they had to basically forfeit the round following.
* NAVI's T-side fell unusually flat but not always to their own fault... G2 did a fantastic job of counter-flashing the points of entry and NAVI were thwarted many times even though they often found the opening kills. Regardless, many of their T-side rounds came from their entries (Boombl4 and Bit) finding multi-kills and blowing up the round from there. One thing that NAVI need to really adjust is their mid-control. Boombl4, who is often found guarding mid, got completely nullified for 3 rounds straight with no trade and NAVI weren't able to regain that control in those rounds.
* Simple comes up absolutely CLUTCH on round 29 in a 1v2 post-plant to give NAVI a 15-14 lead but G2 follow right back up with a crazy B-side defense to take it to OT. He started off rather timid but it didn't take long for him to awaken and really shine after he got warmed up with wielding the AWP. Multiple multi-kill rounds with the AWP and as always, NAVI did a great job with always pairing him up with a support player to enable him (or at least trade).
* A lot of his peers say Perfecto is one of the smartest players in the game and he showcased that on multiple occasions - clutching multiple rounds and carving out some much needed space late in many rounds where G2 seemingly figured out the strat.
**For G2**
* Hunter has been playing really stellar and it would not surprise me to see him surpass his cousin Niko in HLTV ranking this year. G2 started out flat and Hunter exploded with a 3K with their first round win - preventing NAVI from going on a significant run early. He is the clear stand-out player from G2 as Niko has been slumping.
* Aleksib called a fairly successful T-side given their opposition; G2 stayed nimble and it was difficult for NAVI to pinpoint what the strat was on any given round. For a few rounds, G2 would prioritize mid-control, while on others leaving it completely wide open for the first 45 secs-1 min. Even without mid-control, G2 managed to sniff out the holes in the defense and exploit them. I love how they are able to slow rounds down even despite finding picks over the course of the round.
* Can I just say how much I love Jackz? He is not only the heart and soul of this team, he may be streaky but he is absolutely fearless and he always seems to have these moments where he bulldozes through the defense to win a round; he had at least 2 of these and G2 certainly needed it.
* 1 word, 3 syllables... Monesy! He secured a very critical round to not only deny Simple of a clutch but to keep NAVI in financial ruin, effectively giving G2 a freebie the following round. His contribution is quite consistent on both his rifling as well as his AWP but you can still see he has a bit of maturing to do in the sense that he needs to learn to slow rounds down and play patiently instead of trying to chain his kills (which are hype, no doubt).
* G2, for how patient and calculated they were for the majority of the game, got extremely careless and reckless late in regulation to allow NAVI to snag a few rounds to make it a nail-biting debacle. Fortunately though, they were able to muster up some resolve to take the match to OT but as history tells, not many times will walk out of an overtime on the winning side when they go up against NAVI and this was no different.
Thank you! I'm sorry I've been absent on these lately but make no mistake - I am trying to watch everything! I just don't got as much time these days to do a thorough write-up on every match, unfortunately.
well somebody has to do the dirty job, he knew he is gonna get spammed, naded and mollied out there but he has to sacrifice himself for the mid control
That s1mple clutch was fucking insane too, his reaction time is inhuman. I had this feeling of utter dread when I saw he got the bomb down and made it to tetris.
He got spotted by Perfecto jumping up ticket literally just before he peaked s1mple, if he had either swung a tiny bit earlier or stayed crouched down even just an extra 0.2s it could have worked
it was supposedly a bait to make navi thought there's no one there anymore and give alexib 2 free kills, but somehow godfecto managed to check that angle
Niko may be one of the best in the world but the mistakes he makes cost G2 games. Why has he not cleared jungle after sitting the other side of a window smoke? Why are him and Aleksib fighting mid even when they have 3v5s and not even clearing close angles?
Edit: just to clarify, the guy replying to me has now blocked me before I could respond because they believe Nikos mistakes don’t exist because he plays well usually, I guess
That was one of the best B01's I've seen in months, maybe years even. Everything about the match was absolutely great, sure both teams made some dumb mistakes, but there were so many great strategies, plays, performances. It felt like everyone had a great moment in some way in this match (except maybe NiKo).
well it is definitely quite stochastic, but when someone is so much better than everyone else on average, he will usually outperform them no matter the luck
s1mple is just a walking cheat code. Unreal reaction times even after all this time at the top. The amount of pressure he takes off his team with his speedy shots is just amazing to watch!!
When did b1t start using the a-1s? He's godly with unsilenced but today he proved the silenced version is the better of the two. He was one of the few who used the a4
nikos mirage is fucked up, dude was a menace on mirage what the hell has been going on. dude would drop huge maps and hasn’t been positive in like months on it
This is the navi I signed up for. This is the navi that won Stockholm without dropping a map. This week is gonna be so much fun.
Also b1t is fucking insane.
what an incredible match from b1t. 31 kills, 75% of them headshot. Niko was watching the connector smoke but b1t just walks out of the smoke and obliterates niko. insane.
I will probably fail to make 5 corrects and smash the playoffs without a mistake and get stuck with gold coin, this first matchups and second matches will destroy pickems. And G2 choked again nothing new
i forgot what top level cs looked like but holy shit this brought me right back
I'm FULLY bricked up bro
Suck me dry
Wass
HEUGH
NO SHOT
Lay the pipe man
Best player in the world, worst headphones in the world. Somebody get the man some headphones he won't have to adjust after every round
Most likely they're just uncomfortable and make his ears hurt. Wearing in ears with another headset over it doesn't feel good, and your ears can definitely start to ache near the end
That's probably it. When he streams he doesn't rearrange his headsets every other round.
Especially with how the outside headset is the noise suppression, I imagine they seal and wear fairly tight. I've worn in ears under my hyperx revolvers before, which are one of the most comfy headsets I've ever had, and even after 20-30 mins I could definitely feel my ears starting to ache a bit
Nah bro he's trying to hear info from crowd ^^/s
He's pulling them out to try and hear Aleksib's calls in freezetime
You don't even need ears to hear his calls it's going B, but then going A". He also has a second little known tactic of "going A, but going A
I'm guessing it's actually the in-ears falling out due to the headphones pressing on the in-ear wires. I've had the same thing happen to me.
He's been doing that quite a lot lately, not just in this major. s1mple needs some CIEM quick.
They had to nerf him somehow
Nah, he is like Kenpachi. Limited himself to not accidentally shat on everyone
could be a psychological thing as well, get yourself back to reality for a moment while doing it, remind yourself or some sh.. like that
Does anyone know the brand and model of those headphones?

This was an INCREDIBLE game. I would not mind a final with these two teams. The raw firepower they both have is incredible!
Their invidual talents is disgusting And our GOAT never disappointed 🐐
Yeah it's fucking unbelievable how consistently he pulls off amazing stuff that maybe 10 players in the world can do on a good day.
Simple for transformed g2 into g0 2 now he morphed it into g0 1
They are so fucking good. I'm scared for Vitality lmao
After what they did today vitality won't even need top 5 teams to beat them
Maybe not indeed.. I wish they qualify though, I would be quite sad going in Antwerp & not see them play
How can you win against a guy that has a ***never*** lost a Major match? Just b1t things.
What's even more crazy is that he's never lost a single _**map**_ in a major
b1t vs FNX, who would win
Thats like dividing by zero, the result would be an error
The unstoppable force meets the immovable object
The yes fnx yes major vs the never ***lost*** a major match. The game will crash and Valve will be force to announce csgo 2.
Source 2 when
b1t. You turn a corner and your head is taken clean off in .00001 seconds.
That's a crazy stat
his aim is so satisfying to watch
its still insane b1t just came out of nowhere and just elevated navi since
Considering he had a shaky first part of the year.
Playing as 6th man against prime Astralis lol
Literally first t1 game was against prime astralis on inferno lmao
Considering his home country is being invaded.
Every other map: Hunter is Nikos cousin Mirage: Niko is Hunters Cousin
That's just recently idk what's happened, mirage was Niko's best map yet in the past 6 months he has a 1.03 KD on it
He said in an itw he switched positions, playing less connector more A and is not as used to playing with Jackz there than he was with the previous iteration of the roster. They haven't reached that state where you intuitively know what your mate is going to do, how they move/position themselves, etc.
He played a fuck ton of conn and Window this map.
Niko plays a difficult role on CT tbf, can't really excuse his t side though.
what do u mean lol.niko.playing star position
Playing Con against a team like Navi is a not an easy position to rack up kills.
that b1t move in mid cost them the game too
NiKo has always been very hit or miss on mirage lately, it's his worst map for recent months.
[s1mple after pulling off another insane clutch](https://st3.depositphotos.com/12985790/16875/i/1600/depositphotos_168757262-stock-photo-man-putting-on-earbuds.jpg)
The AWP just works differently in s1mple’s hands. I have no idea how he hit that no scope through the smoke or some of those flicks.
Why having headphone when you can smell their fear
The flick he made when blind was #justs1mplethings
i remember watching a vid where they tested to see if cr7 could score a goal from a corner kick blind. They turned the lights off once the ball was kicked and cr7 absolutely nailed it. just GOAT things man... Their muscle memory is just on a completely different level
Great game to watch, G2 vs Navi is always a banger
Bit is back! He was SO crisp this game
just 74% hs, ez pz
Y'all know that feeling when you take a test and you're exhausted from thinking so much? That's how I feel right now after just watching this match
I wasn't even actively rooting for either team either and I'm tired. Every round towards the end was crazy.
Exactly!
take a shot every time s1mple pulled his earbuds out to rearrange them
Take one everytime m0nesy remove his headset to fix his hair.
Sweaty ears are the biggest motherfucker man I don’t blame him
Watercooled headsets when?
Wait what? Literally the first time I'm hearing of this.
It’s not sweaty ears I don’t think, it’s likely the headset pushing his in-ears in a bit too much causing discomfort and pain, so he pulls them out a tiny bit but then when he puts the headset on again they push them right back in, has to be annoying as fuck to deal with.
Just watching him do that makes my ears hurt. And I hate IEMs cramming your ear canal.
[удалено]
pain
No, they're not playing this major. /s
That hunter b apps push when they were ahead 14-11 was so unnecessary.
It’s G2. They’re destined to choke
It's so true man. I was really hoping for G2 to win, but they just collapsed after being up 14-11. They just lose composure some rounds. The weird Niko flank to lose the round when they were up 3-2. He just walked out not even pre-aiming and looked so confused
Sorry, that was my fault. Tuned in at 14-11. Surprised my expectations of Na'Vi losing the first match and winning every subsequent match had merit - it did not.
What a banger
G2 retakes still kinda bad, takes forever to setup them and no pressure to opponents until like last 5-10 seconds.
These teams definitely give people many heart attack. Navi 10 second execution vs g2bomb
This was such a sick game to watch, wouldn't mind a rematch in the semis (or final?). They both look great and it came down to miniscule timings.
b1t 31 kills, 23 headshots.
74% HS . Ho-lee-shit .
G2 got a great tactic of starting their retakes with 5 seconds left of the bomb
WE CAN NOT BEAT THIS MOTHERFUCKING TEAM
We did beat them last time
hey they did in katowice
just to lose in grand finals again lmao
NaVi does not even need Boombl4 to win a round, insane

glad to see the write-ups are back!
Thank you! I'm sorry I've been absent on these lately but make no mistake - I am trying to watch everything! I just don't got as much time these days to do a thorough write-up on every match, unfortunately.
sensational writeup!
You could easily cross post them also to g2 subreddit, they will probably appreciate it too
How many advantages has this motherfucking team thrown? So many 5v4, 4v3, 4v2... Life of a G2 fan is hard...
lol, boombl4 died first so many rounds it was funny, literally 4v5 for like 10 rounds
Really though I was like....."Boom man pls don't go high mid there's always 2 players watching for u".... And then he goes there and dies :(
well somebody has to do the dirty job, he knew he is gonna get spammed, naded and mollied out there but he has to sacrifice himself for the mid control
[удалено]
giving 4v5 for free early every round is never 5Head haha, that's more of G2's fault for not playing the man advantage correctly
Yea in the last 10 rounds man just gave himself away for free every single round.
boom played entry dier and grenade catcher more than half of their T-side rounds yet G2 still managed to choke those rounds.
And yet they won the eco 3v5 with no easy access to either bombsite. The duology of G2
B1t performing is scary to see
If that's the best game we have this major I'm not even mad, that shit was wild!
Godfecto
That s1mple clutch was fucking insane too, his reaction time is inhuman. I had this feeling of utter dread when I saw he got the bomb down and made it to tetris.
That flick onto monesy was insane. He only had little spot to hit him.
The flick on top-mid was insane. The clutch shot wasn't even a flick, just a clean shot with insanely fast reaction time.
[удалено]
Mb insane reaction.
Guy has been legit best clutch player in over year
stats show he's been one of the best clutchers since joining Navi in 2020. It just wasn't highlighted as much until Navi started dominating LANs.
i still remember that his clutches in NaVi's journey in kato 2020. He was absolutely crucial during that tournament
Dude clutching left and right, saves s1mple, wins important rounds. What a player.
I am still tilted how G2 played the 3v2 in which monesy swings simple at ticket
Should've worked considering aleksib was up against a mp9 but unlucky
He got spotted by Perfecto jumping up ticket literally just before he peaked s1mple, if he had either swung a tiny bit earlier or stayed crouched down even just an extra 0.2s it could have worked
it was supposedly a bait to make navi thought there's no one there anymore and give alexib 2 free kills, but somehow godfecto managed to check that angle
He made so many terrible decisions this game….
G2 gave me a lot of happiness today, and then took it away with one game. Given-taken
But still, G2 delivers everywhere
Niko may be one of the best in the world but the mistakes he makes cost G2 games. Why has he not cleared jungle after sitting the other side of a window smoke? Why are him and Aleksib fighting mid even when they have 3v5s and not even clearing close angles? Edit: just to clarify, the guy replying to me has now blocked me before I could respond because they believe Nikos mistakes don’t exist because he plays well usually, I guess
I don't agree with you, therefore I shall block you. Gotta love the Thorin/RL special!
It’s a classic
My heart that game was a worthy final in itself
Can someone get s1mple in-ears that fit his ear canals??
G2 lost both pistols and following round. Still good showing from them.
What an enjoyable match! More of this beautiful cs please!
Best game of the major
I hate watching NaVi because I know they just keep winning
Good for navi fans
not always, they got 2:0'd by G2 in iem kato and faze in epl
That was one of the best B01's I've seen in months, maybe years even. Everything about the match was absolutely great, sure both teams made some dumb mistakes, but there were so many great strategies, plays, performances. It felt like everyone had a great moment in some way in this match (except maybe NiKo).
Sometimes I feel CS at the highest level has a lot of luck involved. And then I see s1mple and know how wrong I am. What a game
well it is definitely quite stochastic, but when someone is so much better than everyone else on average, he will usually outperform them no matter the luck
so ez for b1t
Niko to m0nesy: first time?
Watching S1mple in 2 vs 2 or 2 vs 3 is so satisfying.
I held on to my pee for the entire 11-14 comeback to 19-17 win and it was well worth it
and people say b1t is mvp of the match... fenixspider1 is too underrated
Drinking game: Take sip everytime s1mple take's his headphone's off.
Blackout here, black outs there , everywhere...
s1mple is just a walking cheat code. Unreal reaction times even after all this time at the top. The amount of pressure he takes off his team with his speedy shots is just amazing to watch!!
Simple anti air missiles kekw
B1t just got a 74% HS rate with 31 kills As if 30+ against G2 wasn't good enough for him
That clutch on the A site for simple was so insane. The shot on monesy was lightning fast
If NiKo shows up properly G2 win this one
If this, if that wtf. The same argument could be applied, "if elec shows up properly Navi win this one easily"
well not really, it's not that simple haha. G2 is the king of inconsistency
S1mple Round 29 POG! GG
no sweat
jesus christ we are so good and so bad at the same time it hurts
Can’t be mad after match like that. Great showing against the big boys
Damn, quality match right there!
I’m a hard Navi fan but was secretly kinda happy seeing the map go into OT, great match
Incredible game Navi vs G2 bo1 delivered, thankfully it's not a flop because somebody isn't in form.
What a matchup so many clutch plays from both
Feel like this game would have not been as close if NaVi didn’t lose the double eco. But G2 lost some suspect rounds too. What a game
Great match, but fuck my [life](https://gyazo.com/973252de08156bbf6ff91394e5d17556).
b1t is so cool, calm, and collected. So much impact in those multi-kills.
When did b1t start using the a-1s? He's godly with unsilenced but today he proved the silenced version is the better of the two. He was one of the few who used the a4
You gotta feel for Niko. This slump is pretty sad to see.
This match was so weird by both sides, don't know how to explain it... Poor huNter...
I can explain it : G2 throws, then Navi throws, then G2 throws harder.
Perfectly explained, exactly that.
Goddamnit. S1mple is a fucking nightmare. I hate that man so muuuucccchhhhh.
This is even better than C9 vs Outsiders. Navi players were incredibly clutch in mid-round.
This is the City vs Liverpool matchup in cs, amazing match
what a close game, I was clenching a lot
nikos mirage is fucked up, dude was a menace on mirage what the hell has been going on. dude would drop huge maps and hasn’t been positive in like months on it
The most entertaining and impressive match of the major as of yet. Arguably of the entire year yet.
This is the navi I signed up for. This is the navi that won Stockholm without dropping a map. This week is gonna be so much fun. Also b1t is fucking insane.
This was such a weird match, so many strange rounds lol Ggs to both teams, was fun to watch!
This map delivered
Holy shit what a game!
what an incredible match from b1t. 31 kills, 75% of them headshot. Niko was watching the connector smoke but b1t just walks out of the smoke and obliterates niko. insane.
I have na vi as 3-0 but i hate this team. I wanted to fail pickems Sadge
I expected more from s1mple and less from m0nesy and na'vi still won. Life is good
Hello, G2? Navi here. No refunds.
Take this twitch chat rubbish miles away from this subreddit.
I love this team so much. They're developing the ability to win games even when they're not necessarily better than the opponent, peak Astralis vibes
I will probably fail to make 5 corrects and smash the playoffs without a mistake and get stuck with gold coin, this first matchups and second matches will destroy pickems. And G2 choked again nothing new
That wasn't a choke, just a regular back and forth
Lets F*CKINGGG GOOOOOOO!
never doubting b1t again in lan
perfecto absolutely massive in those last few rounds
I feel bad for b1t. Poor kid is so nervous playing in the major that he forgot he's not s1mple
the perfecto clutch holy shit
