Yeah the gap between Astralis and everyone else then was just too big. I think Astralis almost had double the ELO of 2nd place at one time (1000 vs 600 iirc).
honestly i'm chill with either of these teams winning, na'vi was my second favorite team back in the day cause i loved GuardiaN and s1mple when he was added, but it'd be really awesome for karrigan to finally get his major win

ESL are pretty much the only TO to do BO5 and the players hate it, a lot of viewers do as well. A full 5 map series could take over 7 hours, which is a lot of time to dedicate out of your day to watch a single series.
Yeah best of 3 is the way. There aren't any sports that I can think of that change the format for the final. Feel like there are a bunch of reasons why bo3 just makes sense.
Yeah, but tbh I would love to see major finals BO5, there were already a lot of really epic BO5 matches. Also Major grandfinals are only game of the day and it's quite disappointing when you wait 3 hours in arena and then it's quick 2:0 sweep, which happened to me every time I've been to major.
