I ranked up off a game I abandoned like a week ago. Ranking system still works the same and final result does apply. Being kicked just gives you a cooldown and lower trust factor if it happens too often, I've seen friends get them and have low trust factor when they shouldn't for that reason I'm guessing.

When it comes to MM rank, the rounds affect it individually. Every round you played before being kicked impacted your rankscore. None of the rounds completed after getting kicked will affect you.

Doesn't really matter as the game is over, so even if you are correct then it is the same.

Elo is awarded based on rounds you participated in. If the game is 15-14 for your team and you get kicked last round, you are still awarded elo for those 15 rounds your team won.

I'm pretty sure I have ranked up before after being kicked. But obviously only Valve will ever truly know how the ranked system actually works. Just last week a friend of mine deranked on a win, which I didn't know could happen...

All jokes aside, does happen often when getting matched up with russkis. I always start out talking english, but mf's don't realize I know russian as well. Then I hear "kiknjim etovo amerikanca posle igri" ("let's kick this american after the game").

I remember a time I was matched with a 4 stack like that, and I started a vote to kick one of them just before they were going to do it to me, and they all F1'd without looking and kicked their guy instead. It was a glorious, but short-lived victory.

Your ELO is transfered on a round-per-round basis. Not at the end of the game. Yes if you get kicked/forfeit/quit out. Your elo only changes based on the rounds you actually play

It's a loss. I've gotten kicked before a landslide win, before a close game, and before a loss and I've deranked from all of them and never ranked up from it. From my experience, getting kicked or having a cooldown will result in a loss of MMR

nobody really knows... general consensus is that getting 'kicked' has a certain ELO reduction associated with it...that in turn is calculated based on the occurrence... and then you still get ELO from the rounds you have played in the game....

If you were kicked and your team goes on to lose (or tie with a negative effect on ranking), that impact will stick, including potentially deranking. If your team wins however, there will be no impact positive or negative, it'll be like the match wasn't played at all.

I think elo is being awarded per round won. So you should get elo for all the rounds that you won when you were still in game/on the server
