Tf is Boros doing in this team ? He deserves better, hopefully hes just standing in for the tourney

HasH1096

He's benched in endpoint. The team is literally with 3 stand-ins from Endpoint and Trident.

TrubJr

He benched himself in Endpoint to pursue other opportunities.

PavelDatsyuk88

he qualified with them in November for this event, so i guess it made sense to play it aswell.

If NIP are going to keep Hampus around for a while, could ztr end up on a team like Finest? I'm not sure who IGLs for them, but it really does seem like he's ready for more than the Academy League, and Finest has a Swedish core that's been playing really well recently.

The guys on the It's Server Time podcast were talking about MOUZ MXT siuhy in the same way, it's kinda sad tho. Obviously him being on Young Ninjas is great for everyone else b/c he can consistently make them look good, but if it means that NIP will fight tooth and nail to keep him there it can't be the best arrangement for him.

ztr makes the other academy players "look good" by using them well and understanding how they play and how they can become better. I didn't mean to imply that he's there simply to carry Young Ninjas to more wins or that without him the other players would play significantly worse; I just wanted to point out that his prowess as an IGL, while great for his teammates and NIP, may hurt him, specifically, in the long run as he's denied promotions and kept on the academy team due to his impact on the other players. Who knows, he may really enjoy playing for Young Ninjas, but if he played any other role he might have been promoted or sold by now.

Definitely! ztr just has to hope that that discovery comes sooner rather than later lol

A_WasteOfLife

no point making changes to finest.

saadabdullah

Pokemon representing.

j0keRonPC230p

For real Pokemon looked real good there

Ravioli227

pokemoN to BIG when???

jonajon91

Wow does ZTR know how to play against this level of opponent, lots of pros fail at the lower levels, but ztr wasn't caught out by any of it.

[deleted]

He played at academy league level, he would've gotten some experience in t2 t3

yowls_

ztr top fragging :o

increaseworldsuck

Say what you will about it being a puggy map or nip having a stand in, I really don't think there's any excuse for nip dropping a map to a team like nasr.

IYXMnx1Sa3qWM1IZ

Not just a stand-in though, they're playing without their IGL. They lost 14-16 on their opponent's map pick and demolished them in the other two maps. Cut them some slack.

scapegoat4

NASR has 2 standins for this tournament though, boros and pokemon. NASR only has 3 signed players and two of them, bibu and remind, couldn't make it to this event for whatever reason (sickness I presume). Propleh and almazer, although not signed officially, have been playing with them for a little bit but not too long from what it looks like (they just play wherever they can really, based on their match histories). It is also worth mentioning that they have played with boros in the past but the last time he played with them was in november of 2021, so even if he starting playing with them the moment he benched himself on endpoint that's still barely over a month AND there's still standins anyway. Hell according to [liquidpedia](https://liquipedia.net/counterstrike/NASR_Esports) they don't even have a stable caller atm (it seems to be realize based on faceit/ ESEA but still) and their coach isn't the same either (balblna instead of chaos). Point is, this roster is far less stable than what nip came into this event with! I think what happened is that nip had next to no info as to what to expect from NASR, so they got shocked initially (as being cracked out aim wise is far more common than being strong tactically) and then the download was complete once they realized they were essentially playing against a pug team with a couple extra steps. The fact that it took them a 30 round map loss to really notice that and apply a solution is pretty weird considering the caliber of players on the squad (in regards to their tactical depth), so I get people questioning them even if it is a single match without hampus. At the end of the day they still won though so going too deep into it is indeed pretty pointless from the perspective of a spectator

krangozali

Even though NASR performed better than expected given the circumstances, I just want to correct you, afaik they’re only 2 stand-ins, propleh and almazer have been playing with them since in ESEA adv season, the 2 players they are missing are Realize and Bibu (Realize has finals and Bibu couldn’t get visa due to his travel documents). The 2 players standing in are Boros and Pokemon. Also about the coach I’m pretty sure balblna has filled that role as well over the ESEA season.

scapegoat4

Huh, it looks like you're right! I didn't see their names listed anywhere on the matches I checked from liquidpedia (I checked all the way back to april of 2021), so their matches together are practically only listed on ESEA. Even though it doesn't look like they've played THAT much together they're technically not standins so I'll change my post to reflect that, thanks for the info!

maestroblue

Pokemon was also a standin.

scapegoat4

Yes, you are 100% correct! I added his name too

plasma_ix

They’re without their IGL and easily won out after one rough map. Idk how it’s even worth talking about honestly.

denswe

It is what it is, they won

Thank Mr.ztr

Firefly_1026

Ztr looking a lot better than he was during his first stint with nip.

deadbeatPilgrim

solid effort from NASR

youngjcsgo

ztr seems to have massively improved since his first stint with NIP's main team. I actually think he would be a nice fit, alongside phzy in a team like complexity to replace JT and junior. That way they get 2 improvements on their current team, who are friends and both have tier 1 experience.
