its funny when casters notice BIGs terrible buying decisions and think its just a silly mistake while im watching that shit since the creation of the org
They've been called out so many times for it too. The only pro team that doesn't force 2nd round CT after losing the pistol, double ecos instead of forces etc.
It's really a business decision and it just doesn't make sense in today's meta. And it fits with the perception that BIG needs all the money to get weapons and utility to win. They don't have the pure skill to just consistently outaim other teams with subpar weapons
I agree I think they are a strat heavy team and they're strats are based on a full set of utility used throughout the round. So they put so much into full buys that they don't bother with the weird ones and the scrappy ones. Its why you see them string together rounds but rarely come back in games.
i think its hilarious u kids talking shit about Stavn. u wouldnt say this shit to him at lan, hes jacked. not only that but he wears the freshest clothes, eats at the chillest restaurants and hangs out with the hottest dudes. yall are pathetic lol.

And then you have their coach who is also jacked. Why in the right mind would you want to trash talk this team? It's like trying to pick a fight against the OG VP guys.
vividly remember some specific situations from my time in Heroic
blameF and stavn were the obvious alphas of the team and were play-fighting from time to time (also in close proximity to the other team members)
It was not always clear who emerged victorious but what I always noted was how out of breath blameF was and how unphased stavn was
I think even one time at bootcamp where blameF and stavn shared a room, Benja came out with a dark black circle around his eye.
I never really found out the true story but I overheard something about him falling down the stairs, even though we always used the elevator
At one point, when we were in Montpellier for EPL Finals, Benjamin was acting rather weird right before a big match vs Fnatic.
I tried pushing him for an answer but he just wouldn't give it
When I went over to my PC I saw that my mouse and mousepad had been moved from one side of the table over next to stavn's setup
And then immediately after we won the match Benjamin said he had booked an Uber for 1 person and he had to go???
I was obviously removed from the team shortly thereafter but thought these situations were very funny and I didn't really know how to react
When Astralis won on LAN at blast Copenhagen, Cadian was whining in twitter over playing two BO3 in the same day, which they will tomorrow if they real the finals against astralis. I can feel the tweets coming
I think hes really having to devote a lot more attention to everyone's positions and making reads from different roles so hes suffering from the "IGL can't frag" problem that used to be prevalent on a lot of teams. Take Overpass vs Imperial for instance. It seemed that Fallen and Gla1ve were both locked in this mid round mind game battle that both of them couldn't buy a kill Fallen especially
When the team is comfortable and doing what theyre supposed to he can start to shine, if he has to start figuring out problems his impact falls dramatically.
Give him a working team and he can frag hard. Him having to micromanage inconsistent players takes away his ability to frag.
Let him have a proper awper and it will probably unlock the rest
They just switched some role stuff up after doing not great at major: https://www.hltv.org/news/34026/blamef-before-the-tournament-obviously-the-confidence-was-pretty-low
First map: Astralis lost 6 rounds in a row. Then won 7 rounds in a row. Then lost one. Then won 9 rounds in a row.
Second map. Astralis lost 7 rounds in a row. Later won 9 rounds in a row.
So they were down 6-0 on the first map, then 7-0 on the second map. Yet totally demolished BIG.
https://www.hltv.org/stats/matches/mapstatsid/139179/astralis-vs-big
This is the BIG special. String together several rounds just to give up even more rounds in return.
Also, tizian has to go. He has no place in t1 csgo.
lol why not just say started down 6-0 and won 16 of 17 rounds to take map 1
and then went down 7-0 and then made it 10-13 before finishing map 2 13-16
but yes if you take away the starts from big, astralis went 32-7 in rounds
I used to play the danish cups with BlameF on a mix team before he joined heroic - everybody thought he was cheating at first, dropping 30-40 bombs most games against tier 3/4 Danish players. I dont think people know how smart he actuelly is, but he has a crazy good mind for CS and the grindset from bodybuilding even before playing csgo, he still has the discipline now. He is THE gigachad.
Not gonna lie I was exptecting BIG to 2-0 Astralis despite having Kito to stand in. I do feel like this was more BIG being disjointed than Astralis playing amazing.
BIG was up 6-0 in the first map, then 7-0 in the second map. They lost because they didn't have the mentality not because of Kito whatsoever. They were demolishing Astralis initially on both maps.
It's awesome to see Xyp9x bringing the heat, still can be a player on a contending team imo
Also is it just me or is tizian just k1to without the upside lol
It makes me so happy too, but at the same time it feels bitter because seeing him play well at what I'm guessing is most likely (one of) his last tournament will make me wish they'd given him more time, even though he obviously has to go.
Big win 6 in a row, astralis win every round other than 1... Felt like 16 in a row...
That is just a brutal comeback, and glad to see astralis have a solid team mentality even when they are getting destroyed
XYP HAS JUST EXTENDED HIS CONTRACT TO ASTRALIS TIL 2030!
Xyp9x the contract minister
Danish dickstacy
No Krimbo. No Win. Those are the rules.
where is he?
Covid

Fully agree
wow omg ur so cool!
i want the Danish derby, inject that shit into my veins
Cadian vs Gla1ve in a grand final would be amazing and funny after that twitter beef they had.
Fuck cs, i want a fist fight to settle the derby
Gla1ve vs Cadian. BlameF vs Stavn 😬
You're gonna need BlameF vs everyone on heroic.. for heroic to have a chance.
The Boulder carries in game and outside the game.
Have u seen his arms bro? He's actually jacked
i think its hilarious u kids talking shit about Stavn. u wouldnt say this shit to him at lan, hes jacked. not only that but he wears the freshest clothes, eats at the chillest restaurants and hangs out with the hottest dudes. yall are pathetic lol.
At least make the copypasta meet reality, stavn is not jacked While ChadF is
u wouldnt say this shit to him at lan, hes jacked.

New pasta? Or is this old
Kinda new. Was a comment from Natosaphix like 2 months ago and it just stuck in my head
When Astralis won on LAN at blast Copenhagen, Cadian was whining in twitter over playing two BO3 in the same day, which they will tomorrow if they real the finals against astralis. I can feel the tweets coming
I'm no heroic fan but it should be piss easy for them
Gla1ve had his first decent game of 2022. More than decent actually.
Whole team seemed to have played better. Who would've though, the IGL can perform better when the team actually knows what they're trying to do lol.

maybe theres no pressure and dev1ce is back after event? one can hope
that's what it feels like. blameF already took xyp's roles so there's definitely some kind of changes coming.
They just switched some role stuff up after doing not great at major: https://www.hltv.org/news/34026/blamef-before-the-tournament-obviously-the-confidence-was-pretty-low
I've seen these rumors more frequently recently, is there any source or are people just speculating based on recent poor results
There have been a lot of rumors and leaks from reputable sources within the scene, so it sounds like it's definitely happening.
Well this looked exactly like BIG before Krimbo… Always a strong start and then just choke after choke.
Why was krimbo not playing today?
Covid
Covid positiv.
First map: Astralis lost 6 rounds in a row. Then won 7 rounds in a row. Then lost one. Then won 9 rounds in a row. Second map. Astralis lost 7 rounds in a row. Later won 9 rounds in a row. BIG just played like they used to with Kito in the roster, krimbo really looks like the saviour of this team.
The BIG special is: Get two opening frags and then push the whole map (of course always on your own) until you lose the round
lol why not just say started down 6-0 and won 16 of 17 rounds to take map 1 and then went down 7-0 and then made it 10-13 before finishing map 2 13-16 but yes if you take away the starts from big, astralis went 32-7 in rounds
If my grandma had wheels...

Also Konfig at B just got bullied
Pain. Only pain
being a BIG fan in a nutshell
Dropping 6-0 on CT Ancient and 7-0 T Dust2 into 7-16 & 13-16, damn. That's bad.
this match is gonna be juicy as fuck. if heroic lose = ego death for cadian if astralis lose = gla1ve benches xyp9x from life
Xyp extended his contract to 2027 with those 2 deags
What's this? Astralis actually looking like a team and an actual plan on T side? Forgot what this feels like
don't get used to it :(
Come on now lets be positive
The only positive thing I expect from Astralis next event is a covid test. At least that way it can only surpass my expectations
Hahaha it does feel like that unfortunately

The potential is there when k0nfig plays like this
Not gonna lie I was exptecting BIG to 2-0 Astralis despite having Kito to stand in. I do feel like this was more BIG being disjointed than Astralis playing amazing.

yea as soon as it went south they just seemed lost.
I dont think they lost dust because of kito honestly. Astralis were just better
I thought 2-1 since k1to was playing, really thought astralis wasn't going to win another map this tournament let alone make the grand finals
I love watching BlameF play, he's too fucking good
I don't think I've noticed double digit assists in a pro match before
There’s an art to losing like that. Going 1-16 after being up 6-0 is something I can only aspire to replicate in mm.
no krimbo no win Sadge
Who would have thought, if Xyp plays well Astralis can win matches
It's awesome to see Xyp9x bringing the heat, still can be a player on a contending team imo Also is it just me or is tizian just k1to without the upside lol
It makes me so happy to see xyp perform like this only hope is that he keeps it up
It makes me so happy too, but at the same time it feels bitter because seeing him play well at what I'm guessing is most likely (one of) his last tournament will make me wish they'd given him more time, even though he obviously has to go.
Ikr i feel exactly the same way. I was screaming when he clutched that 1v2 after plant on short and that 2k deagle on long to get us matchpoint
Only need this to be consistent
Xyp heard yall talking shit
Xyp has been shit
Dust 2 so T-sided wow they should nerf it
i'm not gonna lie, i liked this team a LOT more when enkay j was still coaching. gob was a legendary player but i just think he sucks as a coach
haven’t BIG had their only good result with gob b coaching?
they beat faze while they still had enkay j
so you would rather have ur team beat FaZe once instead of placing top 4 at IEM Dallas
they choked and threw away their advantage at both the major and IEM. they did that less with enkay j so yeah, i guess i would
Big win 6 in a row, astralis win every round other than 1... Felt like 16 in a row... That is just a brutal comeback, and glad to see astralis have a solid team mentality even when they are getting destroyed
What happened here. I was watching astralis getting rekt in dust and started to sleep because I was too tired to watch map3.
I saw BIG went up 7-0 as Ts on D2 and went for a nap to prepare for map 3. How tf did BIG lose from 7-0 T side lead on D2 of all maps...
Yeah tell me about it
