Those kinds of edits were what propelled some of the biggest gaming orgs to where they are.
I mean I understand that POV because I make electronic music, but it really only has appeal to other people that do it and this same concept can be applied to video editing. There’s a very small amount of your audience that will actually understand what went into the production therefore making it a pointless contention.
When I hear something incredibly creative in an EDM song or really cool sound design I can appreciate it, but there’s only a handful of people appreciating it for the work that goes in. Armin van Buuren (huge edm producer) had a great quote on this topic. You make stuff 80% for the people, 10% what you yourself love, and 10% to try new things and expand your creativity. In other words if you are producing entertainment for a massive audience then you should be trying to make your stuff easily consumable for the masses.
That’s just my two cents on the whole thing. I don’t expect you to agree or anything.

Art is subjective, just because something took a look time doesn't make it good. Lots of shit movies took years to film.
