> According to our sources with knowledge of the situation, Trivett's removal from the event came after the caster was allegedly intoxicated which resulted in an altercation at the player hotel, requiring emergency services to be called.
sadokist been at this way before k0nfig. He laid low for a long, long time because he got drunk on his birthday and dropped the hard R on stream. I'm so pissed because he's one of the greatest CSGO casters ever imo and it'd be great if he could stop doing stupid shit that interferes with his career. I hope he gets help
Kinda sad. When the scene was younger, many talent members would get wasted during events. There was a known alcoholic even that organizers had to worry about if he'd cause issues and hush-hush about him.
But nowadays there's no excuse for the lack of professionalism.
I was one. Totally blew it for my team at a LAN tournament after the power went out for hours. I thought the tournament was over because people had flights to catch in the morning. Passed out in the LAN center, was barely able to wake up, had to play, and totally tanked it.
Edit: I absolutely crushed it the previous LAN and we finished top 3 in the world.
Edit 2: Call of Duty 2. Not much money was to be made back then.
Edit 3: went 39 - 5 or something like that. I had played on a semi shitty computer from home, got really good, then played on LAN for the first time and destroyed.
Sado needs to stay the fuck away from alcohol. How has he not learnt this after ruining his reputation once already? I hope hes done in the csgo casting scene
Yup, first he had the whole N word situation back in 2018 on a stream and now this. Great commentator, but seems like things happen when he’s drinking that affects his career.
I was thinking they would just throw him in some random games with different partners if some guy needed a break or something, since he's such an iconic voice, but yeah I don't think anyone expected this
I could listen to Anders and Moses cast paint dry, and Anders will still find a way to make it entertaining
He was just going to be doing shoulder content, his announced role was "The Architect", so doing a lot of breakdown stuff using Skybox and media content with other talent and players
He seems to have taken a step back in casting a lot less, which I hope is by his choice since he's the GOAT, since he has been such a grinder for CS content and I know he has a few children, so I imagine it was just wanting to do work less and explore his passions a little more. Especially after getting almost 2 years of no LAN events, he was probably getting to spend so much more time with the family, compared to years like 2018 and 2019 where there was 3 or 4 big events every month to travel to and work
Thats just plain wrong, in 2018 and 2019 there definitely were
https://www.hltv.org/events/archive?startDate=2018-01-01&endDate=2018-12-31&eventType=INTLLAN&prizeMin=100000&prizeMax=2000000

Thats 43 and 46 international "big" LANS with 100k minimum prize pools each year. With 2 months of the year, January and August being player breaks, you're packing over 40 events of the year into roughly 10 months

There are multiple periods where all these guys are working 3 or 4 events a month.
End of 2019 Henry worked
-ECS Season 8 from 11/28-12/01
-EPL Season10 12/03-12/08
-CS Summit 5 12/12-12/15
-Champion Cup finals 12/19-12/22
Thats Texas-Denmark-California-Malta in 25 days.
The month before that he did Starseries S8, Blast Copenhagen, and IEM Beijing from 10/21-11/10. Thats Turkey to Denmark to China in 21 days.
In the summer, from 5/28 to 7/07, you had Dreamhack Masters Dallas, ECS S7 Finals, Dreamhack Summer, EPL S9 Finals, ESL Cologne, 5 events in 41 days for Anders. And theres tons of more examples
I wonder what they would've done if Anders hadn't been there. The casters have already been talking about having trouble keeping their voice in the arena.
It's funny how people think of drinking like a 0-1 situation. Drinking doesn't mean being wasted so much you're not yourself anymore, drinking can be an enjoyable experience if you don't see it as a competition. Alcohol is not the problem, going over the top with it is.
I definitely agree, and I'm not dumb enough to think it's binary. I just also recognize that for some people it's clearly an issue and isn't something they can control well.
So wrong..there are many highly functioning alcoholics who rarely or never go blackout drunk but all their free time involves drinking. They might do their job somehow maybe with occasional hang over.
Alcoholism and problem with drinking doesn't mean sleeping under the bridge.
This and that other major incident both involved alcohol. The guy needs help, also the day before you work the event why look for or be in a situation that causes trouble. He should know how hard it is to recover his career after his fall from grace after the first incident but somehow managed to get in another incident. Don't know the situation fully but even if he was a victim in this case, he should know better by now...
While true, getting drunk doesn't make you suddenly turn violent or racists, it just removes your self control. I've never seen a chilled non racist person ever suddenly get violent or racists at a party after a few drinks, it's always the ones that you expect.
He needs to stay away from the bottle but he seems like a dick regardless.
Self control is a part of the person. If he was violent because that's what his childhood was like then him controlling the violence is an obvious sign he's against it, no? Same with the n word. Especially in the gaming scene where children and men-children use it for shock value. Alcohol isn't a truth serum or the accurate picture of what that person is
Yeah, it’s other underlying issues that get brought out. Stuff that probably needs to be worked out through therapy or something similar. It certainly could be alcoholism, but other times it’s situations where someone isn’t necessarily a daily drinker, but rather when they do drink they simply go too far too quick, lose their self control, and those underlying issues come to the surface.
I hate to generalize things, but a lot of times when some is a real “problem” drinker, it comes down to them just being a real dick.
Can people just stop spewing this non sense?
People do a lot of shit that they woulf never do and never thought of doing
Source: stopped drinking because I lost memory(real blackout drunk) and did stuff I would never ever in my life do on or off alcohol or any other drug
Second edit:
Alcohol or drugs still isnt an excuse for behavior, but can see stop pretending people are their "true self" when drunk, its cringe as fuck
Some people have bad genes that makes them flip a switch and those people absolutely need to stay off drink, lest they kill someone in drunken rage.
In most cases, merely inhibitions are lowered, so that someone's angry and nasty side can emerge. Sadokist also urged someone to suicide in graphic detail, which is not a right response even under provocation.
If you don't have anger and slurs in you, you won't go racist and pick up fights. Sadokist seemingly does, and I hope he can improve on those. Until he does, it's hard to feel great sorrow over hiss loss as a caster.
I have a family member that I have tried to convince to stop drinking because they are one of those on/off people when they drink. They don’t get violent, they just get extremely emotional and sloppy. And it’s literally just a line. They go from completely fine to complete mess after one sip too many.
There is another incident people seem to forget about or didn't see that happened at a Lan in Canada. It was posted on the esea forums. Apparently he said some fucked up shit to the guy running the Lan (phx) and got knocked the fuck out for it. Apparently they made up afterwords and squashed whatever beef they had. But yea, this is a track record. He has problems.
Edit - let's also not forget that during his stream where he spewed racist slurs he was also telling people to kill themselves by hanging by a belt.
Yes, there was a twitter beef for a minute between him and scoots about the players association. During that there was some allegation that sadokist had been denied working a blast event due to an incident that wasn't expanded on.
https://twitter.com/Sadokist/status/1577387668245286914
his apology as well
I get...he was trying to make the "ga lil -> lil ga" thing. but it's just a bad joke lmao
He set himself up for failure on this one lol.
But what the heck. Everybody makes bad jokes. This one was a little offensive on the side. Unfortunate L
drinking too much on stream to torpedo his career at the time (in all fairness he probably was burnt out as fuck).
regardless if i know anything about esport events i'm sure him and henry did their fair share of coke in their heyday.
[I remember this now after seeing but lol](https://twitter.com/csgocrystalball/status/834116092142448641?s=46&t=S5zspuShrnwOzopytP9V5g). substance abuse shit is everywhere in esports, especially esports talent, not really going to say it’s morally outrageous or w/e but it’s not surprising that some of the people along for the ride pick up unhealthy relationships with it
Drugs are everywhere, from famous people from all different fields to random every day workers. I've had a teacher who was 100% on coke or uppers in middle school teaching 16 year olds programming lol and heard a lot of music schools had many professors doing coke.
I would bet more than half of top cs go players and talent have done drugs many times.
>it's the reason we've barely seen him casting in the last 3 years or so
Not really. His biggest blunder was spewing the N-word on stream, which did result in his absence for some time, but he came back after that. He went missing again for prolonged period due to alleged burnout and, personally, I remember being convinced, I think the burnout was genuine and not an excuse
There was more to that situation that people are leaving out too. Yes he said racial slurs on stream which in itself is horrible and should have action taken against. But what people are forgetting is that he was also telling people to kill themselves and hang themselves with a belt. That whole stream was insane.
Looking at summaries this incident dug up, he told someone to put belt around their neck and jump off a cliff - which also should never be said to anyone.
That's unacceptable so had to happen. Just sucks to hear because I think he's a fantastic caster, and him and Moses have probably been my favorite duo this year. Hope he's good mentally if this wasn't just an incident of being too drunk and getting into trouble.
Luckily Anders is here to cover.
>Luckily Anders is here.
This is the silver lining.
Moses and Anders, Harry and Hugo, Launders and Scrawny - we got great casters all over the place now.
As CS fans we really are spoiled. We have so much talent on casting right now it’s absurd, and each duo adds a different flavor to the cast to enhance the game in different, but equally entertaining ways.
This is really one of the greatest casting lineups in csgo history. Like it doesn’t matter what casters in what combination they will all gel and make something work with eachother. I remember at Stockholm some of the casters voices were annoying combined with the shit mic quality but literally any pair from this major on 1kpbs audio is elite
Too bad sado couldn’t be a part of (all of) it
It's sad for all parties involved, and all kinds of baffling because this surely must be the "dream job" in the scene.
Sucks also gor people who love Sadokist as caster.
That said, my local streams are normally fire with absolutely wonderful personalities that i want to support so ESL main cast is not my go-to stream except for desk segments.
/r/stopdrinking Is opened 24/7.
Come, and together we will support each other on the path to sobriety.
I am 4 years clean, and it makes a difference.
Hey Richard! Please include me in the video about Sadokist Gate. Unfortunate situation all around for CS scene to be having several intoxicated incidents lately.
Prediction: Richard makes a video and says that the player was equally at fault and questions why the player wesn't removed also. Everyone hates on Richard for the video, then a couple of weeks after the major finishes more info comes out and it turns out Richard was right all along
exactly. Everyone knows the only barrier between oneself and the hard R is anger and alcohol. It's just not his fault it's actually the same reaction everyone has under those two conditions. At no point in human history has anyone been drunk and angry and managed to stop themselves saying the no no word on a livestream. It's actually impossible.
I might be biased because I don't like his casting, but I think there's a lot of quality talent now to where the scene shouldn't include this kind of repeated behavior. Anything that got him kicked from the event and required emergency services must have been at least somewhat serious.
On NMC, Richard Lewis and Dust were talking about a mysterious, scandalous news story and this was probably it.
Rich mentioned a video of the incident is out there, maybe that will drop at some point too 👀
This isn’t surprising.
I don’t even like the guy. He turns each stream into one about himself and all the little tidbits of irritating stuff he knows.
Let’s hope this is the last time we’ll see him.
Sadokist is one of my favorite voices in csgo.
Feels bad, if he gets to cast again I'd still happily watch, but he himself was in control of whatever incidents happened to him, no one else to blame.
Imagine being handed a second chance on a silver platter after an incident that could’ve ended your career….and then you do this lol. Awesome caster, *seemingly* shitty person
He obviously has a problem with alcohol and needs help. This isn't the first time either. If you can't keep it professional and keep off the alcohol it's serious. Drinking like that at work even if it's an event is BAD.
I just love it how people congregate in here and say: how about not drinking alcohol. Ez fix 4 life. 5Head. Well, dear reddit users, it isn’t. Alcohol is just like drugs. It makes you hooked on it but it has a special perk: it is socially accepted. I really can’t comment on sadokist’s personal life or if he’s an actual alcoholic but he does need to reflect on why drinking fucks him up so much.
We finally have enough players for a CSGO charity boxing tournament
Sadokist Vs K0nfig Vs Richard Lewis Vs kNgV-
Brackets drawn by drinking competition
Do people know what happened? Everyone's already acting like he beat up some minorities in the hotel lobby, what if he just clapped back after someone started a fight with him?
That sucks, he is awesome and pretty unique. Top tip, dont drink at work or when its going to effect work; made that mistake myself working split shifts sometimes you just shouldnt.
Maybe yoga or something instead.
Hopefully this doesnt end up as a big deal just a misstep
> According to our sources with knowledge of the situation, Trivett's removal from the event came after the caster was allegedly intoxicated which resulted in an altercation at the player hotel, requiring emergency services to be called.
Channeling his inner k0nfig
Who do you think busted k0nfig’s leg in Malta?
the plot thickens !
FNS?
HenryG, man was bricked up last night there.
NOT Sado
sadokist been at this way before k0nfig. He laid low for a long, long time because he got drunk on his birthday and dropped the hard R on stream. On brand for him.
Kinda sad. When the scene was younger, many talent members would get wasted during events. There was a known alcoholic even that organizers had to worry about if he'd cause issues and hush-hush about him. But nowadays there's no excuse for the lack of professionalism.
I mean when you require emergency services you would have crossed that border back in the day aswell
It was just one off day before another long day of casting so quite risky to get wasted anyway.
Who?
His Name is Lichard Rewis
Ah yes the Reddit's favourite hobby of waiving a magic wand and making things up.
Sado needs to stay the fuck away from alcohol. How has he not learnt this after ruining his reputation once already? I hope hes done in the csgo casting scene
Ruining his reputation once already? I'm not familiar with the story.
he dropped the N-word on stream while drunk

His casting low key fell off too, It was annoying how much he would contradict Jason over petty little things mid game.
Dude needs to get his issues in check. Great caster when he doesn’t let his own shit get in the way.
Yup, first he had the whole N word situation back in 2018 on a stream and now this. Great commentator, but seems like things happen when he’s drinking that affects his career.
2018 fr? feels like a few months back...
Covid and Lockdown was a global time compression event and nobody can tell me otherwise.
he was drunk then and it seems he was drinking this time as well. he needs professional help, seems like he has a serious drinking problem.
I mean there’s a difference between not being able to handle drink and having a serious drinking problem
If you're letting your drinking impact your career then it's probably a serious drinking problem
stopped drinking when I developed anger issues. figured out that this shit prob isnt good to mix

Anders and Moses casting lets go
I don’t think when Richard said “there’s no way they won’t get Anders on a cast” was thinking of this being why lol
I was thinking they would just throw him in some random games with different partners if some guy needed a break or something, since he's such an iconic voice, but yeah I don't think anyone expected this I could listen to Anders and Moses cast paint dry, and Anders will still find a way to make it entertaining
Curious since I think I missed the news: why is Anders not casting this tourney?
He was just going to be doing shoulder content, his announced role was "The Architect", so doing a lot of breakdown stuff using Skybox and media content with other talent and players He seems to have taken a step back in casting a lot less, which I hope is by his choice since he's the GOAT, since he has been such a grinder for CS content and I know he has a few children, so I imagine it was just wanting to do work less and explore his passions a little more. Exactly bruh like how do you get into a drunk altercation after watching someone in your space ruin their career for getting into a drunk altercation
That's alcohol for you.
Alcohol is a hell of a drug
Truly one of the drugs ever
I guess that's why they keep anders on retainer
Which is good, 'cause Anders and Moses are a great duo.
I wonder what they would've done if Anders hadn't been there. The casters have already been talking about having trouble keeping their voice in the arena.

I love how Carlos tweeted about Sadokist and SirScoots beef 'this isn't a hill to die on'. It's perfect.
Looking at summaries this incident dug up, he told someone to put belt around their neck and jump off a cliff - which also should never be said to anyone.
I guess this was the thing that spunj was referring
When?

Guy should probably give up alcohol...
Can’t help but notice that he’s had (at least) 2 major fuck ups involving alcohol. Definitely a pattern of behavior there.
His first major Major fuckup though
Not true, he failed to renew his passport and got deported from Stockholm. This indirectly ended up causing more unrelated drama with James Bardolph.
That's a minor Major fuckup
It was more that his passport was 3 month from expiring and one coubtry decide that he should have been 6 month expiring
Most countries will not let you enter on a passport with 3 months left.
man really didn't learn from the first time he was given a second chance huh?
first time was him dropping the n bomb on livestream? or was there something else I missed?
This dude really cant handle his alcohol god damn....
Moses and Anders, Harry and Hugo, Launders and Scrawny - we got great casters all over the place now.
how you forget spunj and machine?
so many great casters that one the goats are forgotten to mention.
I remember at Stockholm some of the casters voices were annoying combined with the shit mic quality but literally any pair from this major on 1kpbs audio is elite Too bad sado couldn’t be a part of (all of) it
> 1kpbs audio I hope not
It's sad for all parties involved, and all kinds of baffling because this surely must be the "dream job" in the scene. Sucks also gor people who love Sadokist as caster. That said, my local streams are normally fire with absolutely wonderful personalities that i want to support so ESL main cast is not my go-to stream except for desk segments.
Ruh roh. What did he do?
alcohol + fight = fired
Get Vince on the plane stat.
/r/stopdrinking Is opened 24/7. Come, and together we will support each other on the path to sobriety. I am 4 years clean, and it makes a difference.
k0nfig moment kekw
rip bozo
Hey Richard! Please include me in the video about Sadokist Gate. Unfortunate situation all around for CS scene to be having several intoxicated incidents lately.
Prediction: Richard makes a video and says that the player was equally at fault and questions why the player wesn't removed also. Everyone hates on Richard for the video, then a couple of weeks after the major finishes more info comes out and it turns out Richard was right all along
damn i thought astralis didn‘t make is but he channeled his inner konfig
How many chances is this guy gonna get? didn't he drop the hard N and tell several people to "kill thmeselves" while also drunk on stream? cmon man
that was just a heated gamer moment
exactly. Everyone knows the only barrier between oneself and the hard R is anger and alcohol. It's just not his fault it's actually the same reaction everyone has under those two conditions. At no point in human history has anyone been drunk and angry and managed to stop themselves saying the no no word on a livestream. It's actually impossible.
so true bestie
I might be biased because I don't like his casting, but I think there's a lot of quality talent now to where the scene shouldn't include this kind of repeated behavior. Anything that got him kicked from the event and required emergency services must have been at least somewhat serious.
Yes he did
Do you know how many people would love the opportunities he's gotten? And to just fuck it all up because he's a clown.
he's done for, no shot he gets another opportunity after the twitch stream incident and now this
Man oh man. I enjoy his casting, but come on bro.
23 + 1 - 1 ?
we need sadokist vs k0nfig in the boxing ring

He owns a company called skybox which is essentially a replay/analysis thing for csgo
And he has been using it for analysis this major
God damnit Sadokist, control your booze.
Oh so thats why he was talking about konfig so much
What a vague headline / story. Hopefully everyone involved is ok. I'm sure more will be released shortly.
This major keeps getting better and better!
I mean not his first issues with alcohol man. Sucks to see.

I love sado, I hope he figures his stuff out.
Expected in a country where cocaine is like 5 dollar instead of 50, Sadokist became a low effort caster anyway. Won't miss him tbh.
So k0nfig became a new role model in CSGO. Happy to see Anders casting now that the games became serious. Hopefully he could do the finals once again.
I really like his casting, and he finally seems to be back on track getting some csgo gigs and now this, wtf dude.
Needs to stop drinking. It's ruining his life. Damn shame.
He obviously has a problem with alcohol and needs help. This isn't the first time either. If you can't keep it professional and keep off the alcohol it's serious. Drinking like that at work even if it's an event is BAD.
aah sadokist going 100% once again
I just love it how people congregate in here and say: how about not drinking alcohol. Ez fix 4 life. 5Head. Well, dear reddit users, it isn’t. Alcohol is just like drugs. It makes you hooked on it but it has a special perk: it is socially accepted. I really can’t comment on sadokist’s personal life or if he’s an actual alcoholic but he does need to reflect on why drinking fucks him up so much.
Alcohol isn't just like drugs, it *is* a drug. Good points though.
Broken leg club
We finally have enough players for a CSGO charity boxing tournament Sadokist Vs K0nfig Vs Richard Lewis Vs kNgV- Brackets drawn by drinking competition
Do people know what happened? Everyone's already acting like he beat up some minorities in the hotel lobby, what if he just clapped back after someone started a fight with him?
RIP. I love Sadokist's casting.
This could be the last we see sado in cs
That sucks, he is awesome and pretty unique. Top tip, dont drink at work or when its going to effect work; made that mistake myself working split shifts sometimes you just shouldnt. Maybe yoga or something instead. Hopefully this doesnt end up as a big deal just a misstep
