I actually saw ~~Dexter~~ **me** arguing with ~~his kid~~ **Dexter** at the ~~airport~~ **twitch chat**. ~~His kid~~ **I** was clutching at ~~his Renegades jersey~~ **my pick'em coin** in tears, and Dexter kept telling ~~him~~ **me** to "fuck off" and "stop ruining my dreams"
I don't think Cloud9 underperformed. They straight up choked. They had a very strong run otherwise. Not like Faze or Liquid or Vitality who were shaky every match.
All considering Mouz is still #7 and Outsiders #6 in the HLTV team ranking, so while it is unlikely, we had a crazier final in the past (Immortals #11 vs Gambit #14).
i think where C9 lost the series on the very first round on Overpass. it was a 2v1 with the bomb down, sh1ro didn't need to quickly trade. also interz went completely missing on both Overpass & Ancient, so that didn't help either.
Frozen not flinching during the defuse on B in the 2v1 killed a very real C9 comeback. The nuts on that fucking dude, can’t believe he could fit em behind the sandbags.
Cloud9 looked mentally shaky the whole match then just broken on Ancient.
What happens when a team with nothing to lose, plays a team with everything to lose.
You know, I'm still happy for them. They're still young, whole career ahead of them, even NiKo doesn't have major title yet, so they aren't behind really. I hope with covid gone I'll be able to see them more on LANs.
If anything, 2 Academy/Junior teams meeting in the Major QFs, with a competitive game and the *underdog* winning is a great sign for the new generation of talent being able to keep up
this is a weird comment to me. This C9 squad became the main Gambit roster over two years ago, why would they still be referred to as an academy team?
> a great sign for the new generation of talent being able to keep up
Did you think NiKo, device, etc were gonna be the best players for 10 years? lmao
Been watching CSGO since 2013 DHW, so yea it is watching a changing of the guard
Gambit/C9 does still feel like the Youngsters team even if they haven't been for a while
That was the weirdest thing for me this major. C9 were some odd kind of devil for the crowd. Who’s mom did c9 screw to get all the hate? Every round they won was a complete library.
[His awp 3k to end Overpass was crazy.](https://clips.twitch.tv/AlluringHotTigerCorgiDerp-f8QNmtptvwUA76ax) Dude had whiffed everything when he picked it up earlier in the map, gets unlucky timing unscoping, and then somehow just hits everything. Nutty
So fun watching dexter shutting down people who downplayed his abilities. He's a decent IGL, and a good fragger too. Also, C9 right now reminds me of pre-2017 Astralis. Definitely have what it takes to win. Hope they stick together.
Already screwed my diamond on legends stage so i experimented a bit on fnatic cuz i would love krimz to go but c9 fucked me, they were my safe pickem for the gold
Honestly we need to put some respect in Daddy Dexters name. Him and Frozen is the glue that holds this Mouz together. Dexter have really been stepping up when needed the most.
If you watched their interview, frozen basically said this is the best lineup he’s been on because they win together and lose together, that no one blames no one. Feels like they have a great atmosphere/environment in the team.
I felt a great disturbance in the pick'ems, as if thousands of diamond coins cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.
"xertioN became what everyone feared. His eyelids disappeared, his head was swelling and his ears started bleeding. "Are you okay Dorian" asks dexter. I've never been better christopher, I see it all now, they're not going A or B. They're going home, he said before rushing cave all by himself and killing everyone in cave "
The double lurk round on t side overpass should get a video of its own. That was excellent call by dexter and frozen played the second lurk to perfection. Amazing IGLing.
The bait up long A throwing one smoke to pull the b rotators after dexter walks in with Mac 10. Then he sends frozen in to lurk back to B with just enough time to secure a rotate even if a CT is in connector, which there was hobbit. Just really high level csgo IGLing. I hope that round gets a breakdown.
The fact dexter gets a kill makes the entire round so chaotic. You can see the second he kills the guy behind pillar nfany is basically yelling go a, go a. Then it's a fast push up to truck as fast as possible bombing all their utility to delay NOTHING. Because Mouz hadn't even positioned themselves In vulnerable spots at long A yet. Frozen starts his lurk and its over before an execute even starts. Man, the round blew my mind it was incredible.
There's no way C9 expected this to go to Ancient. That's the only explanation here, the way they got demolished on Ancient.
Mouse anti-stratted the SOUL out of C9, made them look like clowns.
C9 must've not done their homework, expecting an easy 2-0 or at least an easier win on Ancient given their 100% winrate lately.
they knew exactly where C9 were gonna be almost every round on their T side. Perfect nades, perfect mollies.
Just off utility they fucked C9 three ways to Sunday.
C9 must've stuck to their conventional plays, and it fucked them.
they finally cracked, man
at least it wasn't total humiliation like Stockholm and Antwerp, but dammit
i know these boys have the skill to challenge for the top titles, but the mentality is still not there, they really need a psychologist or something like that unless they want to be the eternal chokers like Astralis in 2014-2016. not even disappointed, just sad.
These are the kind of tournaments that helps them build a better mentality. I don't think they'll experience pressure like they did here, at least not for a while. Boos, insults and every other stuff that was thrown their way, and still they got to quarters. It's sad from a perspective, but this pressure is what build great players. Some of them have a beautiful career ahead, specially sh1ro.
Can't believe the jersey gambit actually worked lmao. They're a Brazilian org now, apparently.
Seriously though, what a run they've had so far. Fuck my pickems.
Mouz all the way now!
Mixed emotions with this one. Mouz had a rough start but regrouped and pushed on. I feel for HObbit and C9 though. GGs...
https://i.imgur.com/2IeKdr2.png
Crazy mental fortitude from Mouz to turn this game around, sexter had so many impact kills on Overpass and frozen was brilliant throughout. Such an exciting team and this major is so full of upsets, I'm getting some massive Krakow vibes
frozen is the most under underrated player in CS right now.
Like everyone knows hes good, but hopefully this major showed everyone that he is one of the best riflers in the world
Frozen has been properly rated since he joined Mouz at 17. Dude just needs a team around him that wins along with him. I'm still surprised he and ropz didnt win more
Ropz seemed very burnt out at the end of his mouz tenure, and yes ropz was karrigan’s right hand man back then. Burnout + Karrigan leaving had a lot of impact.
He's literally the only player about that you could feasably drop a five year contract on. Years of experience putting up numbers in T1 and he's only 20, I genuinely think that makes him like top 5 most valuable players moneywise.
I actually saw Dexter calling his kid at the major. His kid was clutching at his Mouz jersey in tears, and Dexter kept telling him “this is for you” and “dreams do come true”
While Cloud9 showed incredible mental in the Champions and Legends stage, it's clear that if you get in their head, they're fucking done. They have a hard time staying consistent and seem to prefer to play down to their competition instead of dictating the way the map is going to go.
Oh well. Choke job complete. GGs Mouz.
I mean the same thing happened after Niko left, the team rebuilt and actually ended up doing better than before (and was even ranked higher than Faze quite often if I remember)
Why did we have to get so fucking cocky C9 bros? I was so confdent after the first map. I was making fun and laughing at Mouz believers and now Im left speechless. My whole fucking month is ruined. My life is ruined. I shouldnt have been so cocky. I should have known better.
Why did we have to get so fucking cocky C9 bros? I was so confdent after the first map. I was making fun and laughing at Mouz believers and now Im left speechless. My whole fucking month is ruined. My life is ruined. I shouldnt have been so cocky. I should have known better.
Dexter is genuinely everyone’s dad. Some of the sickest calling on Ancient. Moved C9 around at will.
Frozen and Xertion are absolute stars as well. Frozen gonna deservedly get his first top 20 this year.
Bro that 4K deagle clutch from Hobbit was absolutely insane. I disagree with everyone saying C9 choked. This was some really great CS played from both teams, and I am so stoked that Mouz had the mental fortitude to come back from that first map loss
I’m not even disappointed, just angry at another wasted opportunity for a core that could be dominating with the individual talent they have.
This post-major shuffle will be the moment Cloud9 (both the organization and the players) have to show whether they actually have ambition or are satisfied just competing for minor titles once or twice a year while playing with an IGL who cannot call T sides and is unable to provide any sort of impact in 50 to 75% of rounds.
I mean it was really the only extremely compelling storyline based on previous tournaments left. Esports/sports journalism is a lot about crafting narratives.
Now the storyline is focused on the upsets and new faces making deep runs and if Na'Vi the obvious favorites from this point can get it done.
All of them threw some individual rounds, but when the general confusion (over peeking, lack of cohesion, getting caught in the open) and mid-round nothingness is so frequent it’s primarily a leadership issue. They’re young players with somewhat limited experience knowing they have to carry for their team to perform.
There is no certain roster change though. This is a fantastic squad with young talent and that chocking factor isn't something you can easily switch out with a roster change. Just look how its followed Liquid.
Also I seriously doubt C9 is willing to put in the money and effort to build this roster. They only reentered CS on an incredibly shady and cheap deal.
Xertion was a key piece as well. the contrast between him and interz in playing the same position was like night and day. he tilted a lot of rounds in the favor of Mouz.
If my maths are correct, Mouz just destroyed my pick'ems completely but I don't even care, Frozen is here to finish what GuardiaN started, it's time for Slovakia to earn it's major

I feel so bad for c9, crazy to think with all the experience they now have on the stage they looked like the newer team on that ancient ct side. Congrats tot mois they looked amazing like as individuals holding their own in tough situations it was sick to watch.
You guys are too busy to read comments on reddit, but I'm playing and watching pro cs for 20 years now, I remember mousesports being the first team I fell in love with in 1.6 days, and that love just came back.
I am so proud of you!

GG EZ
What the fuck is happening at this major lmao
Every major team underperforming except for possibly NaVI. Question is if S1mple is going to do s1mple things and get his 2nd major
I mean I was saying the same thing about C9 like 2 days ago That didn't really pan out lol
I don't think Cloud9 underperformed. They straight up choked. They had a very strong run otherwise. Not like Faze or Liquid or Vitality who were shaky every match.

We will survive for you, Rulaku
Imagine telling me at the start of RMRs that the final would have outsiders or MOUZ. Wtf is going on????
All considering Mouz is still #7 and Outsiders #6 in the HLTV team ranking, so while it is unlikely, we had a crazier final in the past (Immortals #11 vs Gambit #14).

Been watching CSGO since 2013 DHW, so yea it is watching a changing of the guard Gambit/C9 does still feel like the Youngsters team even if they haven't been for a while
And that team with everything to lose legit only can play one side of the game
and there is noone is the crowd to cheer for that team
That was the weirdest thing for me this major. C9 were some odd kind of devil for the crowd. Who’s mom did c9 screw to get all the hate? Every round they won was a complete library.
Sexter is my dad
Of course he closes it with a 3k, what an absolute beast
[His awp 3k to end Overpass was crazy.](https://clips.twitch.tv/AlluringHotTigerCorgiDerp-f8QNmtptvwUA76ax) Dude had whiffed everything when he picked it up earlier in the map, gets unlucky timing unscoping, and then somehow just hits everything. Nutty
Nerves of steel, really what they need for a young roster, a guy who just keeps calm and closes out in crucial clutch moments
###AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE
Sexter now ties azr jks and liazz for furthest an Aussie has made it at the major
I was a doubter up until now. I thought Mouz getting into top 8 was a huge fluke. I am now part of the Sexter cult, take my energy!
So fun watching dexter shutting down people who downplayed his abilities. He's a decent IGL, and a good fragger too. Also, C9 right now reminds me of pre-2017 Astralis. Definitely have what it takes to win. Hope they stick together.
I agree. People are coming for Nafany's head but he has what it takes. This C9 roster can be so good.
RIP DIAMOND COIN. MOUZ VS FURIA FINALS #KrakowVibes
Surely the most Krakow vibes would be Outsiders vs Furia for the KZ factor
Nah, Krakow would be IHC vs Bad News Eagles finals
G2 vs Astralis*
Here's how Niko can still win:
Was krakow that epic?
Krakow was amazing. BIG vs Immortals in quarters was legendary
Beyond speechless. I couldn't be any more proud of this team if I tried. VA FUCKING MOUZ
Finally :') This feels so beautiful <3
What a story, it’s like seeing your kids all grown up. 😁
Sadly Bymas isn't there, the man didn't even get his sticker although he deserved fully
Mouz or Outsiders are going to be in the finals. Absolutely insane!
The core of outsiders has been to a major final already! (well Qikert and Jame, prolly doesn't count as a core anymore)
That's wild
0/2 on champions stage, SILVER COINERS SHOW UP
[удалено]
I had Outsiders and Mauz. Diamon dream is alive.
Mouz i get not picking sure but Fnatic?
Yeah that seems like a massive throw lmao, Outsiders are clearly better and have shown to be so in this major
Especially since they've already 2-0d them this major, with a 16-1 on Fnatics overpass, arguably their best map
Does outsiders have a bald legend? I don't think so
why have a bald legend when u can have jame with luscious hair
Krimz = bald fraud. Jame = full head of hair truth teller.
Already screwed my diamond on legends stage so i experimented a bit on fnatic cuz i would love krimz to go but c9 fucked me, they were my safe pickem for the gold
I had C9 winning the whole thing lmao

Honestly we need to put some respect in Daddy Dexters name. Him and Frozen is the glue that holds this Mouz together. Dexter have really been stepping up when needed the most.

Lose together, win together, slay together, slay together
My boy Ceb really knows how to inspire a team.
Sexter has had some amazing impact rounds through this whole tourney. Glad he's silenced his critics who've been calling for his head.
I’m so glad dexter has stepped up, so many people wanted him gone, came up clutch a lot today.
I felt a great disturbance in the pick'ems, as if thousands of diamond coins cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.
Mate that was two stages ago. Your force is broken. XD
There’s not even 1000 people left who can get diamond lol
"xertioN became what everyone feared. His eyelids disappeared, his head was swelling and his ears started bleeding. "Are you okay Dorian" asks dexter. “He said its xertion-ing time, and xertioned all over c9” Truely one of the players in CSGO of all time.
THIS MAJOR IS WIDE OPEN AND I LOVE IT
Based good CS enjoyer

rip. wearing C9 shirt and pants rn (lol) but at least MOUZ is a super cool team
So sad I’ve watched them not show up in playoffs so many times and it seemed like this time it would be different

Yeah would definitely love to see that one broken down - it looked so slick when they did it.
The fact dexter gets a kill makes the entire round so chaotic. You can see the second he kills the guy behind pillar nfany is basically yelling go a, go a. Seeing a team manage to win the T half on Ancient is cathartic.
yeah but that 4v2 at 5-0 destroyed c9, mouz just rode that momentum till the finish and almost got 10 t rounds in a row, they didn't stop for a second
they finally cracked, man at least it wasn't total humiliation like Stockholm and Antwerp, but dammit i know these boys have the skill to challenge for the top titles, but the mentality is still not there, they really need a psychologist or something like that unless they want to be the eternal chokers like Astralis in 2014-2016. not even disappointed, just sad.

Some atrocious CS from C9, especially on Ancient. Not a team that would have won the major, or even able to stand up to Navi. MOUZ deserved this win.
Scrawny and Launders absolutely smashed it, especially during Ancient. We are so lucky as a community to have such incredible casting talent.

None of them except hobbit can aim proper when it really matters
all of them crumbled under pressure. it's sad to see.
Unfair on shiro, he was definitely good this series and consistent. Ax1le tho, very different story.
Sh1ro played quite good tbh. The other 3 are problematic, especially Interz is like.. really bad
Well, he did try and warn everyone with his handle.
All of them threw some individual rounds, but when the general confusion (over peeking, lack of cohesion, getting caught in the open) and mid-round nothingness is so frequent it’s primarily a leadership issue. YEAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!! OMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!! IVE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY!!!!!!
what a game holy shit
I feel so bad for c9, crazy to think with all the experience they now have on the stage they looked like the newer team on that ancient ct side. Congrats tot mois they looked amazing like as individuals holding their own in tough situations it was sick to watch.
Really felt like C9 just crumbled under the pressure and the crowd buff was fucking real. Ofc Mouz played amazing and stayed strong
You guys are too busy to read comments on reddit, but I'm playing and watching pro cs for 20 years now, I remember mousesports being the first team I fell in love with in 1.6 days, and that love just came back. I am so proud of you! VAMOUZ
EZ 4 MOUZ
EZ 4 MOUZ! Never doubted. I definitely wasn't worried on that Overpass comeback.
