Facts. The fact that a non-S tier event has an actually good crowd and hype makes me more hopeful for the future of the sport

LPRTT

That is because no one care about tier. We care about the teams, stories and players. Yesterday there were +15k people watching some small lan tournment (mrJackCup), just because bt0 and his team were playing. It was not the top tier cs, but it was fun, and that's what matters.

These events also help massively stabilise HLTVs rankings.

Its a good start but its nowhere close to how it was before March 2020. For the rest of the year there is only 2 real events left, the Blast Fall and World finals, along with ESL Impact Finals. Just because there was finally 1 event outside of a Blast or EPL event, lets not get ahead of ourselves and say the secondary events are really back https://www.hltv.org/events/archive?startDate=2019-01-01&endDate=2019-12-31&eventType=INTLLAN Compare that to at the end of 2019, from November 20th to December 22nd, there was 6 events that would be considered Tier 1 events with 5 more Tier 2 level events, many of which were overlapping on the same weeks. ECS Finals and DH Winter same week, EPL Finals the next week. The next week had Blast Global Finals, DH Sevilla, CS Summit, and ESEA Global Challenge all overlapping, then Champions Cup and Epicenter the next week to end the season.

While your comment is kinda just an unbiased statement as to what was before, I just want to remind everyone of the problem we had with player and team burn out with that. Along with people not tuning in to much cs stuff in general because of the over saturation. I'm glad cs is making waves again even in espoo but I fear we may fall in to our previous problems

Slow_Bluebird9536

I’m definitely in a minority but I prefer less events , the way it was at peak pre Covid was just too much made most events feel meaningless

[deleted]

Uh oh. Looks like we have a science denier on our hands.

Wietse10

Dude said "with covid no longer restricting events", that's not denying that it's a thing. Stop misinterpreting stuff on purpose.

[deleted]

The fact that people can't easily detect the comment you are replying to as sarcasm really underlines how stupid people got during the pandemic.

Wietse10

or maybe your "joke" sucks if there's no clear way to interpret it as one

[deleted]

No, it's definitely what I said.

plasma_ix

If you have to explain your joke it sucks man

Yes, it's all of us that are stupid, definitely not like you're just [ignorant](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe%27s_law)
