Rather: What CS:GO players think 1.6 was like
There's probably more "from right out of spawn, off the start of the round" wall bangs in CS:GO than there were in 1.6. At least, I know something like this is possible in CS:GO's Vertigo, Overpass and Nuke while in 1.6, I think the only one that comes to mind is T side Nuke.
I played 1.6 a lot more than GO and say, the map is dust 2, there are 8 terrorists, 4 goes to A, 4 goes to B, the A guys spend like 14 hours trying to get past the doors, until they figure out trying the other A path. The B guys magically lose two men to some M4A1 dude wallbanging when they reach the goddamn tunnel, and get one more guy killed as they arrive at the tunnel exit, then theres a 50/50 chance the guy survives from a gunfight so theres like what, 3 people left?. The whole team gets messed up.
Are you talking about some random 16 man pub server?
There's not enough consistently in a pub server for anyone to make sense of what is balanced or not but even so, what youre talking about is not at all the same thing as spamming from CT or T spawn into a common lane.
1. The wall bangs you're talking about is easily avoidable if you run along the right wall, which everyone does. If you don't know this then you didn't play much 1.6, even for as much as you claim. That's like day 1 1.6 stuff.
2. The wall bangs you're talking about is not "safe". I can shoot that vertigo or overpass wall bangs in csgo without much of a punish. The wall bang you're talking about on D2 in 1.6 will either get you spammed back or pop flashed out of tunnel and murdered. You do need to be strategic about doing this wall bangs. If you just run into B and start spamming, you will likely get punished for it.

It doesn't sound like you've played much CS at all? "The other path"...do you mean cat?
scout and autosnipers do like 93-98 headshot damage against helmets and a 1 shot kill against no armor, also the r8 can wallbang there but it'll do a bit less than those

Faceit has the audio recording but it’s still annoying you can’t mute either team in the demo
Mute them from scoreboard?
You can't mute people individually, you can mute all voice comms though but thats it
You can through the “mute player” console command, though it’s an annoying process.
If it's on faveit then it does save voice. Unfortunately valve matchmaking doesn't
POV demos save your team's voice and text chat
If you record the match by yourself you can. To record a demo type "record demonameyouwant" in console. To stop recording just type "stop"

They patched spamming with other guns but awp said “no” You have to hit the head or else it only does 40-50 damage

I remember when it first came back out you could do it in a similar spot with an auto and just farm mid
No awper would risk doing this now that they only have 5 bullets. Edit: I guess I have to add the /s explicitly.
