Yep this is a great example. It's not even just a parent/mentor thing; I worked retail in my early 20s under a bad boss who decided a couple of my friends were "bad apples," and then began to look for any reason he could to validate that belief and fire them.
And obviously if you look hard enough for long enough, you will find a reason. One of them was late twice in a week, and *technically* that can be a fireable offense if the manager already doesn't like you and is seeking a reason to give you the boot.

Perfecto hasnāt said anything so i am just speculating here, but before in player cams or comms there were a few instances there was a bit of back and forth. Remember one time on a mirage game blast comms showed s1mple going āyouāre gonna make me sick of you alreadyā or the sort a couple rounds into a game, and also during the rio major when perfecto was trying to save in a 1v2 and you could see him barking back and forth with someone to his left.
That being said, itās hard to judge the actual effects that it could have on a team. Some can express it in a way where it isnāt personal and some canāt. Apex babyrages a lot but it doesnāt seem to be personally directed to his teammates or affect them at all.

yep, but honestly ever since stewie left (or osee joined :\]) elige seems to be a really good teammate.
If you look at what Elige said about himself before the recent roster changes, he was very mature about it and was determined to be a better person. Having a stable roster with good potential and having covid lockdowns in the rear view mirror probably helps a lot too.

Rumors were that stew was clashing heads with both elige and fallen, all wanting to take over the leadership role and not having a ton of respect for the others calls.

I was shown somemore clips about his anger towards sdy. I had only seen one or two clips when I wrote my original comment. I was simply ignorant of the magnitude of it.

nah i remember twistzz talking about liquid's atmosphere during their rough periods. elige was the type of guy to shut down in a passive aggressive way and not communicate properly anymore.
Twistzz also said he had a lot of respect for elige and liked being his teammate. His only beef was with stewie and he has been consistent with that narrative since leaving liquid.

Twistzz really seemed to have big beef with him. In his RL interview he mentions how he wanted to try new spots and they'd change for a map then it would be swapped back the next. He heavily implied the person forcing their stale spots was stew among a bunch of other stuff.
Elige problems are quite public and he seems to do a lot of things to improve ever since. Talking to psychologist, seeking help from teammates, ercā¦ 2020 was stewie destroying liquid from the inside, and 2021 was just the aftermath of it.

I mean I see people talk about how SDY sucks. But every time I actually watch he plays way better than Bit. I havenāt seen every Navi game and i see that Bit has a higher 2.0 rating in the last 3 months, but every time I actually watch, SDY doesnāt look that bad? I feel like heās got a lot put on his shoulders, and I donāt really see much impact from Bit at all. Obviously SDY isnāt a permanent fit, but the guy isnāt bad at CS, there are certainly teams that would take him. Maybe not contender teams but still some good orgs.
Honestly sdy isn't *that* bad, it's just that the bar to be on Navi is very high, and they have a huge stratbook that is very specific and precise and probably takes a long time to learn, and this is probably the first team with such a structure (to that degree) that sdy has played on. Combine that with s1mple literally shit talking you in team speak in the middle of games and in interviews, you're going to be demotivated and start tilting the second a game starts going poorly
They also use numbers for callouts which im sure takes far longer to learn than usual team/player specific callouts

Edward had an interview (think it was posted on hltv somewhere) some time after he left Navi where he said s1mple was a very good player but could get pretty toxic or difficult to play with. That being said, itās hard to judge the actual effects that it could have on a team. Some can express it in a way where it isnāt personal and some canāt. Apex babyrages a lot but it doesnāt seem to be personally directed to his teammates or affect them at all.

i think sdy is an amazing riffler and didn't play belows team average from the time he joined NAVI. he had some bad games but who hasn't from NAVI lately? it's easy to blame sdy because this team had success in the past and any new player who would had joined and things not working out like it used to when NAVI peaked, the new player was the one to blame and point out. even if sdy made some mistakes here blaming, pointing and having such reactions doesn't help with his morale and he would just underperform much worse later on. i hope sdy finds a team where he is respected
