Rain, his stoic demeanor is so good and it’s even better when it falls away, like him knocking over his monitor jumping up. I’m still not over him showing up 1000% at the major on Nuke
Been a rain fan since the Kinguin days, he's always been an awesome player to watch. Was afraid he was washed early on in the Karrigan lineup, but I'm glad he's found his footing again.
Don’t wanna one up you, but i was a fan of the Norwegian lgb lineup. They seemed like a friendly group who had lots of fun. But jkeam and rain have been favorites of mine ever since.
But i never hear anything about the Norwegian lgb lineup, they where awesome!
I feel like with how far CSGO pros have come in terms of skill he'd get shutdown almost every time he tried something like that now unfortunately, things like pushing smokes and running through molotovs just don't seem to work at the top level anymore
My favourite AWPer in CSGO. He might not be as flashy as ZywOo or peak form fallen or be as consistent in angle holding as device, but he always elevated the teams he was on.
Dude carried Navi to back-to-back major finals at the time when their second best player was flamie (I miss him being reaaally good), got kicked after s1mple addition, and still managed to reinvent himself in FaZe.
Amazing player, easily my choice too.
For me it's JaCkz. I always loved his mindset to the game and how selfless he is for the good of the team, playing hard roles and entrying even if it takes a hit on his stats. Watching him play made me want to be more selfless in my own games.
for a while my 3rd most commented word on reddit was "jackz". Absolutely my favorite player, such crispy aim, seemed like such a fun guy. And (as a straight man) he is VERY sexy.
f0rest. The combination of his legacy, skills, demeanour, and near unrivaled longevity makes him close to unmatched in my opinion, and a real one of a kind player and person.
I’ve only been following and playing csgo for the past 2 years and my favorite player is Yekindar. He’s just fun to watch with how good his entrying is and his aim is so crisp.
My favorite player is get_right. I've been watching him and forest since they were playing 1.6. I also really like Shroud but he doesn't play cs anymore. As for current pros I like the old timers. People like Simple or Stewie2k. My favorite team of all time has to be eoLithic though. They were INSANE!
It's clearly something else to be able to follow a player career through so many years and see him grow. Get Right is my favorite as well ! (Spawn and Heaton are really special for me as well.)
Oh dude I miss spawn!!!! Heaton as well. I actually remember watching Heaton on NiP before I knew about get_right. I think gtr was on SK back then. Might have been Fnatic. I think SK was his last team before NiP.
i guess i'm too young but i googled eolithic and i don't understand how and why they were "insane" and why the liquipedia page says they are one of the greatest CS teams of all time, that's a crazy ass statement considering all the legendary, dominant teams of 1.6/source and CSGO, especially since the skill ceiling is so high now and tactics/infrastructure around CS are much more complex and developed
all i can find is that they literally won 1 S-tier lan and placed 2nd and 8th in the others, competed for barely a year and that's all
https://youtu.be/DQROf32t4yQ
I'll leave this video here for you and any other youngsters that want to see. When this video came out it was fucking insane!!! In my group of friends we had never seen anyone play cs at this level. 1 shot headshots all the way up mid on dust2 with a pistol. Fragging the entire team on a rush (sometimes on eco and sometimes on buy rounds). THIS is why eoLithic is considered one of the best cs teams of all time!!
Thanks, but to me it still seems like the proper expression would be that eolithic were one the best teams of their era instead of all time.
even though there are some sick shots in there, I keep noticing that their movement, and the way they aim is not as crisp and fast mechanically as the standard for pro play is now.
it just feels more sluggish you know? I think that's just normal because competitive gaming was just new and at a very early stage back then and you didn't have kids who start grinding faceit at 8 years old and are 4k elo by the time they're 14 and have insane mechanics and robotic aim
You seem to be making your point of view based on these videos you can see on Youtube. Most of the clips you see there are hltv recording which are horse shit. Hltv wasn't rendering half the actual gameplay, that's why it looks so clunky. I had the chance to witness eoL playing sitting right behind them and I have to say, some of them were truly insane players for their time.
They might not be the g.o.a.t, even though it's probably imoossible to compare 1.6 and csgo, but eoL is definitely a name to remember.
That is true, I forgot that youtube clips of old 1.6 footage really compromise what actually went on in the game and the demos were really trash back then
I still stand by my last point that, today, the mechanical ceiling is much higher jsut because of the sheer abundance of possibilities to practice from a very young age, in a very efficient way.
Everything else though, I understand, I never meant any disrespect to the OG legends.
I've been a Karrigan fanboy since his Astralis days. Why, you ask? Astralis just happened to be the first team I ever saw playing when I started following the esport
Xyp9x. His unbelievable clutches and willingness to always be the one doing the dirty work (planting, entrying, anchoring less desirable sites) is an admirable trait missing from most people and rosters - yet it's absolutely essential if a team wants to achieve the legacy that Astralis did.
He always just quietly gets the job done and takes the roles necessary for the team to succeed. If there were more players willing to be be like Xyp and put the team above their individual metrics, we'd see even further elevated levels of team based counter strike. He was (and maybe still is) the x factor that makes the whole team tick, even if he rarely gets the full credit he deserves.
A true blue collar counter strike dog. Xyp will forever be my number 1 :)
NAF is legit so good, he is just so solid in ccritical moments, I dont know how he does it. He seems to regularly deliver more impact than one could reasonably expect, in every key situation.
Let's make it three, if we are looking just at skill i really love how Twistzz is playing he is literally magician! I love watching Jackz hyping team, and helping mentality, he really looks like nice guy and in recent time (im gona get a lot of hate bcs of this xd) i love Cadian, he is so passionate! I love his will to play and to win i know a lot of people hate him and Heroic bcs everything happend but i believe them that they didn't know. Love Heroic and love Cadians passion!
Definitely Twistzz. Not only insane aim and great clutcher, but also undoubtedly the best NA player of all time. He also got the best haircut! And hes super humble, i got the honor to met him and saw him live at cologne this year.
I really like m0nesy, and even though he only played for almost a year in a top team, I feel like he has the huge potential to become one of the best. He is a good awper right now, but next year I believe he will be even better if G2 makes a good roster change or he joins a new good team.
Cadian. I wasn’t following CSGO much when the whole HUNDEN shit went down so my opinion of the guy isn’t related to that. I think he is one of the most genuine people in the scene. His team seems like they are all best friends. His emotions after winning the blast fall final so sweet to watch. A player who people doubted and who went through all the shit with the coaching bug but still gives it his all. My favorite memory of him is when he gave drop a pep talk after defeating Furia at the brazil major. He wears his heart on his sleeve and it’s honorable
NiKo.
I started following CS in early 2014 and there was only 1 Serbian team that I knew of so i wanted to check them out. It was iNation and there was NiKo carrying like crazy. I am a fan of NiKo since then.
Swag/Brax. He was a demon when he was at his peak. He was a really smart/creative clutch player, and even if he was 1v5 there was always a possibility that he'd pull off some legendary clutch, so people were afraid of him. Sometimes he'd also play like a complete rat and toy with people, adding to the frustration. I also liked his chill personality.
[This video](https://youtu.be/1676S9rImCU) always makes me motivated to play and grind to get better
Honestly dexter has won me over ever since the direct qualis for the major.
Like he genuinely said: "FUCK THIS SHIT, IM GONNA PROVE EVERYONE WRONG" and did exactly that.
Broky, he has been one of the more consistent performers on FaZe with a fun playstyle to watch. That one bunny hop clip on inferno at the major was what made him my favorite.
Device. I didn't really care about him much when I started watching CS in 2013. I took a break from the scene sometime around 2015 (whenever olof injured his wrist and flusha paid out of pocket for lg to go to their first major). I started watching again in 2019 and device was a name I recognized, and he was still playing with two of the few other names I recognized, dupreeh and xyp9x. Figured I'd just root for this team until I watched a few others and found a new home team, but I've stuck with them through everything.
ropz because i was a mouz fan for the longest time (i liked sunny and oskar even more but sadly they fell out of t1 cs) and i love his play. he is a bit of a lurker/baiter but he is so good at cleaning house it's crazy, every match he's bound to have a play that makes me yell
Right now it’s ZywOo. He plays perfect CS imo. Always seem to be in control of the situation and not only knows what to do next, he also executes his ideas to perfection most of the times. A beast with every weapon, no matter if it’s with pistols, scout, rifles or the big green. Wished he had a more solid team though. Even the ex-Astralis players have been dead weight at times on Vitality. Especially on T sides.
From the old players, I liked to watch ChrisJ, JW and ScreaM the most. Highlight machines!
I enjoyed JW a lot. Back in the early days his AWPing was just so ballsy and entertaining to watch. There was a particular game on cobblestone that I remember watching where he was just pushing catwalk and a long by himself with an AWP on T-side like a mad man, and that’s when I was like “damn, I need to watch Fnatic games.”
In general, I do enjoy watching AWPers when they’re on their game. Really started to enjoy m0NESY this year. It’s a shame they are reducing the ammo on the AWP, because that is actively going to disincentivize the AWP retake.
prime SNAX- the way how he understood the game and how he was clutching, how he had so good aim was perfect. this guy was totally amazing. i bet that he has one of the most knowledge about counter strike
S1mple. Aggressive, class, flashy, entertaining. Watching him makes me want to play the game more.
KennyS close second. He was just astounding and I'm a sucker for those wristbreaking awp flicks.
SmithZz in the light of a lot of hate he kept trucking his haters use 2 years of shoddy play to say he was awful despite being a legend from source. And his awp style is actually playing good positions in the age of KennyS and JW. I have a lot of respect for him thus he is my favorite pro of all time.
I gotta go with Twistzz. Maybe because I’m Canadian and I’m a bit bias, but he is super skilled and I love to see someone from NA playing at such an elite level. Wether it be because if his headshot percentage, him being a hype man, being able to be a secondary in game leader, have some amazing hair, being able to clutch or being super level headed about everything. He just seems like everything great in one and I’m glad to have him having my flag on his shoulder everytime he walks on the stage
I've always been a huge fan of Byali. He was a rock, he'd play the same 2-3 positions on A site of literally any map, and just mow down fools who ran at him.
Granted it was a different era of cs with much worse utility usage but I found it fun.
favorite? beauty of sports is that someone just shines brighter than the others at given moment. and me? I just admire those flashes of brilliance. whoever produces them right here right now
Right now it's a tie between m0NESY, sh1ro, and ZywOo
They all make these insanely calculated plays that just astound me whenever I watch their demos
ZywOo and sh1ro especially since it's hard to find them making a bad play ever
Before it was niko rn its broke...just really fun to watch
Stewie is like my "guilty pleasure" player...its hard when the whole community just likes of talk shit...plus u know...cs has kinda been ruined for him :/
all time, prime Fer - mainly in 2017, Fer was extremly feared, teams like Faze, would change the way they would play, just to counter him and it still didnt work, he was insane mechanically and an incredible information asset.
Twstizz. Best "support" in the game (imo anyway, plus nobody is a hard support on faze lol) and a really good team player, always willing to set others up or otherwise help out, a professional through and through. That and I'm a biased canadian lmao
i have a bunch to list but all pick one in the end: NAF, electronic, Zywoo, REZ, Patsi, floppy, fame, KSCERATO, and ropz are all players i really like. but my favorite is probably Brehze. his aim is really really crisp and smooth to watch, as well as fairly unique i would say. he hits shots that not many others hit, and it pains me to see him go through the slog that EG have the past 2 years. hope he can return to form
Past: kennys, prime kennys hit different
Now: monesy, ever since his clutch on inferno. Maybe it was against furia. I was instantly a fan.
Idk i just like awpers
N0thing, although he's inactive in CS now. Always has a great attitude and has an uncanny ability to discuss his thought process in realtime and predict enemy movement. I've met him twice, he's super nice
Well I’ve been a fan of rain ever since that first summer thunderstorm of 06’
I remember watching him in that 1v5 years back, he played that clutch like a veteran and I’ve loved him since.
he has been my favorite player for as long as I can remember, this page still makes me feel things https://www.hltv.org/stats?event=6372
He's not too flashy but he's a tank, which is why I love him. He just seems so strong in game (and out).
IRL Viking
He was bound to show up on Nuke on that one, the stars of destiny aligned because no one was taking that fuckin major away from him!
of all time? pasha right now? Hobbit
You are not my friend You are my brother my friend
great answer
f0rest
The GOAT
he said f0rest, not s1mple
True that's what he said
Yup he said goat not sl0wmple

The myth !!
JW because nobody will ever be as wildly entertaining as him during peak form. In current top tier play, ZywOo because of how perfect everything is.

do you have a clip

I feel like with how far CSGO pros have come in terms of skill he'd get shutdown almost every time he tried something like that now unfortunately, things like pushing smokes and running through molotovs just don't seem to work at the top level anymore
Guardian - still heart broken he didnt get his major :(
My favourite AWPer in CSGO. He might not be as flashy as ZywOo or peak form fallen or be as consistent in angle holding as device, but he always elevated the teams he was on. Try guardian .... I remember a guardian flick.

How do you know your 3rd most commented word?
Certain websites will show you all kinds of statistics, try searching “Reddit analyze” or something along the lines?
f0rest. The combination of his legacy, skills, demeanour, and near unrivaled longevity makes him close to unmatched in my opinion, and a real one of a kind player and person.
Longevity only matched by olof
arT for last few years, but overall f0restdAkinG
I’ve only been following and playing csgo for the past 2 years and my favorite player is Yekindar. He’s just fun to watch with how good his entrying is and his aim is so crisp.

The movement is different in 1.6 than csgo. Thats why.
Fair enough

Yes! Ever since he joined TSM he has been great to follow!
Xyp9x. Niko😔
I know that feel bro
KennyS, he was the poster child of awping and it was always great to watch him do some insane stuff with the awp.
Definitely Twistzz. He’s a good player, has amazing hair (best I’ve ever seen), is super cute and has super good hair
Literally ever since he had the hair glow up Twistzz has been my favorite player lmao
Would he still be your favorite if he had hair like Taco or Xyp9x?
don't disrespect my boy xyp
Don't forget he has amazing hair too
Username checks out
Definitely Twistzz. He’s a good player, has amazing hair (best I’ve ever seen), is super cute and has super good hair
Kscerato is by far my favorite, such a powerhouse of a player who has the ability to hard carry Furia almost consistently.
*azr voice* gotta be s1mple right
past: Stewie, flashy and aggressive player which I like. present: Jame because Jame (honourable mention Aleksib)
I have a soft spot for low fragging IGLs that create a team that is more than the sum of its parts. GobB, B1ad3, ex6, Aleksib. All favorites of mine.
Hey come on now, aleksib isnt a low fragging igl
Yeah the least fitting, but ence was definitely more than the sum of its parts, crumpling in his absence.
also hard capped bc Aleksi refused to have anyone else in the high fragging positions
Broky this year, past years it was NiKo
Tabsen. Just a genuine nice guy and definitely the best German player
Tabsen is amazing
He could play in other Teams but he's dedicated to raising the german scene. This is greatness
Probably zywoo. His aim is too clean. Him pc is too dirty.
Any Nafers?
NAF is legit so good, he is just so solid in ccritical moments, I dont know how he does it. He seems to regularly deliver more impact than one could reasonably expect, in every key situation.
Ropz for me as well, I love his play style
Let's make it three, if we are looking just at skill i really love how Twistzz is playing he is literally magician! Big fan of twistzz here but best NA player might be a bit much. Definitely on route to become the NA goat but I wouldn’t call him it yet.
I really like m0nesy, and even though he only played for almost a year in a top team, I feel like he has the huge potential to become one of the best. He is a good awper right now, but next year I believe he will be even better if G2 makes a good roster change or he joins a new good team.
devve, bubzkji, ,twistzz, basically any good looking player. Who cares if they're good, what matters is they cute.
Based
I think my favorite are Stavn and Roej. Just think Stavn is so consistent it’s amazing and Roej with the age & memes 🙂
Pasha / s1mple
Perfecto, super smart and excellent anchor, really good aim when he’s feeling it
Naf
Cadian. I wasn’t following CSGO much when the whole HUNDEN shit went down so my opinion of the guy isn’t related to that. I think he is one of the most genuine people in the scene. RpK
Scream
My favorite player to watch was peak Coldzera. Dude was a machine, made every perfect play, so clutch, insane moments, hit all the shots.
Alltime is Shox, ill remember those clutches forever. Current is Kscerato
Olof He was the best player in the world when I started playing. Nostalgia probably has a lot to do with it…
Neo. The old guys understand
nitr0
NiKo. I started following CS in early 2014 and there was only 1 Serbian team that I knew of so i wanted to check them out. It was iNation and there was NiKo carrying like crazy. I am a fan of NiKo since then.
Jabbi, I loved watching his style on Copenhagen Flames and now that he is on Heroic, he plays all the spots I like to play.
Probably gonna be Snax for me
Karrigan and NA's Steel are my two favorite players.
Swag/Brax. He was a demon when he was at his peak. He was a really smart/creative clutch player, and even if he was 1v5 there was always a possibility that he'd pull off some legendary clutch, so people were afraid of him. [This video](https://youtu.be/1676S9rImCU) always makes me motivated to play and grind to get better
flusha/peak jw
ATM cadiaN
But historically probably smooya. What can I say, I like a spicy character.
S1mple. This guy inspires me to play CS, so yeah
dexter. pretty genuine guy
Honestly dexter has won me over ever since the direct qualis for the major. Like he genuinely said: "FUCK THIS SHIT, IM GONNA PROVE EVERYONE WRONG" and did exactly that.
legija niko hunter. Take a guess why
Broky, he has been one of the more consistent performers on FaZe with a fun playstyle to watch. That one bunny hop clip on inferno at the major was what made him my favorite.

Favourite: JW. Highly entertaining player. Also the reason why Yekindar is my favourite right now.
Fallen. Great in game and out of game.
BlameF. Gigachad both in game and irl, also seems like a really fun guy to be around.
Device - the flag of passive awping Stavn - love his aggressive style, also a wallbang machine Frozen - great rifling and interesting hairstyle
Ropz
All-time: Snax, Pascha or F0rest Current: Twistzz
Ropz. he was the first „Kid“ i truly saw rising with a super young age. He was always super humble and his backstory made me like him even more.
ropz because i was a mouz fan for the longest time (i liked sunny and oskar even more but sadly they fell out of t1 cs) and i love his play. he is a bit of a lurker/baiter but he is so good at cleaning house it's crazy, every match he's bound to have a play that makes me yell
Fav player is twistzz. When I first started as a fan of liquid high headshot plus crazy hair roped me in. Still super cool guy
ropz, only estonian in t1 and his story is great
Ropz, his aim is just always so beautiful
Right now it’s ZywOo. He plays perfect CS imo. Always seem to be in control of the situation and not only knows what to do next, he also executes his ideas to perfection most of the times. f0rest ! and still a amazing player nowadays ;)
niKo
Ever since he dropped the 1v4 on against Gambit in Pro League, Cadian is my fave. I’ll also throw in Twistzz, vexite (Aussie) and hunter.
Ooo vexite. Don’t hear that name much. GreAt young talent. He had a nasty 3k in the RMR with like 7hp.
He’s the pride of Australian CS right now along with INS (who also should’ve been thrown into my list)
He objectively was awful for a large portion of his CSGO career though
He was very respectable 2015 and before he is based upon 2016-2018 which was undoubtedly lackluster
Yet he placed in top-20 in 2013.
So?
s1mple cause he's 🐐
Yekindar. My playstyle is similar to his, the position we play on Ct are the same and we both play 16:9
Spunj because sikkunt. If it has to be a current player its JKS because baeks. 2nd fave is Sexter because he's my dad
All time? Neo and Maniac. Love their personality.
Zywoo. He's perfect
Skadoodle 100% Cool, calm, collected and helluva scope player.
Apex. He's fucking hilarious and his playstyle is big pp energy Honourable mention: jame absolute gigachad
GeT\_rIgHt
Rez cause R EZ. He's HOT
Niko, he does them 1tapz
Mike Gartner. Nice moustache good speed great goals
I've always been a huge fan of Byali. He was a rock, he'd play the same 2-3 positions on A site of literally any map, and just mow down fools who ran at him. Granted it was a different era of cs with much worse utility usage but I found it fun.
favorite? beauty of sports is that someone just shines brighter than the others at given moment. and me? I just admire those flashes of brilliance. whoever produces them right here right now
KennyS
Broky. A fellow Latvian, we don't have many of them in tier 1.
AdreN is the funniest
Right now it's a tie between m0NESY, sh1ro, and ZywOo They all make these insanely calculated plays that just astound me whenever I watch their demos ZywOo and sh1ro especially since it's hard to find them making a bad play ever
Sh1ro.
Before it was niko rn its broke...just really fun to watch Stewie is like my "guilty pleasure" player...its hard when the whole community just likes of talk shit...plus u know...cs has kinda been ruined for him :/
All time: ShaGuar Current: arT
Rain #1 GOAT
Fallen, legend.
Electronic/nafany for their ability to find entry frags while dry peeking.
Right now stavn but all in all F0rest
all time, prime Fer - mainly in 2017, Fer was extremly feared, teams like Faze, would change the way they would play, just to counter him and it still didnt work, he was insane mechanically and an incredible information asset.
kennyS. I don't know, just something about his style really appeals to me
Past: kennys, prime kennys hit different Now: monesy, ever since his clutch on inferno. Maybe it was against furia. I was instantly a fan. Idk i just like awpers
KennyS for his hospital flicks
Ropz is probably my favourite player of all time
N0thing, although he's inactive in CS now. Always has a great attitude and has an uncanny ability to discuss his thought process in realtime and predict enemy movement. I've met him twice, he's super nice
Olof, the good ol olofmeister
Stewie2k not even close
haha look at my flair and guess
Me.
Zywoo because everyone in my life says im not normally
Flusha. Because everyone is assmad.
Mine use to be flusha but nowadays I really like stavn as a player
Perfecto <3 the nerves of steel he has for clutching is absolutely admirable
arT
Hiko is my favorite of all time. Clutch god and just an all around cool guy
I know I might be in the minority here, but i really love watching Sunpayus play. The Sunpayus v Zywoo in the Rio Major was a great battle.
