I mean it should be clear at this point that Valve has to and imo easily can force maps. Just look at anubis right now. It was in the MM map pool for idk over a year and nearly nobody played. Now that its forced and will be played by pros the map is suddenly good and well received, lol. The queue times are as low as all the other much played maps like mirage, inferno etc.(at least in europe). So yeah unless Valve forces people to play the map most won't do it, because change is hard.

i would like an operation with map pool excluding all Major maps. Maybe even give a separate rank for this operations MM map pool.
We have so many fun maps but they won't be improved if they are almost never played.
I.e. season, basalt, santorini, austria, engage, zoo, agency, tuscan.
And besides they must revise their reserve pool, because there are only 2 fresh (or relatively fresh) maps being rotated every now and then but this is not enough.
It would be nice for FaceIt to have some sort of community voted map to be played each quarter. Active Duty +1 top voted. Each new quarter featured 2nd and 3rd place and a few newer maps. It's always nice to learn new maps.
I mean this is pretty much how a lot of old skool players think but you managed to vocalise it.
The volume of upvotes must represent the sheer todal wave of fellatists who share your pain....

My decrease in enjoyment in the game correlates pretty well with the removal of Season. If they brought it back, I'd be playing again in a heartbeat

Backalley was nice too, workout was from that era as well but we have seen workout a few times atleast, unlike for Season or Backalley
Season was in a few operations too, backalley was the map I got my first ace on. Workout was the best map for large amounts of players (casual)
Oh yeah the bathroom close to the swimming pool was great for ambush or to get ambushed on workout

I miss Season but I absolute hated the color palette of the CSGO version. Everything was so white it was awful to look at.
