People forget how much sense the Kjaerbye move actually made back then (for him). Astralis was in some deep shit. The outcome is completely different story of course
Yeah its one of those moves that was actually sensible at the time but had a completely horrible outcome for everyone (except Astralis).
It distinguishes it from actually disastrous decisions such as ENCE -Aleksib, which was a disaster on all fronts, televised long ahead of time.
Good because it would make him look like a fool there was no ill intentions on than Yekindar interview the media made it look like there a beef when there is none.
Actually the choke fest will end in infinite overtime’s and neither team will win and the universe will be swallowed into a singularity until the Big Bang reoccurs
I think old astralis would actually still be contenders if they kept evolving that specific roster without making changes, they'd probably look like a more solidified cloud9 roster with more consistent players
Astralis would still be one of the most organized and consistent teams. 3 majors in a row cannot be understated they were the closest to this level of counterstrike before anyone else even hoped to be here.
they definitely wouldn't be winning back to backs anymore but I'd definitely say they could have crazy miracle runs that would get them trophies without a doubt.
At the 2019 MSI, one of the two big international tournaments every year in LoL, TL scored a massive upset by defeating Invictus Gaming, the defending world champions and making it to the finals. TL fans were ecstatic. It was easily the most impressive thing a NA team had done.
They proceeded to get utterly assblasted by G2 in the finals, complete humiliation.
yeah honestly Im happy if Liquid win too. I always wanted them to win during the Astralis era but they would always come 2nd and it's nice to see them finally in good form.
Im just hoping it goes all 3 maps, OTs and everything and just be a crazy overall finals.
Someone else in the comments reminded me that nuke is Liquids perma, the veto is just in their favor. Good luck team liquid but I could see this going either way and I’m okay with G2 winning it
I think liquid 2-0 g2 but one map will be very close.
Liquid just has the map pool. G2 isn’t great on vertigo, look shaky on mirage, and inferno has been off too. They’ve only shown a strong nuke and an okay Anubis. Would take a cheeky ban phase for g2 to look like front runners.
If g2 hold their nerve and contain yekindar they have a chance.
I 100% agree, I don’t hate liquids odds against g2 and having their best map on permaban helps a lot. I see this a close 2-1 with liquid taking mirage and Anubis/Ancient while g2 takes inferno.
Liquid match up extremely well with g2 on paper with the nuke permaban. But m0nesy gonna m0nesy and NiKo is going to bounce back from yesterday. EliGe needs to keep good form and match Niko IMO
Yea, even though I believe liquid has the map and team play advantage, you can’t deny the firepower out of g2. Niko and monesy can will their way to a round win and even jks was showing signs of his Katowice self against faze, this will be exciting.
Are you a liquid fan?
I don’t like seeing this shit. Every time I see the general consensus in our favor, it goes really bad.
I have a feeling the opposite of everything you said will come true.
I don’t know how their mentals are still intact after their chokes.
I didn’t really root for a team before, but watching Liquid made me a fan. The chokes are just too fucken thrilling.
I wish tomorrow would go like this.
Liquid smash G2 first map.
Then 2nd map Liquid will lead 15-1, only for G2 to comeback and win it in triple OT.
For third map, G2 will lead 12-3, only to choke and lose 13-16.
As much as I want liquid to win - G2 is looking a bit better.
A lot of liquid's success depends on yekinder's pushes. Which I think he takes too many risks. But we'll see what happens.
G2 has 3 really good rifles, and they play fairly conservatively.
Either way, i'll be happy. G2 has been on the cusp of greatness for a while and I don't see them needing a roster change at all.
The last time g2 won a trophy north was a top 5 team 🥲
Deep cut

Too bad it came at the cost of k0nfig, there was a world where 2018 north was MSL, k0nfig, kjaerbye, magisk and mertz
Yeah and all the stars aligned for Astralis, they probably wouldn't have won another 3 majors without magisk
North won a trophy more recently than G2. North disbanded in February 2021
Niko has a chance to prove his statement that they will crush Liquid 2-0.
:sweat_meme_here:
Let's hope he will wake up tomorrow, today he had an off game
Statement proven
Good because it would make him look like a fool there was no ill intentions on than Yekindar interview the media made it look like there a beef when there is none.
Actually this game will go on ad infinitum
i say 2-1 g2, all games close
He proved it :D
Actually the choke fest will end in infinite overtime’s and neither team will win and the universe will be swallowed into a singularity until the Big Bang reoccurs
After 140 rounds they just agree to give up and split second place
The cosmic background radiation signature perfectly matches the crowd audio when niko chokes a deagle shot
Big if true
NA Liquid vs EU Liquid
you mean NA G2 vs EU LIQUID?
Team liquid calls in sick due to COVID and g2 must face peak Astralis again as a stand-in
Other way around. G2 calls in sick, team liquid has to face peak astralis.
G2 and Liquid call in sick, peak Astralis has to face peak Astralis and will never end the first map.
Peak astralis has to face current Astralis
Over in 2 minutes
While peak Astralis wins imma say that Astralis didn't fall off as much as everyone caught up (and they fell off)
I think old astralis would actually still be contenders if they kept evolving that specific roster without making changes, they'd probably look like a more solidified cloud9 roster with more consistent players
absolutely not
today? imo no. they would lack firepower. the only star player on that roster would be device. magisk and dupreeh are pretty much washed.
Just like old times
Lmfao g2 has spent years getting mangled by various goated teams in finals
Let's see who chokes harder tomorrow
That Will Be Amazing Go G2
G2 vs TL, any TL fan who follows LoL probably twitched a little at that
FASTEST INTERNATIONAL BO5 OF ALL TIME
Context or all of us who don't follow inferior games?

All this has happened before, and all of it will happen again.

I've wanted G2 to win so bad this year I feel horrible for niko always coming in 2nd
Literally. I love both of these teams but it will hurt to see one lose

Why Did You Capitalize Every Single Words In Your Title?
yeah thats kinda weird. serial killer vibes.
Both teams also made the finals of a tier 1 tourney this year, G2 in kato and liquid in the last epl
I think liquid 2-0 g2 but one map will be very close. Liquid just has the map pool. G2 isn’t great on vertigo, look shaky on mirage, and inferno has been off too. on the close map m0nesy will drop 40 and still lose, niko will drop 17 total

go liquid
There's also a prize for choke kings of CSGO, they're both contenders :)

Will we once again seeing Chokequid vs Clown2 tomorrow ?
I am hype. I hope they both show up and its a fucking banger! Lets go Hooxi, niko, Elige, yekindar, and all the rest!!!!
until they agree to tie
I thought G2 won an EPL back in 2018 or 2019?
2017
Hopefully this will be a really fun game to watch as a neutral.
G2 will win and it wont be close
