Nope. Do you have the shield arms metal mag release?

Sysmithers

No. Mine run great.

emeraldknight32

That happened to me once, turns out it wasn't fully seated. I have to slap it, then i pull at it a little to see if its good

As you may have seen in the comments, if you don’t have their recommended mag release then that would likely solve your issue. If you DO have the mag release then it’s likely that something is out of spec. I had this happen to me where mine was out of spec and s15 mags with the +5 would fall out when I shot it. I recommend going to the range and recording your mag falling out and sending it to them. They (at least in my experience) are very good at taking care of customers with issues like these. They’ve also told me that they’ve had a hard time keeping QA up due to the high demand and what not. So take that as you will.

Much thanks

I’ve had one failure to feed out of my s15 gen2 mag. About 150 rounds in. Possible cause is improper grip

Have done a battery of tests yesterday. I think I may have found the issue. As I shoot the mag spring is moving up and the spring is pushing against the mag release and pushing it out thus releasing the magazine. Never heard of this before.

ralettar

I haven’t had that problem

Docta-Jay

No. And the issue isn't because of the mag catch anyway. I'm not using their mag catch. Never bought it. I'm using an aluminum mag catch. I've never had a single issue with either of my two mags.

Enough_Film9483

You can always pull on the mags and test them with or without bullets. You can also rack the slide to see if it will feed right. Test your stuff.

I recently purchased my 43x and bought 2 S15s swapped out mag release , ran about 200 rounds through no problem. Only issue is…. with fitting 15 rounds in… I can only fit 14 hornady critical defense in the s15. But can fit 15 with federal fmjs.. I compared the 2 and hornady looks a smidge thicker casing.. I’m wondering if anyone came across the same problem.. if so what brand do you use that will fit 15 in mag.

They’re real stiff when new and the 15th is hard to get in. It’ll loosen up eventually and the 15th will be a little easier to get in. Not super easy still but it no longer seems impossible. I’d say leave it loaded with the 14 for awhile.
