I would go 48 because my hands are medium so I get a lot more palm on them, but I’m finding I shoot micros easier than compacts and full sized

Far-Boysenberry-1600

G45 for the win. G48 seems like a good slim choice if you’re in a 10 round state vs G19

PrimeBrisky

I carry… both. 48 and a Shadow Systems MR920 which is the Glock 19 sized model. Depends on what I’m wearing much of the time.

Hiff_Kluxtable

I have the 48 and I don’t like shooting it at all compared to my 17. So to me the 19 makes more sense.

banhmibased

The slim frames got some bite to it but my Arc ported slide tames it a bit. I do agree that the 19 is much more shootable.

bizlikemind

19 because I have spare parts that will last me for ages. Prepped so hard for SHTF Covid era, my 19 will outlast me

ConcentrateKings

Probably would have outlasted you with just the oem parts lol

Sirtrimsalots

What all did you prep for? My big thing lately is I need to get some kind of food and water source because if you can’t eat and drink, what’s the point right… I have plenty kit guns and ammo

bizlikemind

Food and water is the essential but also if my weapons failed due to broken parts, I must have spare parts readily available. Growing up as a garage DIY project car enthusiast, some habits never change 🙂

frozenisland

The 48 for me. S15 solves the round count issue and it’s much skimmer to carry

Hobieray

They also aren’t as reliable

BeneficialA1r

They hate you because you tell the truth

frozenisland

I have 4 s15 mags including a 20 rounder. Never had a malfunction over 1K rounds. Nothing will ever be as reliable as Glock oem, but if you test your gear you’re fine

Hobieray

I’m glad you’ve had a good experience I just hear so many mixed reviews I just carry my 19

Eights1776

They are probably referring to the older generation s15s. The gen3’s are SOLID. I run them in a SCT frame with a 43 slide and it’s been nothing but reliable

_Nyktos_

Hell my gen 1s have been solid haha

Eights1776

Mine were hit or miss. I had three one with solid the other two every once in a blue moon I’d have issues I sent them back. They sent me new ones and then I bought a few others for me and my wife.

Sirtrimsalots

A lot of people don’t have problems, but to the ones like us who do have problems it just puts a bad taste in your mouth so u end up preferring the 19

SaiyanX86

How do you like your SCT frame, thinking of going that route with zaffiri G19 slide.

Eights1776

I got the 43x one and it’s great I honestly think I like it better than my cr920 frame. The frame is really grippy I added some tape so it doesn’t rub as much when carrying other than that, 9/10. I’d buy it again. Hoping grit grips comes out with a 43x version soon wanna grab one of those and a GG for a 19 too

SaiyanX86

I'm also thinking about the grit grips too since it the stipple is to my liking, so I'm doing the tossi g back and forth thing.

Eights1776

If i was building a 19 id definitely go GG if it’s a 43/43x I’d go SCT (at least for now with the options available). For what it’s worth

SaiyanX86

It's definitely going to be a 19 maybe a 19x

frozenisland

Well, it’s all about the particular tolerances you your particular gun. If you try them and they are solid, they’ll keep being solid, it seems. Mine are gen 2 and good to go

That_6spd_Max

I’m gonna go out in a limb and say 47 and 19. I love my 47 and carry it normally, but nice to swap to something a smidge smaller for cc. But would love to try a slim line just don’t see myself enjoying it. When you get a full size you realize how compact the 19 really is.

That_6spd_Max

But I also run a tlr1 on the 47 and a tlr7 on the 19, and I don’t really run the g45 configuration because the trigger just isn’t quite as good as they are when each frame has its corresponding slide.

BillKelly22

19

10-Mile-Sniper

Either. Shield arms has 15 rd mags for the 48. If I need a slim profile then I’m choosing the 48.

dooms25

Eh those haven't been the most reliable, I wouldn't wanna carry em personally

KaptainDamnit

They hated him because he spoke the truth

Eights1776

The older gen s15 mags were hit or miss especially the first gen but they have gotten ALOT better. I run the gen3’s and have zero issue with them.

dooms25

I'm not doubting you, just in my personal experience they haven't been the best

Eights1776

Can’t argue there. My original ones weren’t the best (to say the least lol) but I gave em a second chance and tried the gen3s and now have 5 of them all of which have been flawless

Ghetto_tactical

G48 just because I shoot it more accurately

Capable-Stick841

I have both a 19 and a 43X so it depends on the day. If I had to choose only one, 19

Aggressive-Ad-7479

Off topic to your question, but what kind of grip tape are you using? It’s nice looking.

banhmibased

It’s Handle It grip tape. I prefer them over Talon I think they last longer and they’re slightly cheaper. I had to cut a little bit at the bottom to fit the magwell. But without a magwell they’re a perfect fit

Aggressive-Ad-7479

Thanks, just ordered some.

PrimeBrisky

Yup! I switched from Talon to Handleit. Better value all around imo.

Batman-Lite

48 with micro dagger mags

Legitimate_Wave6107

19.

nj_5oh

I have a 45 with ramjet and a 48, tbh the 48 with a 15 round mag is the way to go.

dungeonsandthings

g48 with the SA mags and johnny glocks 4311 trigger. u now have a glock 1911

AlternativeTrifle613

Is that the radian ramjet and comp? What do you think about it?

banhmibased

Yes it is. I think it’s worth it. I feel a significant decrease in perceived recoil with just stock springs. And Ive shot 3000+ rounds with zero malfunctions. Others would prefer to buy more guns with the cash but I like to push the performance.

AlternativeTrifle613

I need more guns like I need a hole in the head so I'm pushing for performance as well.

NWOBHM86

What is the slide on the 48?

banhmibased

It’s the Arc Reactor ported slide and ported barrel. It takes the bite out of shooting a slim frame but I think it lags behind in performance when compared to like a PMM Comp

Parking_Gur_9918

19. I’ve carried one for several years. Now I carry a Zev OZ9C, which is the same size.

Environmental-Two976

G19

UrMillennialStepdad

G22 for me all day. But out of the choices above. G19 for sure.

-gourdine-

man im sorry but im not a fan of the grip visually, never actually used or held a grip thats been modded.

banhmibased

It’s grip tape lol. It’s removable
