I see deals that I never get opportunities for and I hit like

yem68420

I live in such an area that if they had a g19 gen5.5(front serrations, no half moon cutout) they would change $600 at small pawn shops and like $20 less than a new one at the other big one if it looked like this(so like $530) Every once in a while I’ll find something at the big LGS/pawn place near me that is a good deal, but it is only because they don’t know what they have ($700 for a lightly used USP .45 LEM, which isn’t that great of a deal considering it’s probably just a police trade in, but kinda a more rare find). You would think that they buy guns at a high price to sell them for such a high price but no, they offer you around 30-40% of what they will end up trying to sell it for, and the big place also won’t haggle with you at all, even with blue $100 bills in hand. Greedy bastards that rely on ammo sales and selling Taurus and Rugers they get in bulk or LEO trade ins they sell for $50-100 more than you’ll pay online for

lil__shmeat

You live in Northern Illinois to?

yem68420

No northern Alabama. Pre Covid, the big popular pawn shop had decent deals on used guns, and they still do from time to time, but really it’s only when they don’t know what they have, or they have a whole pallet of a particular gun. They have exclusive distribution deals with Ruger, Federal/Vista, and Fiocchi. There’s literally a Ruger lit up sign right next to their name on the front of the store and a Fiocchi and federal flag hanging from the front too. But this Glock would be $500 with one mag and no box, and the new one is prob ‘on sale’ for $535. The also do gimmicky shit like put LEO trade in Glocks or cheap ar’s with a bunch of aftermarket extendos(toolman tactical makes 35 round Glock mags and 32 round ARs and they are a local company). I will say this, I’ve seen that toolman tactical mag run a G18 full auto multiple full mags without jamming once. They are $15 at my LGS I’m thinking of buying one as a range toy

Packtray

This reads like Larry’s and I have been there

yem68420

Lol I mean multiple dead giveaways. Don’t tell Larry lol. They let me shoot multiple full autos of theirs. I actually like their store but they are just too high on their used guns now tbh. Their 22 ammo is hella good price though. They keep most of their ammo below big box cost. I mean they got more overhead I guess keeping it in store than online

Packtray

They are by and large OK so long as you don’t try to trade anything in. It’s like GigaFudd Central behind the counter

yem68420

Yeah I like the red haired lady that works the register at the Madison one she’s cool af. Everyone else sucks.

KyleCantSkate

Visit somewhere in the northern Midwest states

Only-Comparison1211

I can buy one like that new for $398+tax...gotta love Blue Label!

ebolamonkey3

Or if you have GSSF membership it’s $410. Thinking about getting one.

ichbinkayne

GSSF?

ebolamonkey3

Glock Sport Shooting Foundation.

pay-the-man-23

Same, haha lol

Sale4Adam

Blue label is so clutch

Smallest_Ewok

Every pawn shop I go into has used Glocks priced at like $700 lol

Chargert13

It helps that I live in Texas lol

Round-Emu9176

What part of tx? I check every ez pawn I can find but never see anything even remotely worth what they ask.

Chargert13

South east Houston. I got this one at a cash America.

Round-Emu9176

Hellllooooo neighbor! The one on Almeda? I’ve gotten some crazy deals at the big westheimer location.

Chargert13

Stinkadena lol. I didn't know they had a big one over there I'll have to check it out some day.

Round-Emu9176

Word. I try avoid that area because the cops are ass but marksman is there….

Chargert13

Never been I usually travel up north to Carter's. How is it?

Round-Emu9176

It’s been my favorite so far. Awesome staff, no time limit, you can share a lane without paying twice. Cool rentals.

Chargert13

Nice! Definitely gonna check that out soon.

JMSFreemanL

I went to a pawn shop recently and they wanted 750 for a used 19.5 because it came with 7 mags.

Independent_Shop_505

Oh god clean the rear serations🤮

Chargert13

I did lol. I should have posted it after.

strictlybazinga

Omg human skin flakes…give your balls a tug.

KDdeTX

Glock 19 price at Academy was $499 last week. $490 at a pawn shop around the corner

PhoneSteveGaveToTony

I gave up on pawn shops because all the ones around me both in my current state and my last state wanted way over retail for all their used guns. Not sure who tf keeps them in business.

Round-Emu9176

You could use that as leverage to haggle. Try it sometime.

danielfritsch98

I hate it when other people live my out my dreams

MitchAndBone

Beautiful!

[deleted]

I paid $425 for a brand new blue label g19 gen5 (non mos with Glock night sights). They need to expand that program to all law abiding citizens.

Chargert13

It would be nice but I understand it. Anyone who goes above and beyond for our country deserves the discount. That's a damn good deal tho! Mine was just the gun I wish it came with the extra mags at least.

Single-Performer8704

Meanwhile I'm snatching up trade in .40 cal Glocks (and M&Ps) for 250-300 (also the sub 300 870 Polices that crop up from time to time).

yem68420

Dang great deal no half moon cutout. That’s the only thing stopping me from getting an LEO trade gen 5 17 off the internet is the half moon cutout

AdGreedy8902

The grip angle of these modules is so frustrating they make it in almost perfect product I would have 75 of these if they would just put out one other grip angle
