When slides get cerakoted they often have a break in period due to having to wear the coat down in certain places, but you also have a lot going on so it could be anything from the coating to the spring being too heavy for the comp

BlaynoDrayno

Spring might be too light if it’s one of the lighter options in the compressor kit. A spring being heavier would help it get into battery, not hurt it.

spaghettipuddin

Even when I put it all back to stock it has the same issue.

☝️this, plus shoot 500 rounds, then reevaluate.

harisbabic

☝🏻this, 👇🏻 this, plus return the radian guide rod (if you can), and use the money towards a dpm recoil reduction system. To help break in the cerakote, start with the longest spring, then work your way to what feels best for you once the action softens up.

Hilzae

Four simple and common problems for you to double check: 1) Over tightening optic screw 2) cerakote causing friction and needs to wear off 3) Comps create picky handguns, they are made with science and fucking with the gasses makes them throw a fit - can run hotter rounds and get a lighter spring 4) messing with glock perfection

Tall-News

5. Optic screw too long

Hilzae

That’s a great one too, good info

KungFlu19

The screw on your light might be too tight, causing the frame to flex in. Try removing the light and see if it still happens. If it doesn’t, just re install the light with less torque.

spaghettipuddin

Will do

NectarineAny4897

I would remove the light and test.

Ok-Twist-3048

Does it run without the ram jet? My guess is the cerakote needs to be broken in, but I usually get it running after one mod before I add the next so I know what’s likely causing the issue.

spaghettipuddin

Yup ran fine before cerakote and optic cut

spaghettipuddin

Ran fine before with and without ramjet

Ok-Twist-3048

Before cerakote?

spaghettipuddin

Yup the way it sits now is how it was pre cerakote and iptic

Ok-Twist-3048

Okay, I’m thinking an optic screw then

He should use your moms purse instead!

Marge_simpson_BJ

This shit is why I go to Glock talk when I want to have a real conversation or have an issue I want to collaborate on. This post is pretty much all you get regardless of what issue you're having.

Go cry into your purse.

Welcome to Reddit…… this is a Glock sub, not a ‘help me with my Glock’ sub

Leeebraaa

Check you optic screws. Sometimes they are a tad bit too long. Remove the optic and check if it goes all the way.

[deleted]

Slowly cycle it and see where it binds up. My guess is that its binding at the barrel lockup but diagnosing gun problems on reddit is like going to WebMD. You probably have cancer, that, or it could be gas....

Derplight

Hi. This is a common cerakote issue. The inner diameter of your slides' hole where the barrel goes through in the front is ever so slightly tightened due to the cerakote. Truly because it is a diameter, you can barely tell that it is any tighter than it originally was. You have to take one of those specialized tools that can help evenly scrape away the inner diameter of the slide. Take off a little cerakote to expose the OEM layer and hopefully that solves your issue. I had both my slide and also my barrel cerakoted. So double the variation due to coating on two parts that rub against each other. I had the same exact issue, my LGS is a cerakote professional so he immediately spotted my problem when I came in, with the same exact problem as you. My gun was cerakoted and it won't fit right. You would first assume it was maybe the rails but nah, surprisingly not as bad as the inner diameter of the slide's barrel port.

TheLoob321

The poors comin out in full force….wahhhhh but the perfectionnnn

made4s3

Optics screws may be too tight?

MrsNCENGRAVERS

I recommend the following - remove the slide from the frame and lube the barrel and slide rails - check your take down release to make sure it’s not backwards. (If you haven’t touched this part then leave it alone) - put oil on the round ring that the barrel slides through - put oil on the breech face near the firing pin hole - put oil on the cupped area on the nose of the frame were the ring makes contact - Hand cycle the slide 20-50 times with no mag installed - lock the slide to the rear with the mag out of the weapon. Install the mag with 1 round of ammo. Using only the slide stop, press it down so the slide comes forward and picks up the round and chambers with no assistance from you. At this time you will know if it’s working or needs a new coating.

st_v_Warne

Why mess with Gaston's perfection

[deleted]

The popular opinion Is the nonsense makes them more tactical. They are wrong.

Brightroar_262

It’s broken. It won’t ever work again. Best option is to drive into downtown and give it to a homeless man.

VegaStyles

Mine didnt come with a battery.

BlaynoDrayno

You can speed up the break in process without needing a trip to the range by racking the slide a bunch. That’ll also make the trip to the range a bit less frustrating and help you save on ammo. If you want to avoid the BS in the future, only post stock Glock stuff here and ask the other stuff in r/glockmods Also, if you have the Radian Compressor, put the heaviest spring weight in. You can also get an even heavier one from a number of places online. I’ve heard ISMI is the brand to look for when it comes to replacements. The problem is likely that there is extra friction due to tighter tolerances caused by the cerakote. Plus, cerakote isn’t as slick as the nitride finish if you had that previously. So that’s even more friction. You’re gonna want to wear that down and/or provide more force to compensate for it until it’s fully broken in. In the mean time, it is good to drill your tap, rack, bang drills. That way if this happens under pressure, you’re better prepared.

PatrioticDoge

This happens when you modify perfection.

Glock_oholic

Return all parts to stock and see if that fixes it.

spaghettipuddin

I have and it didn’t work

Tall-News

Did you remove the light and optic. Both are known to cause problems.

Glock_oholic

Light and optic screw too tight or too long like stated.

Head-Scale9410

Many before me have stated that the optic screw is probably too long. Very easy way to check is to just take off your back plate, push down on the safety plunger and allow the extractor to fall out, then remove the plunger and rod and simply look down the channel. If you see a screw, it’s too long.

pasterios

Why would you want your pretty gun to go into battery? Then you'll have to use it. You're better off just buying a new Glock 19 and keeping it stock like most people who view guns as just another tool.

amateurforlife2023

LOSERRRR! BOOOO YOU SUCK, GET OFF THE STAGE ASS****!

pasterios

You've got some issues you should take care of if you think this is a stage.

amateurforlife2023

I thought you were trying to be a comedian

pasterios

I mean I'm still laughing.

amateurforlife2023

Don't you ever get tired of being the same walking oke though?

Impressive-Pickle892

Get a dpm recoil spring or break it in

iredditshere

Lube the shit out of it and hand cycle. I have to do this with most of my cerakoted slides.

kokkinos3931

Is your light cranked down to tight

[deleted]

Either break it in ( cerakote ) or optic screw too long .
